I Love You More Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson) Chapter 38
I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 38
The first thing Nydia did when she got back to Creekheim was go to Josephine to settle the score. There was no way she was going to let herself suffer any loss in front of anyone but Cade.
Josephine was making coffee at the time. Seeing Nydia push her way in aggressively, Josephineâs eyes swept a few unnoticeable glances toward the cubicle.
âMs. Brooks, youâre so giddy. You spend your days either making coffee or seducing other. peopleâs husbands.â Nydia sneered and walked over to grab the coffee in Josephineâs hand as soon as she could. After taking a sip, she frowned and threw the coffee cup back into Josephineâs hand. âUnlike me, who works hard and canât get anything, and is still being fooled around by you.â
Josephineâs face went pale for a moment. If Cade hadnât been there, sheâd have been about to go up and slap Nydia.
She remained calm and smiled blandly. âNydia, I donât know what you mean.â
âOh, really? I donât know what you mean either, so I came to ask specifically.â Nydia stepped closer to Josephine, her eyes penetrating. âHow much did you pay them to make them bold enough to put their hands on me? And what did you say to them that convinced them that I wasnât treated well by Jackson Group and wasnât cared for by Cade, and made them think they can do anything they want to me?â
At the moment, there were only two of them in the office. Nydia thought that she had put it bluntly enough that Josephine wouldnât pretend anymore, but she didnât expect Josephine to be unusually calm this time.
âAre you so angry because they said Cade doesnât care about you?â Josephine asked in a tone. that sounded particularly innocent and sincere.
She didnât answer Nydiaâs question properly and Nydia sneered. âWhich do you me off more, this or the failed merger?â

Nydia had taken the bait and Josephineâs eyes crossed a flash of triumph. She succeeded, but her face showed an injured look. âSo you donât have any feelings for Cade?â
Nydia was annoyed. She came there to talk about business, but Josephine kept talking about personal matters. Nydia thought to herself, âSince youâre addicted to pretend today, how can I not cooperate?â
âIn terms of feelings for him, how dare I compare to you?â Nydia raised her eyebrows. âYou can be a shameless mistress for him for a lifetime. How many normal women can compare you with this?â

Josephine barely held back her anger. She continued to ask, âYou donât have any feelings för Cade? Did you marry him purely for money? Cade will be sad if he finds out.â
âWhat do you think? If I didnât marry him for money, why should I marry him?â Nydia answered dryly and rightfully, without hesitation.
In the end, she added briskly, âWhen he goes broke one day, Iâll leave him immediately and. find another rich man.â
Now Josephineâs expression on her face finally changed visibly.
Because the door of the cubicle opened silently, Josephineâs pale face immediately changed its expression. As if she had been greatly hurt, she glared at Nydia with tears in her eyes. She even shed a few tears.
What a drama queen!â Nydia thought disdainfully inwardly. After that, she said, âWhatâs the use of you just crying? Itâs not like Iâm going to feel sorry for you. How about you stage another suicide like last time? Maybe Iâll go softâhearted.â
âCade,â Josephine suddenly called out in a trembling voice toward Nydiaâs back.
A cold breath hit Nydia and the smile on her face froze. Her heart fluttered for no apparent reason. This is so annoying. I fell for Josephineâs trick again.
But she quickly mocked herself in her heart, âWhy should I panic? How did this bitch couple tease me before? These few verbal attacks of mine are nothing compared to the hurt theyâve done to me.â
Nydia turned around to see Cade standing not far from her with a cold face. There was only a cold look in his dark eyes.
Nydia was slightly shocked, but she still forced herself to be calm and fixed her gaze on Cade.
Cade was followed by a man in his fifties. This man was none other than Josephineâs father, Terry Brooks, but Nydia had never seen him and did not know him.
Terry had made it a point to visit Cade today, and Josephine had arranged them in the large reception room in the cubicle.
What Nydia had said just now was heard clearly by them inside. The petulance in her words and her disdain for Cade staggered even Terry.
However, he thought to himself, âThis stupid woman just happened to help my daughter. Cade should even want to kill her now, right?â
Terryâs thoughts were indeed correct. Cade really had the thought of strangling Nydia at the moment. Only by strangling her could he be spared from her sharpâtongued mouth that

made him feel angry anytime and anywhere he couldnât control himself.
Everyone had their own thoughts and the office was dead silent.

âMr. Jackson, youâve been a busy man. Nydia broke the silence with a smile, tucking her hair around her cars and gracefully turning toward Terry. âHi, may I know your name?â
She was wearing a tight, kneeâlength, pale pinkish greyâcolored tweed dress today, her pretty figure was perfectly outlined, and her graceful movement made her look a different kind of style.
Watching her show off her charm in front of Terry, and then thinking of her earlier remarks, Cadeâs anger surged in his heart.
âYouâre really not picky and choosy.â Cade snorted coldly. âUnfortunately, he doesnât like a dirty woman like you.â
Nydiaâs smile froze again.
Josephine was happy secretly, not at all embarrassed that her father was being used by Cade to humiliate Nydia.
Terry was staggered again.
Watching Nydiaâs face gradually turn pale, Cadeâs anger finally disappeared a little bit. âGet the hell out of here!â he ordered in a cold voice.
Nydia pinched the palms of her hands to calm herself, her teeth clenching. After a while, she released them. Lifting her chin and showing a heartless grin, she said to Cade, âDonât insult yourself like that. You think Iâm dirty but you sleep with me. Youâre the one who isnât picky and choosy.
Josephine now couldnât laugh anymore.
Terry frowned and asked inwardly, âDidnât Josephine say that Cade never went back to the house where Nydia was? How are they still sleeping together? Thatâs a bad news.ââ
Cadeâs face suddenly darkened, and the veins on his forehead bulged.
Nydia tossed her long hair happily. She turned around gracefully and walked out slowly and methodically.
Just two days without being at the office, there were a lot of things that needed to be handled. Nydia was too busy to even have time to drink water.
It wasnât until nightfall that she dragged her tired body back to Silent Court.

Nydia saw the lights on in the living room before she even entered. Her heart beat violently faster. Without thinking about it, she immediately pushed her way in.
âHi, Nydia.â Orson was sitting on the couch with his hand on his cane. He looked at her with a smile on his face.
Nydia breathed a sigh of relief while feeling a few seconds of disappointment inexplicably. âHi, Mr. Jackson. What brings you here?â
Nydia took off her coat and hung it on the coat rack, bending down to change her slippers.
âI heard you were on a business trip to Mewarting City. I guess youâre tired, so I had Dara make soup for you.â Orson asked with a smile, âHow did it go?â
Nydia hesitated but decided not to tell him the truth. This was all so breathless. If Orson found out about it, heâd be sure to scold Cade. While that was something sheâd be happy to ng sheâd be happy to see, it was bound that Cade would vent his anger on her if he wasnât happy.
âIt was signed by someone else.â She said lightly, âWe werenât as prepared as the others.â
Orson didnât have much reaction. He felt that it was just a small project, and there was no need to be upset if it was gone. He thought it would be good as long as Nydia could learn from the failure and wouldnât make it again next time.
But he was more curious about who it was that dared to steal business from Jackson Group. âDo you know who signed with them?â
âWarren Group from Mewarting City.â Nydia said, âI heard itâs the richest group in Mewarting City, and I guess itâs very powerful.â
Orsonâs eyes narrowed and his grip on his cane tightened. âSo itâs them.
