Chapter 44
The Family of Time Travel Has an Ugly Wife
Coaxing children was not an easy task.
Sweating profusely, Shan Yu put the sleeping little thing into the cradle and collapsed on the bed tiredly.
Wan Qiu glanced at the candles on the table that were about to burn out and whispered, âHusband, itâs getting very late, arenât you going back to sleep?â
Shan Yu had been tired all day, and he was indeed sleepy. He was too lazy to wash up, and he didnât even bother to take off his clothes. He directly grabbed the quilt and said, âTurn off the lights, go to sleep.â
After saying this, he closed his eyes, but the light didnât get turn off at all for so long. He then opened his eyes strangely, âWan Qiu?â
âHusband, this is my room,â Wan Qiu sat by the bed, chasing out someone. âItâs time for you to go back and rest.â
Wan Qiu had been living in the medical clinic for awhile. He was very nervous at first, but then he gradually got used to it.
Shan Yu had a very regular schedule. He got up in the morning, ate breakfast cooked by Wan Qiu, and went to sit in clinic. When he came back at noon, he took a nap with the little bun for an hour to cultivate the relationship between father and son.
During breaks in the clinic, Shan Yu would take Wan Qiu out for a walk and buy him and the child some food and toys. He was very gentle and considerate, and he was so good that people couldnât fault him.
But Wan Qiu always felt there was something missing between him and Shan Yu.
It was like others saw them as a couple, but in fact, the only connection between them was the child.
Lian Zhou never appeared in the meantime. Wan Qiu didnât know whether it was because Shan Yu said something to Lian Zhou, or because Lian Zhou was not interested fighting with him, or because he didnât go out or take any steps to avoid him. In short, Wan Qiu and Lian Zhou were at peace with each other.@@novelbin@@
When it snowed for the first time in early winter, Wan Qiu had already lived in the medical clinic for almost a month.
The environment there was good, the place was large, and the food and clothing were good. It could be said it was the dream of having no worries about food and clothing, but Wan Qiu couldnât be happy.
There was a lock on the courtyard door, locking the square sky above the head.
Wan Qiu sat on the couch in front of the window with his child in his arms, holding a key in his hand. Not long after Shan Yu left, he was already waiting for him to come back.
People truly never be satisfied.
When Shan Yu was eating, drinking, whoring, and gambling, Wan Qiu lived day-to-day with no certainty about tomorrow. Every day he wished that Shan Yu would not come home. At that time, Wan Qiuâs biggest wish was Shan Yu would not hit him and he could have a full meal. Now all his wishes had come true, but he found that he was not as happy as he had imagined.
Wan Qiu didnât know when he started to have emotional expectations for Shan Yu. His whole heart was tied to him, he just wanted him to be his, and he desperately hoped to get his response.
Maybe this was the human heart, there were always so many desires and the status quo could never be satisfied.
Wan Qiu looked at the locked courtyard door outside the window and was lost in thought when he suddenly felt a heat in his chest.
âMama~ Mama~â
The little bun was getting healthier. Shan Yu, an old Chinese doctor, was taking care of him every day, and his little arms and legs were getting stronger and stronger.
He was waving his little hands and drooling, and kept rubbing his little head against Wan Qiuâs chest, wanting to suck milk.
Wan Qiu no longer produced mil, so he could only unbutton his clothes softly and pretending to feed the little bun in his arms.
The little guy ate with a sense of ritual. He slurped his motherâs breasts and slurped his tongue. Although he couldnât eat anything, his little hands were grabbing Wan Qiuâs clothes, and he was very happy.
Wan Qiu kissed the little bun, and just when he thought he was cute, he was bitten by the little guy.
âAh!â Wan Qiu screamed in pain, and hurriedly patted the little bun in his arms, âLet go, son, it hurts.â
The little bun whined, pouting, and lifting his watery eyes. He looked at his mother who was talking to him, but Wan Qiu quickly hugged him away.
The little guyâs two small front teeth were already grown, and they bit very firmly on the flesh.
Wan Qiu took a look at his clothes and saw that the skin was torn again.
âMama~ Mama~â The little bun crawled toward Wan Qiu aggrievedly, pitifully wanting to eat.
Wan Qiu was really scared of being bitten by him and wanted to refuse, but he looked at the little thingâs face that looked exactly like Shan Yuâs and was reluctant to let him go. Just when he was about to let him bite a few more times, someone knocked on the courtyard door from outside.
This wasnât the time when Shan Yu usually came back. Was it Lian Zhou?
Wan Qiu immediately panicked. He put the little bun into the cradle and hurriedly gathered his clothes. He didnât know what to do when he heard a shout from outsideâ¦
âOpen the door! Wan Qiu!â
Was it Shan Yu?
Wan Qiu hurriedly put on his coat, walked through the snow to the courtyard door, and asked through the door panel. After confirming that it was Shan Yu, he took the key and opened the door.
âWhat are you doing?â Shan Yu held a few paper bags and a bottle of wine in his hand. He glanced at the disheveled Wan Qiu and looked into the house.
âCoaxing the kid.â Wan Qiu opened the door to let Shan Yu in, then locked it and followed him back to the house. âWhy are you back so early today?â
âThereâs no one visiting with the snow, so I just took a day off.â Shan Yu shook the food in his hand. âI bought you your favorite barbecue and stinky tofu. Letâs eat together.â
-.
The small red clay stove was warming the light green rice wine.
Shan Yu bent his knees and leaned in front of the low window, supporting his chin with one hand and holding a glass of wine in the other. He looked drunk, but the wine in the glass was swaying along the rim of the glass, without a drop spilling out.
âWhy are you looking at me like that?â Shan Yu asked, his voice lazily smelling of wine, as if he was really drunk.
Wan Qiu blushed and curled his fingers slightly while holding the string.
He had seen Shan Yu too many times when he was drunk. He was irritable and forced Wan Qiu to do that kind of thing. Without exception, he was extremely scared.
But it had never been like thisâ¦
Wan Qiu looked at Shan Yu, holding a glass of wine with his eyes half-closed, lazy and comfortable, like a docile and inaccessible lion, noble and distant.
This feeling was really wonderful. Wan Qiu felt like there was a deer pounding in his heart, and he asked, âHusband, whyâ¦are you looking at me?â
âHow do you know Iâm looking at you if you donât look at me?â
âIâ¦â
âCome here.â
âHusbandâ¦â
âCome here.â Shan Yu waved to Wan Qiu and said in a daze, âBe good.â
Wan Qiu pursed his lips and walked over. Without even having a chance to sit down, he was hugged by Shan Yu.
âAh!â
Wan Qiu was startled, and when he reacted, he was already sat in Shan Yuâs arms, and his hands were subconsciously placed on his shoulders.
Shan Yu lowered his eyes and said, âI finally made you fat again.â After saying that, he untied Wan Qiuâs clothes and touched his skin with his fingers.
He was someone who could get drunk even after drinking a glass of beer. He had a surprisingly poor alcohol tolerance, but he had a good tolerance in wine. His drunkenness was hazy and warm, making it impossible to judge whether he was drunk or not.
Wan Qiuâs chest had been bitten by the little bun and was now being rubbed by Shan Yuâs fingers, making him whimper in pain.
Shan Yu was surprised: âI didnât use any force.â He lifted up Wan Qiuâs clothes, took a look, and said with a smile, âWere you bitten by the child again?â
Before Wan Qiu could nod, he was bitten by the little bunâs father, the big bun.
