Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 874
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
After I finished, I put my hood over my head to cover my face. Then, I went to say goodbye to Laura.
Laura was sitting in the hall, seemingly lost in thought. When she heard my footsteps, she looked at me and wearily said, âThank you.â
âYouâre welcome. Now that everything is settled, itâs time for me to go,â I told her.
Laura stood up and slowly walked over to me. âThe previous trial was mainly to lure Noreen into the trap. I didnât want to make it a big deal, so I put an end to the news. The packs outside the capital donât know about the trial, but the news of your death has already spread. Warren should know by now. Are you going to tell them the truth?â
âThat doesnât matter. Iâve sent a letter to Warren and Flora yesterday. Theyâll receive it soon,â I explained.
I felt guilty for them, so I decided to prepare a long handwritten letter, hoping that they would accept my apology.
âThatâs good.â Laura sighed. Her expression was a little more complicated than before. âAt least you need to explain the situation to them. Warren, Harry, and Flora treat you as their best friend. Iâm sure they donât want you to die or become the sinner of the empire. You made a good choice by telling them the truth.â
âI know. I was wrong at the beginning. I thought I could just cut ties with them and leave, but I realized doing that will only hurt them more. That was the first time Joanna cried in front of people. She had never been that emotional, not that I could recall. And I canât help but feel so guilty whenever I think about Harryâs swollen eyes.â
âThereâs no turning back now. Donât give yourself too much burden, okay? Iâm sure theyâll understand. Youâve already made plans for everyone. Now itâs time for you to think about your future,â Laura comforted me in a soft, gentle voice.
I nodded and embraced the sadness I felt. When I slowly calmed down, I smiled. âBy the way, Noreen is dead now, but Blair is still under her influence. He should be able to slowly return to normal, though. Please remember to release him as soon as he fully recovers. What happened was probably hard for him. If he hadnât gone back to my pack to get the piece of evidence for me, he wouldnât have been cursed and suffered all this.â
I didnât forget Blair. Even though he still had feelings for me, I believed that he would eventually move on. He was like an older brother to me, and I truly hoped that he could live a good life in the future.
âPlease explain everything to Blair for me. Heâs Rufusâ best friend. I have no doubt heâll cooperate with our plan.â
Laura nodded. âDonât worry; Iâll have someone take care of him. After that, Iâll release him and explain everything.â
I let out a grateful smile. âThank you for everything. Without your help, this plan wouldnât have worked so smoothly. Iâm sorry for making you a bad person. I know youâre also in a dilemma.â
It wasnât easy for Laura and Rufus to finally get along with each other, but now, she had to lie to him because of me.
âYou shouldnât blame yourself, Sylvia. Itâs not your fault. All of us are already involved in this mess anyway. Besides, the choice you made is the right one. We can talk about the future at another time. Just take your current path first. I hope you donât stray from it,â Laura sensibly replied.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I gave Laura one last hug. Then, I let go of her, turned around, and was about to leave.
However, she grabbed my arm, causing me to stop in my tracks. Then, she asked, âWhere are you going?â
I smiled. âThe world is a big place, and I want to explore it. Iâll tell you as soon as my baby is born though.â
Just then, Laura took out a document and handed it to me. âWhy donât you have a look? I think this place is suitable for you.â
