Cen Mo stood up and looked towards the door, looking like he had something to say but yet hadn’t thought of how to say it.

“You’re back!” Song Yao stuck her head out of the kitchen. “Nuan Nuan, come quick! The bird’s nest your older brother had made for you and Tuan Tuan is ready. Pregnant women need to eat more of this, as it’s good for the baby. When your baby is born, your baby will have fair and tender skin. It’s also good for kids’ health!”

Song Yao naturally said the words “your older brother.” Cen Mo casually stuck his hands into his pockets, clenching his fists. He was worried that Lin Nuan would refuse the porridge and, by doing that, refuse to acknowledge him as her older brother.

Lin Nuan removed the tweed cap from Tuan Tuan’s head and stroked his head. Watching Fu Huai’an lower the kid, she said, “Is there anything else to eat? My appetite seems especially good lately!”

“Saihand! Get the kitchen to prepare something!”

Right after Lin Nuan spoke, Cen Mo called out to Saihand. Although his voice was stern, his expression when looking at Lin Nuan wasn’t. His nervous gaze flickered, looking so panicky that even Saihand couldn’t bear to watch on anymore.

“It’s like that when you’re pregnant!” Song Yao pulled Lin Nuan and Tuan Tuan towards the dining room. “Once, when I was soundly asleep, I was jolted awake because of hunger, do you believe it? That was when I just discovered I was pregnant! At that time, I could eat especially well and had a great urge to eat. I would sneak to the kitchen in the middle of the night to look for food, and your brother would think I had run away. He would shout for Saihand, wanting to run out the door to capture me back before even changing out of his pajamas!”

Cen Mo remained standing with both hands in his pockets, gazing at Fu Huai’an, who had a hint of a smile on his face. It felt so weird that Fu Huai’an had suddenly become his brother-in-law.

“Let’s all have some together!” Cen Mo said.

Fu Huai’an nodded, looking as deep and mature as always. “Okay!”

Cen Mo and Fu Huai’an walked to the entrance of the dining room. They saw Tuan Tuan standing on a chair and obediently pushing his little bowl to Lin Nuan, saying earnestly, “Mama, eat!”

Tuan Tuan had heard Song Yao say that it was good for the baby, so he wanted Lin Nuan to have more of it…

“Aiyoh… our Tuan Tuan is really sensible!” Looking at Tuan Tuan, Song Yao’s heart nearly melted. “Is Tuan Tuan giving your share to Mama because you know it’s good for the baby?”

Tuan Tuan nodded vigorously. “Mama, hungry!”

“Where can we find a kid as cute and sensible as our Tuan Tuan?” Song Yao was growing increasingly fond of Tuan Tuan. She reached out to stroke Tuan Tuan’s little head. “Tuan Tuan, eat up! Uncle’s house doesn’t have anything else, but we have plenty of bird’s nest! If Mama wants more, we can just ask the kitchen to cook some more!”

Tuan Tuan looked overjoyed to hear this. Sitting close to Lin Nuan, he hugged his little bowl as he shoved a mouthful of sweet bird’s nest into his mouth, shaking his head from side to side happily.

Cen Mo hesitated at the entrance of the dining room, not entering. When Fu Huai’an started moving, he reached out to grab Fu Huai’an’s arm. “I have something to discuss with you!”

Cen Mo cared as much about Lin Nuan’s baby as he did Song Yao’s baby!

Fu Huai’an gazed at Cen Mo with a hint of a smile. “Why don’t you discuss it with Xiao Nuan yourself? No idea how to bring it up?”
