Everyone at the party was stunned when Olive appeared in the authentic starry dress.

Olive went on to gift the old lady an earmuff as a birthday present.

The gifts that Mrs. Robert had received were expensive Jewelerics and valuables. And Olive had the guts to give the lady an earmuff.

The audience were certain that Mrs. Robert won’t accept such a cheap gift.

Mrs. Robert looked at the earmuff and quickly accepted it with a smile. But in the next second, Mrs.

Robert placed the earmuff on her head and turned around happily.

“Olive knitted this for me. The earmuff is really warm. Doesn’t it look it good?” Mrs. Robert grabbed the two cars of the earmuffs and made cute poses.

Everyone was shocked. They had thought that the old lady would throw the earmuff into the trash. But instead, she wore it happily.

“Yes, it’s so beautiful.”

“Olive is really creative.”

“That earmuff is absolutely beautiful!” The crowd instantly pretended to loving the gift.

Nora and Crystal were dumbfounded. Crystal had never been loved by Mrs. Robert. Crystal felt really envious as her grandmother treated Olive with genuine love.

“Olive, I really love the birthday present you gave me. I can’t bear to take it off.” Mrs. Robert held Olive’s hands as she laughed happily.

Olive didn’t expect Mrs. Robert to like the gift so much. She said sweetly,

Tm glad you like it, Mrs. Robert”

“Olive, I’m about to make a wish now. Come let’s walk together to the cake stand.” Mrs. Robert quickly pulled Olive to the cake stand.

Everyone gathered around and surrounded Olive and Mrs. Robert, as they sang a happy birthday to the old lady. The atmosphere seemed to be a little lively. But Nora and Crystal stood dejectedly at the corner of the hall with no paying them any attention.

Crystal stared at Olive, who was now surrounded by the crowd. Olive’s current position was meant to be Crystal’s, but Olive had stolen it from her.

All the joyous anticipations in Crystal’s heart had disappeared.

Crystal tugged at Nora’s sleeve aggrievedly.

“Murn, why is grandma treating us like this? Isn’t Olive simply an outsider? She questioned sadly,

Nora clenched her fingers into a fist. The spotlight which was meant for her and Crystal had been sna tched away. She also didn’t understand why Mrs. Robert loved Olive so much.

“Why was it Olive?” She questioned inwardly.

Even though Mrs. Robert was always home, Nora didn’t believe that she wasn’t aware of all that was going on between Olive and the Paulo family.

To Nora, Mrs. Robert’s constant display of love for Olive was a warning to them. A warning they couldn’t afford to

adhere to.

Nora stared at Olive, her eyes revealing hatred, resentment and disdain.

Mrs. Robert made a wish. Amidst the loud cheers, Mrs. Robert blew out the candles with a broad smile.

The cake was shared by the ushering crew. And then it was time for the dance.

The dance was particularly for young people. Mrs. Robert excused herself and returned to her room.

But when she entered her room, Mrs. Robert realized that someone was already waiting for her. It was Nora.

Nora stood in the dim light and stared at Mrs. Robert.

“Mun…” She called out, as she stepped forward.

“You can excuse me, Okay? I want to rest for a while.” Mrs. Robert muttered tiredly.

Nora didn’t move. She looked at the earmuff that was on Mrs. Robert’s ears.

“Do you really want to recognize Olive as your granddaughter? Do you know how much this issue hurts Crystal?” Nora questioned calmly.

Mrs. Robert stared at Nora indifferently, and then replied.

“In the future, Olive will be my granddaughter, and Crystal will also be my granddaughter. Why would Crystal be hurt by that?”

“Mum, we won’t allow you to recognize Olive as your granddaughter!” Nora retorted impatiently.

Mrs. Robert smirked, and said.

“It seems you really don’t like how welcoming the Robert family has been to you. And what makes you think that you have say here?”

“Mum, it’s been so many years. I’ve tried my best to do everything in my power to please you. But why I haven’t I been recognized by you? Even Crystal, you haven’t liked her since she was young!” Nora complained bitterly. “Nora, why haven’t I recognized you? Have you forgotten all that you did?”

Now that Mrs. Robert had mentioned the past, Nora’s face turned pale. She had definitely done something wrong. she had cheated!

“It’s true that I cheated. But there was a reason for that. After I got married to Damein, he had always left me alone in the room. He had never touched me, and was always indifferent to me. I got drunk that day and had sex with another man. I didn’t do that on purpose! The man I loved was Damein!”

Mrs. Robert sneered.” Why do you think that Damein never touched you? Why did he not care for you?

That was because you had climbed into Damien’s bed after you had drugged him!”
