James pov

I had made up my mind , confront my demons and in this case a certain vixen was still in my mind. I had tried to keep my distance but that was about to change.

I needed her and nothing else would satisfy and quench the thirst that I had. The fire needed to be put out and there was only one person who could do that ... Linah.

"Be ready by seven pm, I will pick you up."

Message sent.

I kept my phone on the counter and went about to get rid of all the sweat due to my workout.

This had been my way of distraction, it didn't do much but at least my body appreciated all the work .

"Today you fix this James."

Linah's pov.

Oh my God , shit , what do I do! I was panicking and excited and now the overwhelming emotions.

He said to be ready, what do I wear, should I call Mary or tell my mom. Wait what exactly would I tell my mother that am going out with a middle aged man whom I have had a crush on for years and I wanted him in my life and in me...

"What's going on...?"

My thoughts were halted by my mom.

I must have started day dreaming and getting ahead of myself again.

What if all he wanted was to talk or tell me that this whatever it is was not going to work...

"Linah, are you okay? You seem worried, your face just changed."

"I am okay mom."

"Are you going out on a date or something?" She pointed at the dress that was in my hand. It definitely looked like a date night kind of dress. I needed to come up with a swift lie to get away from the prying questions that my mother always has.

Thanks to Mary I felt confident enough to pull this one through.

"Mary and I have a thing."

" Ooh and are boys involved?"

"Mom please hehehe I chuckled innocently. Let me go and besides am eighteen and I can take care of myself. So let me finish getting ready."

" Fine! Fine! Just be careful and you will always be my baby."

She blew me a kiss and left right before saying,"The red dress should be your choice for the night."

To my bestie:

I just lied to my mom using your name when in reality I am going with James. It's just a heads up.

Mary:

I laughed at what Mary texted.

Mary will never change and this is why I loved her. My exciting night was just about to begin and my whole being was wildly alert.
