I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 26
Nydia saw the desire in Cadeâs eyes, so she quickly jumped onto the bed and wrapped herself up with a blanket. She frowned and ordered, âGet another room yourself!â
Cade sneered and taunted, âThat is a sanctimonious act. You dress like that to seduce me, donât you? Well, what agreement did you reach with my grandpa?â
The truth was the same as what Cade assumed, but Nydia felt ashamed when confronting Cadeâs bluntness.
Nydia thought, âI canât show him Iâm panicking.â Thus, she looked into Cadeâs eyes, raised her chin, and replied, âMr. Jackson, Iâm impressed. You saw everything with those eyes. Yes, I did have a new agreement with Orson. He suggests I tie you down by having your kid, and Iâm down for it. Mr. Jackson, are you willing to give it a try?â
Cade did not expect Nydia to admit her plots. He pondered, âRight. Nydia never hides her purpose of marrying me. She did it for benefits.
Cade snorted and replied, âYou wish.â
Nydia continued to tease and disgust Cade. She asked, âWell, Mr. Jackson, can you give it to me?â
Nydia thought, âJosephine accepted Marenâs invitation to stay, so she is in the doom downstairs. I donât believe Cade dares to release his urges under such a circumstance. Moreover, Josephine once threatened Cade by killing herself. So, I think Cade should leave in minutes.â
Time went by. Unexpectedly, Cade did not leave. Instead, he stood still like a ghost and stared at Nydia, which gave her a
chill to the bone.
A while later, Cade walked toward Nydia and sneered, saying, âWell. Letâs see what you can do.â
Nydia was shocked and could not say a word, shouting inside, âCade plays wild cards again.â
She kept moving back until she hit the wall. She had nowhere to go, so she crossed her hands before her breasts and
stared at Cade.
Cade rested his legs on the bed and knelt before Nydia. Then, he grabbed the blanket with his hand. Nydia observed Cadeâs every move and asked, âCade, you love Josephine, donât you? Sheâs downstairs. You should be with her.â
Cade replied, âThis is my house. I can be with anyone I want.â With that, he pulled off the blanket.

Nydia clutched the blanket and refused to let it go. As Cade yanked it, she was pulled forward and kissed on Cadeâs lips. She was shocked by the cold and dry sensation and widened her eyes. She screamed inside, âOh my god! I kissed Cade!â
âHuh.â Cade chuckled and mocked, âWell. You canât wait, can you?â
Nydia was too awkward to retort. She cried inside, âItâs not what he thinks! Can someone please come and help me!â
Nydia wanted to escape, but Cade did not give her the opportunity. He reached out and wrapped his arm around her, gently pulling her downwards. âI hope you didnât brag about your abilities,â he murmured. With that, Cade pushed Nydia down and

pressed his body against hers.
âCade, calm down.â Nydia put her hands on Cadeâs chest, trying to stop him. âDo you want to watch Josephine destroy herself over you again?â
Cadeâs desires instantly disappeared, and his expression darkened.
Nydia seemed to have touched Cadeâs nerve by bringing up that event. She thought, âI didnât see that coming. His reactions annoy me. Does he care for Josephine that much? Is his love for her that strong?â
Nydiaâs rationality vanished in a sudden rush of emotion. She impulsively reached for Cadeâs neck, pulled him close, and kissed him without considering the consequences. She even bit his lips.
Cade was stunned for seconds. Then, he squeezed Nydiaâs shoulders and pushed her away, warning angrily, âDonât act like
a bitch.â
Nydia was stubborn. She hugged Cade again and bit his lips harder until they bled. Cade moaned out of pain. He narrowed his eyes and attacked back harder. Instantly, the smell of blood permeated their mouths. Nydia closed her eyes and undertook this moment.
Driven by anger, Cade turned ruthless. He ripped Nydiaâs nightgown off and pinned her hands firmly above her head with his own, asserting dominance.
However, Cade abruptly stopped. He released Nydia and brought her hand closer. It was at that moment he noticed three deep wounds on Nydiaâs palm. The wounds started bleeding due to the frantic movements.
Cade asked with a stern expression, âWhat happened to your palm?â
Nydia applied medicine to her wounds every day, but they still healed slowly because they were too deep.
She did not want anyone to see her wounds, so she covered them with concealers when she attended Orsonâs birthday

She washed the concealers off during the shower and found scabs were formed. Unfortunately, when she struggled to get
rid of Cade, the wounds started to bleed.
âSpeaking of my wounds, I owe Cade a thank you.â That thought brought coldness into Nydiaâs eyes. She squeezed a smile and replied, âMr. Jackson, are you expressing your care for me? What an honor. If I knew hurting myself could win Mr. Jacksonâs care, I shouldâve cut myself more.â
Nydia hit two birds with a stone. She was not just referring to herself; she was implying Josephine as well.
Nydiaâs words irritated Cade. He gripped Nydiaâs hand harder, and his veins punctuated on the back of his hand. He replied coldly, âI have no interest in nuts who hurt themselves.â
Nydia retorted, âMr. Jackson, are you saying Miss Brooks is a crazy nut?â
Nydiaâs eloquence left Cade at a loss for words. He was annoyed, yet he could not do anything to her. It was the first time he experienced such frustration because of another person. He realized that his frustration stemmed from Nydia being out of his control.

Chapter 26.
Someone suddenly knocked on the door. âCade, are you still up? Iâm feeling unwell. Can you come out for a moment?â It was Josephine.
Nydia stared at Cade coldly and thought, âMurphyâs Law kicked in.â
As Nydia expected, Cade got up without hesitation and left without looking back.
The room immediately fell into silence.
Nydia lay in her bed, staring at the light on the ceiling, and thought, âTying Cade down by having his child? What a joke it is. Heâs so devoted to Josephine that he canât stand to see her upset. How could he even have interest in having a baby with
me?â
Nydia closed her eyes and clenched her hands tightly. The pain from her palms suppressed her annoyance.
Josephine led Cade into her bedroom. The moment they stepped inside, she threw herself into his arms, clutching his waist tightly and inhaling his body smell greedily.
Cade asked, âWhat?â
Tears ran down Josephineâs face. She replied pitifully and timidly, âI had a terrible dream. You abandoned me in my dream, and I was desperate and dropped off the building. The pain still lingers.â
Suddenly, Cade recalled what he had said to Nydia, thinking, âI donât like people who enjoy selfâharm. I mean it.â
Josephineâs previous action made Cade uncomfortable. Therefore, Cadeâs expression darkened when he heard Josephineâs words. He pushed Josephine away and replied plainly, âDonât overthink. I wonât abandon you. Now go to sleep.â
Josephine raised her head and looked up at Cade, seeking for confirmation. âReally?â
âYeah.â Cade looked away to avoid eye contact with Josephine and hide his thoughts.
Josephine noticed Cade was impatient from his tone. She realized something was changing, but she refused to admit it.
Josephine knew Cade would get mad if she continued to ask questions. However, she made up her mind to do it. She would never do it if things were the same as before because she knew Cade liked her for being gentle and obedient. She had won Cadeâs favor by being considerate to him, admiring him, and expressing her love for him. The premise of all those was that Cadeâs love for her was unwavering. However, things had changed.
Out of fear, nervousness, and envy, Josephine asked, âCade, am I still the only woman you love?ââ
