Veronica wondered, âThe Wiley family primarily invests in international education, with ninety percent of their business operated abroad, while the Jackson family doesnât engage in that field. What makes these two families competitors?
Nydia did not believe Veronica and retorted, âThe Jackson Group in like an empire in the business world. I donât think we can know every detail about its business.â
Veronica sighed and agreed, âTsk. That makes sense. You are Mr. Jackson, yet you have no access to those top secrets, not to mention an outsider like me!
Everyone in the wealthy social circle knew how much Cade loved Josephine.
Veronica shook her head and murmured to herself, âWell, it looks like Iâm out of my mind! Observing Nydiaâs distressed expression, she nudged Nydia in the ribs and asked, âSo, whatâs your plan?â
Veronica was not worried about Nydia getting hurt by Josephine and Cadeâs relationship. She understood that Nydia and Cade had remained in their marriage for five years solely for the benefits. What concerned her more were the next steps for Nydia, as she knew the Sharp Group meant everything to Nydia,
Nydia replied plainly, âI guess Iâll just play it by car.â
Veronica pondered, This topic is too heavy. Delving further will only bring Nydia down.â With that in mind, she said, âForget about that man.â She grabbed Nydiaâs shoulders and shook Nydia, trying to pull Nydia back from those distracted thoughts. Then, she smirked and added, âDonât waste our precious youth. Iâll show you what deserves your time later.â
As Veronica finished her words, a group of men entered the room. Nydia glanced over and noticed they were all young. attractive guys from the entertainment industry. They exuded an aura of youth that matched Nydiaâs outfit perfectly.
Veronica exclaimed, âCome over here to meet this beauty. She rested her hand on Nydiaâs shoulder and gestured toward the boys as if she were a parvenu inviting them over for her exclusive enjoyment. The scene amused Nydia.
The lights were dim in the room, and Nydia dressed casually, so those boys did not recognize Nydia as the famous Mrs.
Jackson.
One boy walked over and asked, smiling, âVeronica, may I have the beautyâs name?â
Veronica tugged the boy over and made him sit beside Nydia, replying, âHer first name is Beauty, and her last name is Fairy. Just call her whatever puts a smile on her face.â
Nydia felt uncomfortable with a male stranger beside her, so she whispered to Veronica, âI donât think this is appropriate.â
âWhat are you scared of? Having fun doesnât hurt the Jackson familyâs business. With that, Veronica gestured for the other boys to join them, saying, âYour only job tonight is to have a blast. Iâve got you covered if anything goes sideways.â
Nydia felt awkward being around a group of attractive boys. Even though she was usually comfortable chatting with male colleagues at work, she suddenly felt shy in this situation.
The boys realized Nydia tensed up and took turns to toast her. Nydia felt a wave of dizziness after indulging in glasses of

wine and gradually relaxed.
One boy suddenly said, âBeauty, remember, my name is Lewis Harvey. Iâm going to perform later. Please show up support me if you have time.â
Nydia, feeling groggy, nodded heavily and assured, âSure. Iâll get you whatever you need.â

A party unfolded in the presidential suite 3021. Over ten men and women swayed to the loud music on the dance floor. The grand crystal chandelier cast its glow, illuminating every corner of the room. Every detall exuded opulence and luxury.
Those males were all from wealthy families in Creekheim.
A man was flanked by girls, with a cigar in his mouth. He leaned toward the beautiful girl on his left lap and whispered urgently, âListen to me. Play this one.â
The girl grinned shyly and replied, âMr. Glen, I canât play this one. Mr. Milton is waiting for it. Heâll win if I give it to him.â
Liam Glen raised his hand and squeezed the girlâs waist. He smirked and teased her with a dirty joke, âWhat about it if you give it to him? Heâs better than me.â The girl in Liamâs arms got shy and blushed.
Paul Milton crossed his legs and grinned, retorting. âYouâve never tasted mine. How do you know Iâm good? Iâd wager everyone here teaming up couldnât beat Mr. Jackson, Am I right?â With that, Paul glanced ahead.
Cade was dressed in a dark green suit and lounged casually on the Uâshaped sofa. Two buttons of his shirt unfastened, offering a peek at his toned muscles.
He rested with his eyes closed. His long eyelashes cast shadows on his face under the light. His chiseled face was partially concealed in the darkness, adding to his mystique.
Hearing people talk about him, Cade slowly opened his eyes and looked over.
Cadeâs glance made the girlâs heart beat faster. She cried inside, âThat man is unbelievably handsome! Itâs no wonder every woman in this city adores him. Itâs not an exaggerated rumor. Itâs the truth! Sadly, he appears aloof, which pushes people away from him.â
Cade seemed in a good mood today, so Paul and Liam felt confident making jokes around him without worrying too much.
Paul poured a glass of wine, walked over with a smile, and placed it before Cade, asking, âWhy did you join the party alone tonight? Whereâs Josephine?â
Josephine was the only woman Cade introduced to his friends, which revealed the importance of Josephine in his heart. People were convinced that Josephine was the only woman Cade loved.
Josephine lived up to peopleâs expectations and became a friend of Cadeâs friends. As a result, Paul, Liam, and the rest recognized her as Cadeâs sole romantic interest. This was not just beneficial for Josephine. It also brought advantages to the entire Brooks family. With the support of these affluent young men, the Brooks family stood to prosper even more.
On the contrary, they barely talked to Nydia and knew nothing about her even though she was Cadeâs legal wife. Such

occurrences were typical within upperâclass circles, so the boys did not find it surprising.
Cade maintained his calm expression and did not reply to Paul.
Paul added, âYou guys seem to have a good relationship. You should do something to acknowledge her since she has been with you for five years.â
Cade finally opened his eyes and retorted coldly, âItâs none of your business.â
Paul felt a shiver run down his spine as he caught Cadeâs gaze. He thought, âDid I say something wrong? But what I said was true. Josephine is already 25. Itâs getting awkward if they donât tie the knot soon. Josephine is my friend too. Itâs natural for me to be worried about her.â
âBoom!â A vibrant burst reverberated outside, followed by a series of it. Colorful fireworks reflected on the windows, making the scene as splendid as a fairy tale.
âDamn it. The show starts!â Liam exclaimed excitedly. âCome on. Turn on the TV now!â A roar was instantly heard in the
room.
Imperiacy Club was the premier entertainment venue in Creekheim, drawing in all the influential and wealthy clients. Those clients were not merely there to drink. They built up connections and exchanged business favors and opportunities.
Business was often done better in luxurious places. Recognizing this, the club owner built an expansive stage and invited various celebrities to perform every night. The celebrities were delighted to perform at the club because they had the opportunity to get to know influential tycoons. There was even competition among them to secure a performance because the number of performers each day was limited.
Tonightâs performer was a famous singer, Lewis Harvey, who soared to stardom following his triumph at a prestigious singing competition.
Paul and the others were on the third floor. Their roomâs floorâtoâceiling window overlooked the stage, offering them a clear view of the entire club hall.
