Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 795
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
A frown formed on Rufusâ face. He glanced at what I was holding and asked me curtly, âWhat is that?â
I covered the box in a rush so he wouldnât see it. âItâs just my motherâs belongings. I found it in her secret room.â
âOpen it. I want to see.â Rufus grabbed my wrist, exuding a dominating aura.
âYou donât believe me?â I was so upset that I almost lost my cool. This guy was tough to deal with whenever he was mad. He was like a high-tech detectorâno lie and secret could get past him.
Although he didnât say a word, his silence was enough proof that he didnât believe me.
âOpen it, or Iâll do it myself.â
I held onto the box tightly and stared at him aggrievedly. âAnswer my question first. Donât you believe me?â
I wanted to stall for time. Rufus had so many other things to deal with, so he certainly didnât have the time to argue with me. However, he lost his patience and reached out to grab the box.
âOkay, okay! Iâll show you!â I covered the box in a hurry to stop him from taking it away.
Rufus withdrew his hand and stared at me with a grim expression. âOpen it.â
Pouting, I expressed, âFine. What are you so fired up about?â
I opened the box and handed it to him. âHere.â
A small black stone was lying inside. It looked so ordinary, just like any small stone one would find by a river.
Rufus reached out to take it, but I closed the box and protected it as if it was a treasure. âDonât touch it! I havenât forgiven you yet. I wonât let you touch it unless you unlock the shackles!â
Rufus stared at me silently for a few seconds with a poker face. As my shoulders slumped, I started to wonder whether I should just give in and let him touch it, despite my nagging sense of guilt.
Just as I was about to say something, Rufus grabbed his jacket from the bed, turned around, and walked out. âI need to take care of some business. Iâll come back early tonight to keep you company.â
âWait, unlock the chains first!â
Rufus didnât take my words seriously.
âThen how about a k**s? Itâs been days since we last kissed. Donât you miss it?â
I deliberately seduced him in hopes of forcing him to get rid of the chains as soon as he got close to me.
But I didnât expect him to walk out on me calmly without looking back.
Well, I guessed this hateful man didnât love me anymore.
Infuriated, I feigned a stomachache. âOh, shit! My belly! It hurts so much. My poor baby! Mommyâs heart hurts. Your Daddy is such a bad guy!â
As I shouted at the top of my lungs, I glanced at Rufus from the corner of my eyes. He finally stopped in his tracks and turned his head slightly to look at me.
Seeing this, I screamed harder, âDaddy doesnât love Mommy anymore and it breaks Mommyâs heart. My dear baby, when you are born, you must avenge Mommy and beat up your stupid Daddy! Ouch, my belly hurtsâ¦â
I thought Rufus would come back to coax me, but to my surprise, he just maintained a straight face and instead said, âIâll call the doctor in to check on you.â
Then he left and closed the door.
I flung a pillow at the door in frustration.
Damn it! Was my acting skill so terrible? Was it so bad that Rufus could tell at a glance that I was putting up an act?
âOf course, your acting is so ridiculous and unconvincing.â Yana sneered and spoke to me with contempt. She had been this condescending recently. She ignored me most of the time, and when she was in the mood to talk, she just sound real sarcastic.
I felt even more aggrieved, so I slammed the bed and yelled out, âRufus, you jerk! I wonât talk to you anymore! I mean it!â
