Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 793
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
What I said seemed to only make the atmosphere even more awkward. I just wanted to hide somewhere at that point so I didnât have to face him.
Rufus, on the other hand, didnât react much. He just opened the first aid kit in the car, pulled off the suit jacket that was covering me, and applied some ointment to my wound. He didnât say a single word the entire time.
I sat up and let him wrap the gauze around my chest. When I felt like he was almost done, I extended my arms and showed him my tied hands. âRufus, can you untie this for me? Iâm so thirsty and I want to drink some water.â
Rufus looked down at my hands, but he didnât make a sound. He continued wrapping the gauze around my wound and finished it with a cute bow knot on my chest.
When he was done, I quickly grabbed his hand. âRufus!â
Rufus looked at me expressionlessly. He didnât withdraw his hand from mine nor did he give me any respond. He just let me hold him.
âI know itâs my fault that I escaped from the imperial palace andââ
Just then, he interrupted me by throwing his jacket over. âPut it on. Iâll call the driver.â
I pouted and slowly let go of his hand. Then, I put on his suit jacket and buttoned it up. After making sure I was decent, he knocked on the window and signaled the driver to drive up here.
âGo back to the imperial palace,â he ordered.
After that, he leaned against the seat and closed his eyes. He didnât talk to me at all on the way back.
As I sat beside him, I felt so nervous. I didnât know how to coax him.
The silence on our way back was deafening. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the rumbling engine.
Still, I took the initiative to admit my mistake by clearing my throat and saying, âRufus, Iâm sorry. I was wrong.â
Rufus didnât open his eyes. He looked as if he had fallen asleep.
I bit my l*p and looked at his handsome side profile. I couldnât do anything to soothe him, and I felt utterly helpless.
When I scooted closer to Rufus, I carefully put my hand above his on the armrest of the car.
He still didnât respond.
I slightly squeezed his hand and rubbed his palm against my cheek. âRufus, please talk to me. Iâm sorry. I know I was wrong. I just wanted to go back to the pack and get my motherâs inheritance.â
When I looked at him again and carefully examined his expression, my heart ached. He wasnât reacting at all.
âAre you asleep?â I asked in an audible whisper.
Rufus tilted his head to the side, his eyes still closed.
I loosened my grip on his hand and looked down. âWhat are you going to do with Blair?â
âDonât say that name,â Rufus immediately interruptedâthe tone of his voice cold and distant. âIf you donât want him to die, donât mention his name in front of me ever again.â
Sensing his hostility, I had no choice but to shut up and sullenly sit back in my seat.
It seemed like Rufus still didnât want to talk to me.
Eventually, we arrived at the palace, and we got off the car in silence. As usual, he carried me back inside.
I nestled in his arms and gloomily looked up at him. It looked like he had made up his mind not to talk to me this time.
On our way back to the room, I didnât see anyone I knew, not even Maya. She was probably busy with work.
I wanted Rufus to put me down so I could walk back to my room, but he was against it. On top of that, he looked infuriated.
So, I helplessly stayed quiet in his arms, thinking about how I could make him happy.
If kissing and hugging wouldnât work this time, maybe I could try out the new sexy lingerie that I hid under my bed. I believing that Rufusâ anger would immediately go away if I did that.
But when I saw the golden shackles on the bed, I finally realized the seriousness of the matter.
Rufus was expressionless as he put me on the bed and locked the shackles around my ankles.
