He went out and left his cell phone on her bed. When Nydia called, Josephine stared at the name on the screen in disgust and leaned back on the pillow, sneering.
Nydia hung up and didnât call again, which disappointed Josephine. She thought Nydia wouldnât stop calling until Cade answered her. That must be how she got Cade into her bed.
Thinking about this, Josephineâs smile instantly disappeared, hands pinched into fists. She swore not to let it happen again. Cadeâs phone buzzed, this time with a message from WhatsApp sent by Nydia.
Josephine picked up the phone and clicked the message. She was happy that Cade didnât give Nydia an alias on WhatsApp. That meant Nydia was merely a nobody to him.
[Come home early. We need to talk.]
She knew it! She knew Nydia wouldnât give up so easily. Josephine grimaced furiously, her knuckles whitening as she squeezed the cell phone. She muttered to herself, âGo to hell, bitch! He wonât go tonight. He wonât go back to you in the future. He will stay with me forever!â
With trembling fingers, she immediately deleted the message.

âMaybe a few more days,â Cade said with little emotion.
At this moment, Cadeâs cell phone suddenly rang again.
Josephineâs face darkened instantly. It must be Nydia calling. She couldnât just hang up the phone with Cade around, but she didnât want him to answer.
âCade, My head aches. Which medicine should I take?âJosephine held her forehead, looking weak.
Cade ignored the ringing phone, instead preparing her medicine and placing it in her palm. He then handed her a glass of water.
She frowned, âThe water is icy. Can you â¦â
Before she could finish speaking, Cade pressed the service bell at her bedside, saying coldly, âBring over a cup of warm water.â
Josephine didnât even have time to stop him.
After that, Cade turned around and picked up the phone.
Josephine bit her lip and glared at his cell phone as if it was Nydia.
Fortunately, it was a man on the phone, and Cade didnât notice the missed call from Nydia.
