Chapter 1049 - I Want to Cuddle With You!

After cleaning her bedroom, Bai Xiaonian grabbed her pillow and blanket and said to Lu Jinnan, “Take a shower and rest early after taking the medication. You’ll sleep in the room, and I’ll sleep on the couch. The bed sheets and blankets have just been changed. If you’re still not satisfied, you can just stay in a hotel—I won’t say a word!”

Lu Jinnan wanted to play the sympathy card, but after he went to the hospital for a checkup and they received the test results, Bai Xiaonian found out that he only suffered minor injuries. If he still played the sympathy card, she wouldn’t believe him, so he could only shelve his original plans.

“Okay!” Lu Jinnan knew that arguing with Bai Xiaonian wouldn’t get him anywhere.

Given the severity of his injuries, he could either do as he was told and sleep in the room or get chased out. After some thinking, he decided it would be best if he could stay with Bai Xiaonian.

At the end of the day, having their relationship develop slowly wasn’t so bad, but… Lu Jinnan couldn’t bear to let Bai Xiaonian sleep on the couch. After some thinking, he said, “We could stay in the apartment next door.”

Bai Xiaonian had placed her blanket and pillow on the couch. She was about to rebut against Lu Jinnan when her face fell. She looked as if she’d suddenly realized something. “Did you buy the apartment next door, or did you rent it?”

Lu Jinnan’s ears were slightly red. He frowned and pretended to be indifferent as he nodded. “I bought it…”

Bai Xiaonian raised an eyebrow. “When did you do that?”

Lu Jinnan didn’t plan on lying, but his ears couldn’t help but turn red. “The day after you moved in.”

Bai Xiaonian was rendered speechless.

Seeing that Bai Xiaonian’s eyes narrowed and she seemed to be furious, Lu Jinnan added, “It’s a 3-room apartment, and a cleaning auntie goes in to clean up the place every day. Do you want to move over there?”

“Hello, neighbor! Goodbye, neighbor! You can go back by yourself! I won’t see you out…” Bai Xiaonian smiled.

It seemed like she was mad.

“My wounds still hurt a lot. Since you’ve decided to bring me here and take care of me, why don’t we move next door? It’s more comfortable and…” Lu Jinnan’s eyes scanned Bai Xiaonian’s living room. “It’s cleaner.”

Three minutes later, Lu Jinnan was chased out of Bai Xiaonian’s messy apartment. He stood outside the door to his own clean apartment, unable to go in.

The key… was still at the hotel. No matter how clean his apartment was, he couldn’t step inside!

Lu Jinnan looked at the closed door to Bai Xiaonian’s apartment, the sound of Bai Xiaonian slamming the door still reverberating in his ears.

Lu Jinnan wanted to call his assistant to bring the key over, but he realized that his phone was still in Bai Xiaonian’s apartment. He walked to her door and raised his hand… It opened before he could even knock.

Lu Jinnan wanted to smile at Bai Xiaonian after seeing that she was holding his jacket and carrying his things. He didn’t think that she would forcefully thrust them into his chest…

Lu Jinnan took two steps back and clutched at his chest as he hissed in pain.

Bai Xiaonian froze. She held the door frame and asked, “Are you okay?”

“It hurts…” Lu Jinnan clutched at his chest. He seemed to be in so much pain that he couldn’t stand upright.

At first, Bai Xiaonian thought Lu Jinnan was lying. But once he walked in, she saw beads of perspiration on his forehead. She bit her lip as she walked out the door to support him. “How can someone so tall and strong be so… weak?”

“Where’s the key? I’ll help you in…” Although she was worried about Lu Jinnan, Bai Xiaonian was still very stubborn.

“It’s at the hotel…” Lu Jinnan answered her honestly.

“And you still have the cheek to tell me to stay with you next door!” Bai Xiaonian complained while helping Lu Jinnan into her apartment.

Lu Jinnan only dared to reply once they were inside her apartment. “I was hoping you’d climb over your balcony to the apartment and open the door from inside…”

Bai Xiaonian was rendered speechless.

“Dude, this is the 12th floor! You want me to climb over my balcony?” Bai Xiaonian chuckled and casually threw a clean towel at Lu Jinnan’s face. “Use the clean towel to wash up! I’ll help you apply ointment when you’re done. Don’t stay up too late after that!”

Bai Xiaonian was already unbearably exhausted. No one would be able to handle it after staying awake for two days and two nights…

So, when Lu Jinnan took the towel and went to the bathroom to shower, Bai Xiaonian fell asleep on the couch, unable to hold out any longer.

When Lu Jinnan dried his hair and stepped out of the steamy bathroom, he saw Bai Xiaonian fast asleep on the couch with the ointment in her hand.

Lu Jinnan put down the towel. His eyes were full of concern as he looked at Bai Xiaonian through his damp, dark hair.

From the moment he was captured until now… she must have been worried sick!

Lu Jinnan walked over to Bai Xiaonian and carefully moved away the ointment gripped tightly in her hand before unfolding the blanket and putting it over her. He then gently caressed her long hair.

Lu Jinnan originally wanted to look at Bai Xiaonian up close like this, but for some reason… deep down, he wanted to sleep soundly with her in his arms.

With this thought in mind, Lu Jinnan pulled the blanket off of Bai Xiaonian and picked her up. He then carefully walked to the bedroom and laid her down on the soft, large bed.

Bai Xiaonian was too tired. She vaguely felt someone moving her, but she just couldn’t open her eyes.

Bai Xiaonian’s freshly changed bed sheets and blankets smelled especially nice. It had her scent as well as the smell of softener.

Lu Jinnan placed the blanket over Bai Xiaonian before lying down beside her. He watched her thick eyelashes flutter slightly and whispered into her ear, “Go to sleep… I’m here!”

Lu Jinnan’s words seemed to comfort Bai Xiaonian as her eyelashes gradually stopped fluttering. He smiled and kissed her on the cheek before hugging her and drifting off to sleep.

Take a long break…

Lu Jinnan couldn’t help but persuade himself like this to never let go of the woman who belonged to him for the rest of his life!

Underneath the blankets, Lu Jinnan opened up Bai Xiaonian’s palms and laced his fingers through hers. He wanted to sleep peacefully for a while, but Bai Xiaonian’s scent filled his nostrils.

Lu Jinnan was a normal guy. It was hard for him not to have a reaction, especially since the woman he loved was in his arms.

He held himself back as he wanted Bai Xiaonian to have a good rest. However, he couldn’t help but bury his face into her neck and press his searing lips to her shoulder. Her curvy neck and shoulders… they felt so smooth that it killed Lu Jinnan. He couldn’t help but suck the skin on her neck as he began to breathe heavily.

Bai Xiaonian was exhausted, but her body’s reaction was unmistakable. She let out a soft whine. “Stop it…”

This caused Lu Jinnan to snap. He held himself up so his body wouldn’t press against Bai Xiaonian’s and kissed her cheeks and lips. His husky voice was filled with restrained desire as he said to Bai Xiaonian, “Xiaonian… I want to cuddle with you! I want to cuddle you without our clothes on and with our bodies pressed together…”
