Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 801
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Rufusâ POV:
I felt a headache coming on, but I had no choice. It wasnât easy for Sylvia to find something that she would enjoy, and I didnât want to disappoint her.
âLet her be. Iâll talk to my father.â
âYes, sir,â Maya said with a nod and turned to leave. âWait!â I exclaimed, causing Maya to stop in her tracks and turn back to look at me. âWhat do women like to do nowadays?â
âWell, judging from Miss Toddâs personality, I donât think she likes shopping like most girls. I think she likes flowers and plants, though. She also likes to do handicrafts and read military books. Playing games together could also strengthen your bond with her, Prince Rufus. Maybe you should try it sometime when youâre free.â she smiled. âOh, and she likes furry animals the most, too! One time, we saw a stray cat in the palace garden, and she played with the cat for the whole afternoon.â
Sylvia really did love furry animals. When we were together in private, she always liked to touch my wolfâs tail and ears.
I thought about what Maya said for a while. Then, I asked her to go to the royal pet hospital and bring a cat back. I also told her to prepare a gamepad and download the most popular games. I didnât want Sylvia to be bored while she was alone.
âAlso, I want you to prepare some food that Sylvia likes. Sheâs probably depressed right now, and she eats when she feels upset.â
I subconsciously let out a smile as I said that. I couldnât wait to go back and see her.
Maya nodded. She went silent for a while before she cautiously asked, âPrince Rufus, how long are you going to lock Miss Todd up? If you keep her locked up, Iâm afraid that sheâll drift farther and farther away from you.â I didnât say a word. My heart felt heavy as I watched the glassof water on the table. I was really mad, and I just wanted to give her a little punishment. I didnât plan to lock her up for long at first.
But then, I realized that locking her up wasnât as bad as it seemed. I wanted her to stay in the palace and let her live under my protection for the rest of her life.
I couldnât stand her running away from me again.
âMiss Todd loves her freedom, and she doesnât like to be restrained. I think her escape will be inevitable if you keep this up,â Maya added, her voice slowly becoming lower.
âYou can leave now,â I interrupted with a frown. I didnât want to hear anything like that from her anymore.
âY-Yes, sir,â Maya stammered. She seemed to realize that she had said something wrong and soon left in a panic.
After she left, I sat in the meeting room, alone. I didnât know how long it had been, but when my surroundings were completely shrouded in darkness, I snapped out of it, lit a cigarette, and held it between my lips.
My mind was filled with all kinds of thoughts, but I still didnât know what to do with Sylvia.
When I went back to the palace, it was already evening, and the hall was brightly lit. The star-shaped lights looked dazzling in the garden, but unfortunately, the only person I longed to see wasnât on the
swing.
I looked up and found out that the window on the third floor was pitch black. I thought something was off when I noticed that. It was supposed to be time for her dinner. As soon as a maid moved past me, I stopped her and asked, âWhereâs Miss Todd? Did she have dinner yet?â âGood evening, Prince Rufus. Miss Todd said that she wasnât feeling like eating tonight, and she asked us not to serve her dinner.â
âI see.â
When I went upstairs, I frowned. The hallway was silent. Did she get tired of singing for hours?
I knocked on the door and called out to her, but no one answered. It was as if no one was in the room.
But the sound of someone breathing indicated that she was, in fact, inside.
I furrowed my eyebrows and unlocked the door. But as soon as I opened it, a white wolf suddenly rushed out.
