Cai Jingyao remained silent. Lu Jinbei raised a hand, wanting to pull Cai Jingyao into his embrace. He lowered his voice and said, “I know you’re anxious about my family. Can you bear with it for me?”

“Jingyao, you were the one who wooed me in the past! Now I’m going to be the one wooing you... I’m going to get my marriage certificate with you no matter what. Trust me!” Lu Jinbei then pulled Cai Jingyao into the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Clearly, Cai Jingyao was rejecting him, but he brushed it off as Cai Jingyao worrying that their marriage would strain his relationship with Lu Jinnan even more, so she wasn’t willing to marry him.
