134.Secret Tunnel
[BL] MY TOUGH HUSBAND BOOK 1
Han was somewhere at the temple's dormitories where the monks lived.
This area was the worst burned because most of the buildings were made of wood.
Han came to one room. Two burned corpses lay outside. There was only a slice piece of dark yellow cloth which should be a monkâs uniform. Besides, the heads of the corpse didn't have burnt hair, it could see that they were monks.
Han crouched down in front of the two bodies, but he didn't know where to start. He had a look at Tian Yusu who just come.
"Tian Yusu, are these two monks?"
Tian Yusu nodded. "Yes, they are monks." He then got a secret guard to check if there were any clues on the two monks.
Han walked into the dormitory room.
There were three bodies in the room. The furniture in the room was burned. But compared to things outside, the furniture in the room was not completely burned.
Tian Yusu and Han started to search the room.
After they found nothing in the first room, they continued the search in the second and third roomsâ¦
In the end, 23 bodies were found. The monk who made out of the room might be the abbot of the temple. Tian Yushu did not allow Sun Yuan's fellowmen to take away his body. He arranged a secret guard to watch the body.
Han Tingxuan had just arrived when it was already evening.
The abbot's body had been taken back by their fellowmen, not by anyone from the local government.
Han Tingxuan went straight to talk to Han. At that time, Han and Tian Yusu were searching the hall for clues.
There must be a reason that the temper was under attack. There must be some problems with the temple!
They had been searching for so long not because they were looking for a clue, but for a secret tunnel.
"Big Brother, you're here," Han walked towards Han Tingxuan.
Tian Yusu also looked over. "What happened to Zhou Yueqing?"
Han Tingxuan told him everything.
Tian Yusu raised his eyebrows. "Do you call the case a closure?"
Han Tingxuan asked rhetorically, "What else can I do? Alarm them? Beat around the bush?â
Tian Yusu thought about it. "You are right. There is nothing you can do."
Han Tingxuan squinted at Tian Yusu. "Arenât you here for business? Why are you so interested in this temple?â
Tian Yusu pursed his lips and said softly, "My intuition tells me that this has something to do with my business being damaged."
"Really?" Han Tingxuan narrowed his eyes again and didn't say anything.
Han looked at Han Tingxuan and then at Tian Yusu without saying anything.
At this moment, a secret guard said, "Your Highness, we found a secret tunnel!"
There was a secret as they anticipated! Everyone's eyes lit up and they walked over.
The entrance of the secret tunnel was behind a Buddha statue, not a Buddha from the main hall, but in the northeast corner.
Han Tingxuan couldn't help but sigh. Although time and space were not the same, history was somewhat similar.
Religion in this world was similar to the modern world.
They also shared the same myths and legends here. Perhaps it was also one division of a certain dynasty.
Han Tingxuan did not know about these things nor did not want to delve into the history here because it was meaningless!
When they reached the entrance of the secret tunnel, a secret guard took the lead to get down the tunnel. A moment later, he said down in the tunnel. "Your Highness, it's a prison."
A prison?
Tian Yusu and Han Tingxuan exchanged eye contact. Then Tian Yusu said, "I'll go first."
Han Tingxuan nodded. As Tian Yusu got in the tunnel, Han said, "Big Brother, I will take you down there."
Han Tingxuan said, "Okay, be careful."
After Han Tingxuan and Han went down there, Qian Yun, disguised by Shadow Two, and Shadow Four and Shadow Seven went down, followed by a few of Tian Yusu's secret guards.
When Han Tingxuan landed, he immediately smelled a stench and frowned uncomfortably.
Tian Yusu and the first secret guard were in front of them.
It was a very spacious underground. There were three cells. One cell was full of many people who were dead. However, it could tell that they were probably dead for only a few days. That was why this place smelt of dead bodies, but the bodies were not completely rotten.
There was only one chain in the second cell. It was thick and not long, hanging in the air.
The first secret guard checked and said, "It's made of cold steel."
The chains made of cold iron were extremely difficult to break. Even martial art experts couldn't break the chains easily.
Han Tingxuan walked into the cell too.
"There are words here," the secret guard found a few words under the dried grass.
Han Tingxuan and Tian Yusu hurriedly walked over. Han Tingxuan's eyes lit up. It was the handwriting of the Haishan The Elderly!
Haishan The Elderly once was imprisoned here!
There were only a few words: universe, shadowless, and the last word looked a little like⦠Sun.
It was doodled there. But it looked very much like âSunâ.
Han Tingxuan's eyes turned cold. Sun Yuan?
Tian Yusu also frowned. "Universe? Shadowless? What does it mean?â
Han Tingxuan did not understand what this meant. They checked the entire cell to see if there were any other clues. But apart from these words hidden under the grass, there was nothing else.
There was nothing in the third cell. There might be something but it was erased or taken away.
Just like Haishan The Elderly!
After taking a deep breath, Han Tingxuan said, "Let's go on."
Tian Yusu had no objections. So the group of people went further.
As they moved forward, it got narrower and darker. Tian Yusu had the secret guards make a few torches so that they could see the tunnel.
Suddenly, Han Tingxuan stepped on something and that thing made a crack sound. Tian Yusuyi immediately said, "Be alert!"
Then, arrows flew towards them.
Han Tingxuan did not think he would survive if he came here alone.
Thankfully, there were many of them, and most importantly, they were all good kung fu masters.
Han Tingxuan, who didn't know martial arts, was protected in the middle by many people. Tian Yusu did not have so many people to protect him.
Shadow Four and Shadow Seven protected Han Tingxuan well.
Shadow Two followed closely behind Han Tingxuan, while Han carried Han Tingxuan to dodge the incoming arrows as he leaped forward.
Finally, the arrows were dodged and no one was hurt!
"There is a trap inside. Everyone, be careful," Tian Yusu said to Han Tingxuan.
Han Tingxuan nodded. Shadow Four walked in front, paying attention to the traps. Han Tingxuan tried his best to step in othersâ footsteps.
After about a quarter of an hour, they arrived at a place similar to a hall.
There was a small platform in the empty hall. On the small platform, there was a little Buddha statue.
However, it was black, and the eyes of the Buddha statue were blood red!
Everyone was somewhat attracted by the Buddha statue. At this moment, the blood-red eyes on the Buddha statue suddenly turned and shot out two strands of mist.
Everyone was shocked. "Poison gas! Be careful!â
The next moment, Han Tingxuan felt that there was a wet handkerchief to cover his mouth and nose. Then, Han carried him to run wildly.
The others were quick-witted. Nevertheless, as everyone passed through the hall, two secret guards coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood.
As for Han Tingxuan, he realized that the handkerchief he used to cover his mouth and nose was wetted by blood!
"Han! What did you do?" Han Tingxuan was shocked.
Tian Yusu looked over and Han waved his hand. "No worries. It's just a little bit of blood. Now you donât need it. You can give the handkerchief to them. They can cover their mouth and nose for a while. It will help them feel better.â
Han Tingxuan was mad. But after taking a deep breath, he tried to calm himself down and asked, "Do you have any medicine with you? Youâd better apply some.â
As Han Tingxuan was angry, Han did not dare to say anything else. He quickly applied medicine to his arm.
Tian Yusu was also very angry. His fist was so tightly clenched, although he knew he was in no place to say anything.
After that, Han Tingxuan split the handkerchief into halves and gave each to the two poisoned guards.
The two secret guards covered their faces with the handkerchief, raised their heads, and calmed their breaths.
Moments later, both of them felt much better.
Han Tingxuan looked at Tian Yusu and saw his unfriendly eyes. He raised his eyebrows and said slowly, "Uncle, you're fine, aren't you?"
Tian Yusu squeezed a few words stiffly. "I am fine."
Han Tingxuan smiled and didn't say anything. Then, everyone continued to walk forward.
This time, they once again came to a narrow tunnel that was spacious anymore.
Then, they heard the sound of running water. After a few turns, they walked out of that place.
"What is this place?" Han Tingxuan said as he saw the night outside.
"I'm not sure for now," Tian Yusu looked around and said. Then he arranged two secret guards to look around.
Tian Yusu came to Han and asked. "Is your arm okay?"
Han looked at him in confusion. "I'm fine."
He answered coldly. Tian Yusu felt depressed!
Han Tingxuan overheard their conversation, but the corner of his mouth curved up slightly.
"Han," said Han Tingxuan.
Han immediately walked over. "Hmm?"
"Let's take a look over thereâ¦"
"Good," Han agreed.
