Chapter 1074 - I’m Gu Qingcheng
Mr Fu, I Really Love You
Putting aside that she was a well-behaved girl in school, she was also beautiful. Her results sat her firmly in first place across the entire level, being far better than the person in second place.
High school was a time when people started to develop feelings of love. There were many of Yun Liuliâs classmates, seniors, and juniors who had wooed her, but Yun Liuli had rejected all of them, becoming an unattainable presence in their high school.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Furthermore, the teachers would often use Yun Liuli as an example when they preached to the others. As time passed by, everyone started to stay away from her. She didnât mind this too much and would always be by herself.
Ever since she was young, Yun Liuli hadnât been good at getting along with others. Most of the time, sheâd be ignorant about things, feeling that she wasnât able to get along with her classmates. So, she decided not to attempt to do so.
Due to this, Yun Liuliâs parents had even taken her to a psychiatrist. The doctor said that Yun Liuli was asocial and more of an introvert, perhaps even being slightly autistic. However, her condition wasnât serious and could be corrected.
Yun Liuliâs parents had gone through a lot of effort over this. When Yun Liuli was still in middle school, seeing that the person who sat next to her was a girl, they had given the girlâs parents some advantages so that the girl would be friends with their daughter.
Back then, the girl sitting next to Yun Liuli thought about how to talk to Yun Liuli every day. There were times that Yun Liuli would only reply with âenâ or nod, but her classmate remained very patient, revealing a beaming smile that was like the sun toward Yun Liuli.
Yun Liuli didnât know how she should react towards the various pieces of gossip that her classmate kept telling her, but sheâd feel annoyed at times. However, this classmate always claimed to be her good friend, and as time passed, Yun Liuli started to be influenced by herâ¦
She felt that even though her classmateâs chattering was a little annoying, she didnât really hate her, so she let her be.
When the monthly test results came out, Yun Liuli saw a slap mark on her classmateâs face on the second day. She only took a second glance, but before she asked anything, her classmate said that her results were bad and that her mom had hit her.
Yun Liuli remained silent for a while, but in the end, she couldnât leave her be and decided to help her. Given Yun Liuliâs intelligence, she never had to take notes during class. However, for the sake of her good friend, Yun Liuli sacrificed her reading time to tidy up notes. She even highlighted the main points for her, explaining the questions that her classmate couldnât understand.
When Yun Liuli started explaining the questions to her, she was very surprised. Working on the principle that her parents told her, which was to let the Yun familyâs daughter speak more, she started to bring Yun Liuli to explain the questions that others didnât know how to solve. This built up quite a good reputation for Yun Liuli.
Yun Liuliâs explanations were easier to understand than the teachersâ teachings. In class, she would always knock on her classmateâs desk to give her a warning when she got lost in thought, thereby bringing her results up to be in the top ten in the level. Yun Liuli had been explaining questions to her classmates, and her notes were also being circulated in the class, so their classâs overall results had improved by quite a lot.
Later on, there was once when Yun Liuli went to the bathroom because her period came. However, she didnât bring along any sanitary napkins. She was about to message her friend to help her buy some when she overheard her friend chatting and laughing together with a few other girls as they entered the bathroom.
âIf my mom and dad hadnât forced me to, do you think Iâd be willing to spend time with that Yun Liuli?â
Yun Liuli could tell from the voice of her âgood friendâ that she had strong disgust for her.
Yun Liuli frowned, her heart feeling like it was twisted together.
âYouâre quite pitiful as well. Your parentsâ jobs are under her dadâs control! For the sake of your parents, youâre forced to get along with Yun Liuliâ¦â
âThat Yun Liuli is too detestable. Just because sheâs beautiful, she puts up such a front. Who is she showing that cool appearance to? She had notes that could help raise the classâs results, yet she hid them for herself. Itâs as if sheâs afraid that someone else will steal her first place position!â
âThatâs true. If Xiao Xia hadnât shared the notes with us, our grades wouldnât have improved by so much!â
Yun Liuli, who was in the stall, furrowed her brows very tightly. Her mind was filled with the line that⦠she was forced to get along with Yun Liuli because of her parents.
That day, Yun Liuli didnât even return back to class. She applied for leave and went straight home.
She continued to be in a daze for a long time. She only went back to school as usual after two days of rest.
However, Yun Liuli no longer gave any reply to her classmateâs questions.
From that day onward, Yun Liuli completely shut herself away in her own little world. It was as if all words or events in the outside world were irrelevant to her.
Yun Liuli remembered that during physical education class that day, strong winds started to blow suddenly, and after some thunder, big rain droplets started to fall, instantly drenching everyone. Even the air was filled with the smell of soil.
Some more finicky girls screamed and hid under trees, tidying up their hair and clothes, complaining about the weather.
The physical education teacher got all the students to hide from the rain under the roof of the equipment building. Yun Liuli stood by herself in a corner, wearing an indifferent expression as she wiped her glasses, which had blurred from the rainwater, with tissue paper. All the girls seemed to be intentionally keeping their distance from Yun Liuli, and this made her stand out a lot.
The group of girls behind Yun Liuli started to discuss Yun Liuliâs strange character in soft voices. Some people were jealous of Yun Liuliâs beauty and added a few remarks in louder voices. Yun Liuli turned a deaf ear to them.
The boys used their uniforms to shield against the rain, running back to the classroom to bring umbrellas over. The girls shared the umbrellas in pairs and, eventually, in groups of three, smiling and chatting happily as they headed back to the classroom. Yun Liuli was the only one left standing there.
She looked at the falling raindrops in a daze, not even noticing that a large area on the bottom of her trousers was wet.
It was raining, but the temperature continued to be very high. The steaming hot air and humidity kept striking out toward her.
Yun Liuliâs phone, which had been set on vibrate, started to vibrate in her pocket. This brought her back to her senses. Her parents were the only ones who knew her phone number, and they were also the ones who forced her to keep the phone with her. Other than urgent contacts from her parents, the phone was basically useless.
She took out her phone and saw that it was an unfamiliar number.
The rainwater splashed onto the screen, and Yun Liuli slowly wiped it off with the tissue paper she hadnât thrown away after using it to dry her hair. Only after doing that did she put her phone by her hear, not saying a word.
The phone was placed next to Yun Liuliâs fair and beautiful ear, and when that deep and alluring voice rang out from the phone, it had a hint of coldness to it. It sounded so nice that it made her heart throbâ¦
âIâm Gu Qingcheng. Your father told me to come and fetch you.â
Loud sounds from the rain rang out next to Yun Liuliâs ears, but it didnât drown away that extremely penetrative voice.
Yun Liuliâs father had told her last night that both her mom and he had things to attend to and thus got a good friend to help take care of her. He was called Gu Qingcheng, and he would bring her over to his place to stay for the weekend.
