Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 896
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Berylâs POV:
I peeled my eyes open and pushed Arron next to me as soon as the door closed.
Arron didnât move, as if he had really fallen asleep, but his frowned eyebrows sold him out.
âCome on. I know you are awake.â I reached out my hand and pinched his frowned eyebrows. I found it amusing how terrible he was at pretending to be asleep.
Arron kept his eyes closed and helplessly replied, âListen to Mommy. Go to sleep.â
âBut Mommy is going to leave without you.â I leaned close to his ear and blew on it haughtily.
Instantly, Aaron sat up and opened his eyes. With a scowl on his face, he looked at me and said, âThat canât be true. Mommy said she would take us with her wherever she went.â
I curled my lips and felt very unhappy, âThatâs a lie older people say to kids like us, and you believe that.â
Arron didnât give a response. He was fiddling with the quiltâs tassels, looking quite gloomy.
âDid you see when Mommy was talking about camping just now? Her eyes were fluttering and she nervously caressed the pulps of her fingers. She was obviously nervous. This is what she always did when she wanted to trick us. And she was way too happy when we agreed. Donât tell me you didnât notice.â I crossed my arms on my chest and looked at my stupid brother.
Arron pursed his lips and didnât say anything. Obviously, he too noticed that something was off. But he was hesitating about being a good child or being a needy brat.
What a stupid brother.
I heaved a sigh, pointed at Arron, and added, cheekily, âI can tell you a little secret, but you have to help me finish the corn at breakfast tomorrow.â
Iâd always hated corns and when I saw it written in the menu for tomorrowâs breakfast, I couldnât help but grimace. To avoid making Mommy think I was a picky eater, I had to ask my brother for help.
Arron nodded, âOkay, deal.â
Ecstatic, I held his hands as I sat cross-legged and began to ramble, âFew days ago, I heard rumors that the packâs Beta is organizing some sort of military parade. It would be a gift to that king in the imperial capital.â
âThe lycan king?â Arron asked in confusion.
âYes, that lycan king Grandma mentioned before. I had no idea he was the king of the imperial capital. He was simply referred to as âthe kingâ by everyone.â I shook my head and tried to mimic how an adult spoke.
A hint of amusement was evident in Arronâs face as he asked, âBut what does it have to do with Mommy leaving us behind?â
A hint of amusamant was avidant in Arronâs faca as ha askad, âBut what doas it hava to do with Mommy laaving us bahind?â
âYou fool! Mommy is an Alpha. She has to go to the imperial capital! Otherwise, the king will be angry.â I put my hands on my waist and gave Arron a sprightly grin.
âWhy?â
âOther Alphas have been there, but Mommy hasnât. How can the king not get angry? So Mommy has no choice but to go to the imperial capital this time.â I was very sure. My intuition told me this was it. Now we had to find a way to follow Mommy there.
âDo you want to go to the imperial capital?â I kept asking Arron.
He cocked his head and thought for a while before finally saying, âYes, but we have to listen to Mommy.â
âIn that case, you can say goodbye to seeing Mommy.â I snorted.
âBut Mommy will be mad if we misbehave.â The frown on Arronâs face clearly showed that he was in a dilemma.
âIf we donât follow Mommy, it will be long before we see her again. You will be much sadder then.â I gave Arron a sideways glance, determined on brainwashing him.
As expected, he was staggered. After some thought, he finally inquired, âThen what should we do?â
Seeing the fruit of my efforts, I grinned and leaned closer to him to discuss our plan.
