Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 938
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
Feeling a little embarrassed, I tried to explain it to Laura. âArronâs a spitting image of Rufus. I just know that people will be suspicious as soon as they see Arronâs face, so I had no choice but to cover it with bandages.â
âBut I saw b***d oozing from his forehead just now. It looks very serious.â
Laura didnât take my word for it. She turned Arron around and studied him carefully.
âNot only his forehead, but also his arm. He has so many bruises. I think I should ask the doctor to do another general check-up. Better to be safe than sorry.â
Laura stood up and was about to call the doctor, but I tried to stop her. âArronâs fine, I promise. Iâll take off the gauze so that you can see for yourself.â
Arron sat obediently on the edge of the bed and let me remove the gauze from his head. The wound on his forehead was indeed the most serious one, but his situation wasnât as bad as Berylâs. He would be fine after resting for a few weeks.
Laura touched the stitches on Arronâs cheek and tutted, feeling sorry for him. She kept muttering about ordering the Royal Hospital to develop an effective scar gel.
I knew that Laura just loved her grandson so much, so I didnât say anything.
âIâll ask my doctor to check on him later. Although the other wounds arenât that serious, Iâll only feel relieved after having him checked by a professional,â Laura turned to me and said decisively.
âBut Arron looks so much like Rufus. Iâm worriedââ
âDonât worry. Heâs my private doctor and confidante. He wonât breathe a word of it to anyone. All the gifts Iâve sent to Beryl and Arron over the years were also handled by that doctor.â Laura insisted that unless her doctor declared that Arron was fine, she wouldnât feel at ease. I couldnât change her mind, so I helplessly instructed my subordinate to fetch her private doctor.
Arron and Beryl often video chatted with Laura, so Arron knew that she was his Grandma as soon as he saw her, and they immediately started bonding.
Laura took Arronâs hand and led him to the table. âLook, Iâve brought you some goodies.â
Arronâs eyes lit up instantly. He took the chocolate biscuit from Laura and took a small bite. âYummy!â
Laura touched Arronâs soft hair lovingly. âIâll bring more if you like it.â
âBring some for my sister, too. Iâm sure sheâll like it.â Of course, the considerate Arron couldnât forget about Beryl. He even pointed at some snacks on the table, saying that Beryl liked them and that he wanted to save them for his sister.
âArron, donât worry. Your sister also has a lot of snacks.â With an affectionate gaze, Laura stroked Arronâs hair lovingly.
âGood!â Arron nodded in satisfaction and then began stuffing biscuits in his mouth, his cheeks bulging.
I sat on the sofa and watched the interaction the between grandmother and grandson. I also felt happy. It turned out that my fears and worries were completely unnecessary. No one knew what the future held, so all we could do was be brave.
In the past, I was scared to bring the two little children to the imperial capital. I wanted to protect them, but clearly I forgot another important thing.
Beryl and Arron would grow up soon. The world was so big, and I couldnât keep them in the border pack for the rest of their lives. The imperial capital was a nice place. I shouldâve relaxed and let the two children enjoy themselves. They had different paths to go, and it wasnât my place to interfere.
While I was thinking about these things, a voice suddenly came from outside, announcing that the lycan king was coming.
My ease vanished and was instantly replaced with panic. I was so scared that I started to tremble. I hurried to grab the bandages beside the bed and rushed to Arronâs side.
But it was too late. The door was opened and Rufus had already come in.
