“Dad! Look at this yourself! Lu Jinnan threw Cai Jingyao’s phone into the basin!” Lu Jinbei set the plate down heavily on the countertop and pointed at the phone that had sunken to the bottom of the basin, which had vegetables floating at the surface.

“Did Cai Jingyao tell you that I threw her phone into the basin?” Lu Jinnan asked with a tense face.

Lu Jinbei said in a choked voice, “She didn’t say. But I don’t need her to tell me that! Isn’t it clear for all to see? Who doesn’t know what attitude you have towards women!”

“Lu Jinbei... if I wasn’t considering the fact that you’re younger than me, you would have a broken leg by now!” There was accumulated rage in Lu Jinnan’s eyes. “You’re a grown man, all of 1.85 meters tall, yet your brain is the size of a sesame seed! It’s true that I’m prejudiced against women, but are you truly ignorant, or are you pretending not to see that this Cai Jingyao woman has impure intentions? Cai Jingyao stood helplessly in the living room, her face full of tears as she watched Lu Jinbei come out of the kitchen...

Without another word, Lu Jinbei grabbed Cai Jingyao’s wrist and began walking out.

“Xiao Bei...” Cai Jingyao called out to him in a gentle and frail voice as she was forcibly dragged to the entryway by Lu Jinbei.

“Change your shoes! We’re leaving!” Lu Jinbei said to Cai Jingyao as he changed his shoes.

“Lu Jinbei, if you dare step out of this house today, don’t ever come back!” Lu Jinnan’s father’s chest was heaving violently.

“Uncle!” Cai Jingyao called out to Lu Jinnan’s father, then tugged at Lu Jinbei’s arm. “Stop fooling around, Xiao Bei. Don’t fall out with your family because of me. I’ll leave first today. I’ll come back another day to apologize to Uncle and Brother Jinnan!”

“Fine, I won’t ever come back again! Just take it that I’m no longer your son from now on, and Lu Jinnan doesn’t have me as a younger brother! Take it that I’m no longer part of the Lu family!” Lu Jinbei howled, then dragged Cai Jingyao out of the house before slamming the door loudly and leaving.
