Han Tingxuan had a feeling that Nangong Wudi did come for something good. But there was no excuse to shut him out.

"You should know that a forced marriage won’t be happy. I have no intention of marrying anyone else…"

“Your highness,” Nangong Wudi said seriously, "Are you going to be single forever? If you are worried about his majesty’s opinion, we will ask for  the emperor’s permission."

Han Tingxuan's eyes squinted. "As I said, I only love one man in my life, my late male wife. Are you sure your brother will be happily married to me? You don’t want him to marry a man who will never love him back. Right?”

Nangong Wudi smiled bitterly. "Of course, we hope he will be married happily. But he is quite positive that he won't be happy without you. There is nothing I can do.”

Nangong Wudi smile was bitter, but Han Tingxuan's eyes became colder.

“I’ve said what I meant. I hope that you won’t cross over the line. Sorry that I won't invite you for breakfast. I have to go change my court uniform.”

After that, Han Tingxuan left, leaving Nangong Wudi alone.

Nangong Wudi smiled bitterly. A moment later, he sighed and got up and left.
