I Love You More, Cade by Coral Hume ( Nydia and Jackson)
Chapter 91
Because of Nydiaâs seat and what she had just experienced in the garage not long ago, she could almost immediately be sure that this voice came from the collision.
Bad memories flooded her mind, and her heart inexplicably beat faster.
Veronica bargained over the phone with her agent for a few pieces of meat, oblivious to the change In Nydia.
Nydia took a few sips of water to calm herself down and looked out of the window.
In the quiet street, the dim lights shone on the treetops, casting mottled spots of light.
A man covered in blood covered his stomach with both hands. His back was bent as he staggered forward. Blood splattered all the way.
As he ran, he looked behind him. When he passed by the light, Nydia was shocked.
That person was the man who had crashed her car while drunk in the garage.
âWhy is he here?â Nydia wondered.
He seemed to be seriously injured.
Suddenly, the man sped up. Nydia saw something slip out of his hand and droop to the ground as he dragged it forward.
Nydia immediately felt disgusted and almost vomited.
It was human intestines.
She quickly took out her phone and was about to call the police when she saw a silverâgray van speeding over. It braked and stopped beside the man. Then, a few people in black quickly got off and dragged the man into the car.
Realizing what was happening, Nydia could not care about anything else. She stood up and shouted out of the window, âStop!â
Veronica was so frightened that her phone almost fell onto her plate. She hurriedly asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
The men in black did not care about her at all. After stuffing that man in, they quickly got into the
car.
Nydia could not see their license plate number.
In a moment of desperation, she pulled out a chair. Then, she rushed outside the door and told Veronica, âCall the police!â

Chapter 91
There were many people in the restaurant. When Nydia finally reached the door, she bumped into
someone.
âNydia, what are you doing here? Edda was pleasantly surprised. When she saw Nydiaâs panicked expression, she asked with concern, âWhatâs wrong? What happened?â
âSomeone died in the back street,â Nydia said and ran to the back. Edda quickly followed behind. her. âNydia, Iâll go with you.â
When the two of them arrived, there was not even a trace of them.
There were only blood stains left, which could prove that a tragic murder had happened there.
Nydia thought of the scene of the man dragging his intestines. She squatted on the ground and retched.
Edda rushed over while panting. Seeing this, she quickly bent down and patted Nydiaâs back. âNydia, are you alright?â
âLâ¦â Nydia vomited before she could finish her words.
This time, Nydia vomited out everything she had eaten.
Edda waited patiently by her side. When she finished vomiting, she immediately took out water and a wet tissue for her and asked gently, âAre you feeling better?â
Nydia finished rinsing her mouth and wiped it. She turned around and apologized, âIâm sorry.â
Edda helped her stand up and smiled. âItâs fine. This is a normal reaction from a personâs body after being stimulated. Donât feel embarrassed.â
Her answer was professional and full of professionalism, but Nydia was not comforted. Instead, she felt strange. However, she still said, âThank you.â
The police arrived very quickly. They wanted to bring Nydia back to the police station to make a statement. Veronica accompanied her. Edda also insisted on going. Nydia couldnât refuse, so she agreed.
During the statement, Nydia gave the police the manâs identity information, but the police told her that the name did not exist and that the address was fake.
That place had been demolished half a year ago. Now, it was flat land. There were no residents,
Nydia instantly felt cold from head to toe.
Everything about getting drunk and quarreling with his wife to vent his anger and how his child was seriously ill were all lies. His real goal was to kill her.
And she had only managed to escape because she was lucky.

Chapter 91
On the way back, Nydia remained silent. She counted the people she might offend and eliminated them one by one.
Maren and Lacieâs entanglement with her was mainly because she had married into the Jackson family and had become Cadeâs wife.
Now that she was divorced and had left the Jackson family, not only would they not find trouble with her, but they would also stay far away. They wouldnât want to have anything to do with her.
The rest were the Brooks family.
This reason was the most valid.
âThe Brooks family wants me to die to avenge Josephine, but they could not do so. I came out in a day. They held a grudge and wanted to get rid of me. That man didnât complete the mission, so they sent someone to silence him. Is that right? If that is the case, there will be a second time. My life was in danger at any time, Nydia thought as she clenched her fists. She had to move away from there as soon as possible. She could not implicate Veronica. She had to think of a way not to be constantly threatened.
Veronica saw that Nydia looked very pale and had a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. She asked worriedly, âAre you alright?â
Nydia did not want Veronica to be involved in these dangerous matters. Hence, she forced a smile. âIâm fine. Iâm just a little tired.â
Edda, who was driving in front, glanced at Nydia in the rearview mirror when she heard that. She asked, âDo you want to go to the hospital?â
âNo, thank you,â Nydia said politely.
âCan you not stand on ceremony with me in the future?â Edda held the steering wheel and smiled. âI thought we were already friends.â
Nydia was slightly stunned. She did not know if Edda was being polite or meant it, but she smiled. faintly and said, âYouâve helped me so much. I havenât thanked you properly yet. I might have disrupted your dinner tonight. Iâm quite sorry. When youâre free, Iâll treat you to a meal.â
âAlright, Nydia, you can cook for me after I finish my work. I havenât tasted your cooking yet.â Edda said.
âIâm not very good at cooking.â Nydia said softly.
When the red light lit up, Edda stepped on the brakes. Her smile did not diminish. âItâs fine. Iâll do it when the time comes. Nydia, you only need to contribute your pots and kitchen utensils,â Edda said. with a smile.
Since she was so enthusiastic, Nydia could only say, âSure.â
âBy the way, Nydia, I heard you divorced Mr. Jackson. Is that true?â Edda looked at the rearview

mirror and asked.
Nydia and Veronica were stunned.
Edda hurriedly said, âI went to Jackson Mansion with my grandfather to visit Mr. Orson today. I found out from him. I didnât offend you, right?â
âNo, we are indeed divorced,â Nydia said calmly.
Edda sighed regretfully. âI can only say that you and Mr. Jackson are not meant for each other. If you meet the wrong person at the wrong time, the outcome wonât be satisfactory even if you two. are forcefully tied together. You might as well cut the Gordian knot as soon as possible and stop the unnecessary consumption due to internal disputes to free yourself.â
When she said that, her tone was sincere. It was as if she was analyzing this matter rationally. However, Veronica felt uncomfortable when she heard that. She wanted to retort but was stopped by Nydia.
âYouâre right,â Nydia replied with a smile, but her smile did not look sincere.
Regardless of whether Eddaâs words were sincere or fake, the truth was as she said.
The green light lit up, and Edda started the car again.
âStop at the crossroad ahead. We still have something to do,â Veronica said stiffly.
âOkay. Edda nodded.
