Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 777
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
After hesitating for a moment, I slowly made my way towards Rufus, reaching out to hold his outstretched hand. Rufus stared at me unblinkingly, as though he was scared Iâd disappear in the blink of an eye.
My mind seemed to stop working. All I could think about now was him. At this moment, I was about to compromise.
Just as my fingertips were about to brush against Rufusâ, a fierce gunshot rang out.
I looked at Rufus in horror as he slowly knelt down on one knee. Then I saw a bullet hole in his shin.
âRufus!â I screamed at the top of my lungs. The b***d all over my body seemed to run cold and my heart seemed to stop beating in my chest.
Without a second thought, I threw myself at Rufus. I didnât expect that Blair would pick me up and run away at that moment.
Before I came to my senses, Blair had managed to drag me to a hidden cave. I struggled to free myself from Blairâs grip and saw that he was holding a small pistol.
I instantly exploded in anger and punched Blair square in the face. I grabbed his collar and shook him, roaring, âHow dare you shoot Rufus?!â
Blair coughed up b***d again, clutching his chest. He thrust the gun into my hand and said, âItâs just an ordinary gun. I avoided any the vital organs and just hit his leg. A werewolfâs body is already strong, let alone a lycanâs. Heâll recover in a few days. Iâm the one who was almost beaten to death by him, okay?â
He gasped in pain as his wounds were torn open again. His face was beaten black and blue, and it was so red and swollen that it almost looked like a pigâs head. Rufus clearly didnât show him any mercy.
Even so, I gritted my teeth and cursed him. âYou deserve it.â
Blair smiled bitterly and coughed up some more b***d. I had no choice but to give him the ointment Iâd brought with me. Then I sat at the mouth of the cave and ignored his existence.
It was dark now. We were in the middle of the wilderness and I could hear birds chirp from time to time. Sitting there in a daze, I had never been in such a bad mood before.
Blair furtively applied the ointment on his face and g*****d in pain. âIf I hadnât grabbed you away, Rufus wouldâve taken you back and imprisoned you by now.â
âThatâs better than hurting Rufus,â I said coldly. Even though Blair was right and he had helped me escape successfully, he shouldnât have hurt Rufus. While Rufus had been shot with just an ordinary bullet, heâd still be hurt. Moreover, the fact that Blair brought a pistol with him and even shot at Rufus so decisively showed that he was already prepared to hurt his friend. Perhaps in his eyes, Rufus was no longer a friend.
Now that things had come to this, I knew in that moment that everything was going south. Rufus was probably heartbroken.
Realizing this, my heart ached again. He was in pain and I wished I could be there for him.
âHey, hey, donât be angry. I did this for your own good. Didnât you want to escape? If you were taken back, youâd never be able to leave the imperial palace for the rest of your life.â Blair turned on a flashlight and aimed it at me. It seemed that he was in much better shape now.
I wiped away my tears with the back of my hand and faced the opposite direction stubbornly.
Blair clicked his tongue helplessly. âAnyway, Iâm not taking you back. Weâve finally made it out alive and now, weâre on the same boat. Rufus must think that weâre having an affair.â
I couldnât stand it anymore and hissed angrily, âShut the f**k up!â
âFine.â But Blair wasnât done yet. âEveryone thinks weâve eloped. The misunderstanding is unavoidable.â
I clamped my hands over my ears and didnât want to listen to Blairâs nonsense any longer.
Fortunately, that was the last of what Blair wanted to say. After a while, I took out my phone to text Rufus, hoping to at least comfort him. However, before I could even type a single word, my phone was snatched out of my hands. The next thing I knew, Blair was smashing it to pieces on the ground.
