I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 45
Nydia sat on the chair across from Justin. As soon as his hands were freed, Justin pulled off the hood on his head brutally.
Seeing the light abruptly, he uncomfortably closed his eyes for a few seconds. When he opened them again and saw Nydia across from him, he instantly froze, his face turning. pale.
âNydiaâ¦â His lips trembled uncontrollably, showing the intense struggle inside.
Nydia gave him a cold look and asked the question that had been bothering her for two days and one night, âWhy?â
Justin didnât answer her right away. Instead, he started bawling his eyes out.
He was crying so pitifully that Nydia felt a little sorry, but she reminded herself not to be softâhearted. If she were to be softâhearted now, that would truly harm him.
âWhat are you going to do with this money?â she asked directly.
Justin gradually stopped crying and then spilled all the details of what had happened.
He did take that money and installed stealing equipment in the computer. But it was quickly discovered by the accountant. When she asked him about it, he casually made up an excuse. Surprisingly, not only did the accountant believe him, but she also quickly transferred the money to his account.
Before the matter got exposed, he regretted it and wanted to return the money. But the accountant said returning the money would raise suspicions, and she would lose her job. She told him to run away with the money and even said she had people helping him in Mewarting City and abroad.
Justin said he believed in it wholeheartedly, but Nydia was not a fool.
âEven though Justin was honest, that doesnât mean heâs stupid. With all those loopholes. in the accountantâs words, how could he not be suspicious? And why should the accountant in the Jackson Group help him?â she thought.
âYou are going to explain to Jackson Group with this excuse?â Nydiaâs chest was heaving in anger. âYou still wonât tell me the truth?â
Knowing that he couldnât fool Nydia with his lame excuses, Justin decided just to come clean and let out all the frustration and anger that had been building up inside him for

years. âThatâs right. I just want the money! We have been busting our asses for Jackson Group over these years, never once living for ourselves. Jed and Robin were the most hardâworking, but look at where they ended up, huh?
âCade just kicked them both out with a little game! Does he ever think about Robin having a paralyzed daughter? Are people from his family really better than us? Why? So what if I take 40 million dollars? The Jackson Group stole far more than 40 million dollars from the Sharp Group.â
Nydia looked at Justinâs red eyes, her vision getting blurry. She raised her hand to wipe it away, but the tears quickly covered it again.
âAnd you, youâre the princess of the Sharp family, and how are you treated at the Jackson family? Has Cade ever looked at you straight? Did he consider your feelings when he brought his mistress to the company?â added Justin.
Nydia bit her lip so hard but still couldnât case the dull pain in her heart. Sweat beads trickled down her forehead, her face as pale as a ghost.
Justin stared at her, and the hatred in his eyes slowly turned to pity and sarcasm.
He sat on the ground dejectedly. âJust take me back to Cade. Thatâs it.â
Sirens blared outside the door.
Justin bowed to Nydia solemnly. When he lifted his head, he smiled. âNydia, take a different path. You are still young, and we all hope you can live your own life.â
Nydia was crying uncontrollably.
Someone knocked on the door at this time.
âNydia, sorry about this. It wonât be long. With that, Justin quickly shattered a bottle on the ground and took a few steps behind Nydia, pressing the shard against her neck.
âNydia, donât cry.â He carefully moved the shard a little further away from her skin.
Nydia raised her hands and kept wiping her eyes, but tears flowed like a broken dam. No matter how hard she tried, she couldnât stop them.
The
cops kicked down the door.
The cold sea breeze mixed with the familiar scent of sandalwood hit Nydia in the face.
âNydia!â The manâs cold voice rang out.

He pushed through the crowd and appeared in front of her.
Nydiaâs tears were even more rampant.
âLet her go!â Cade said, his eyes dark and his words dripping with a chilling and bloody breath.
Justin suddenly started laughing, then he leaned down and whispered in Nydiaâs ear, âNydia, youâ¦
A loud bang interrupted what he was about to say.
Justin let out a loud scream, lost his balance, and took a step back; then Stuartâs fist landed heavily on his face, making Justin fall to the ground and completely out of combat.
The warm, sticky blood sprayed Nydia in the face with a strong smell of blood.
Her eyes suddenly widened, and she turned to see Justin, but her body was strangled by a strong force.
Without hesitating, Nydia raised her hand and slapped that face with all her might.
She let out all her strength with that hit, which made Cadeâs mouth start bleeding.
Cade looked at her in shock, feeling super pissed off, but he still didnât let go of her.
Justinâs hand bones were shattered, blood gushing out like crazy, and he was beaten to the point of almost losing consciousness.
Nydia was crying nonstop, gasping for breath, and clutching Cadeâs collar, pleading, âDonât hit him anymore. Itâs enough, itâs enough. Let the police handle it.â
Cade got fed up with her tears and waved his hand at Stuart. Stuart knew what he meant and handed Justin over to the police.
As soon as Justin was dragged out, Nydia blacked out.

When she woke up, she found herself at Mewarting Hospital. Everything was so unfamiliar, with all this blinding white everywhere.
Nydia frowned.
âYou arenât dead?â Cadeâs voice came from beside.

Nydia didnât even want to take an extra look at him, shouting, âGet out.â
Cade impatiently straightened her body, forcing her to face him. âYouâve already hit me. That should be enough.â
Nydia finally noticed his slightly swollen left check.
It was evident how hard she must have hit him. But she didnât feel satisfied at all. She even wanted to make his right cheek swollen as well.
âWhat are you here for?â Nydia asked him with an annoyed tone.
Cade gave her a displeased look, replying, âIâm worried you guys will take my money and run, so I came here to catch you, but at least you are somewhat decent.â
Nydia was left speechless, thinking she shouldnât have expected any nice words from Cade.
She knew she couldnât figure out how they would deal with Justin from Cade, so she decided to give Troy a voice call. But she couldnât find her phone after rummaging through her bag for a while. âWhereâs my phone?â she asked.
Upon hearing this, Cade casually said, âI destroyed it.â
âExcuse me?â exclaimed Nydia.
âI canât even get through to you; whatâs the point of keeping that piece of junk?â Cade said confidently.
Nydiaâs eyebrows twitched in anger as she said, âYou called me? If it didnât go through, itâs probably just out of battery. Why did you have to smash it?â
Cadeâs eyes turned cold upon hearing this. âItâs just a damn phone; youâve wasted my time for hours; not even a few phone companies can afford to compensate for this.â
âDid I ask you to come?â retorted Nydia.
âWho else would come if not me?â replied Cade.
âTalking more to this piece of crap is just disrespecting life,â said Nydia inwardly.
Fortunately, Cade didnât plan on staying long.
He threw a brandânew phone at her. âThe plane leaves at noon. Hurry back to work. Iâll deduct half a yearâs salary/if you dare to fake an illness.â
