Chapter 117
The Millionaire And His Billionaire Ex-Wife
Chapter 117
Grace remained silent for a while before continuing with her instructions: âYou keep an eye on him.
Also, Bernard, stay here and guard the villa. Donât let him leave for the next few days. Clean the house thoroughly and do what is expected of him.â
âUnderstood,â Bernard replied.
Bernard opened the door and got out of the car, watching as the two vehicles drove towards Patricâs
villa.
The next morning, Patric spotted her in the dining room, eating breakfast prepared by Auntie Rosa; he had just learned of her return to the villa.
He had intended to go over and tease her a little, but he suddenly noticed something strange. She was using her left hand to hold the spoon while her right hand naturally hung by her side without resting on the table.
Patric walked around and sat on the chair next to her before noticing the bandage wrapped around her right hand.
âGirl, what happened to your hand?â Patric asked with concern.
Grace casually continued drinking her porridge and replied, âNothing much; a dog bit me.â
Patric felt distressed: âWhich daring dog dares to bite my precious little sister? Iâll take care of it for you:
Third Brother will teach it a lesson!â
âItâs just a useless big wolf dog. I will deal with it myself.â
Patric wanted to ask further, but Grace had already put down the spoon and finished her breakfast.
âThird Brother, Iâm going to the Fallen residence first, and in the afternoon, Iâll be going to Angle. I wonât disturb your meal.â
âAlright, take care and stay safe.â
After Grace left, Patric called Bart into the room.
He sat on the chair, his face cold and stern, and scanned Bart. âWhatâs the truth behind Missâs hand injury?â
Bart lowered his head, trembling as he said, âItâs exactly as Miss said⦠she was bitten by⦠a dog.â
âBart, you know the consequences of deceiving me. She was living fine at the Bay Villa, so where did this dog come from? It must be that dog. Edgar!â Patric exclaimed in anger.
âIf you already guessed it, why askâ¦.â Bart felt wronged by being scolded.
It was originally just a guess, but now that it was confirmed, Patric was furious. âThat scoundrel! Last time, I let him go unpunished as a favor to my brother, but now he dares to harm my sister. Iâll make him pay with his life!â
He took out his phone to make a call, but Bart quickly intervened.
âYoung Master, please donât be impulsive. Miss always has her own plans, and keeping Edgar around must be part of her strategy. Itâs best not to disrupt her plans.â
Patric narrowed his eyes and pondered for a moment. âHis life can be spared for now, but he must suffer greatly for hurting the girl!â
As he spoke, he called Bart closer and whispered a few instructions to him in a low voice. âRemember everything?â

The Millionai
âYes, Young Master!â
During the past two days, Grace has been shuttling between Angle and the Fallen residence.
It was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the recording for the talent show was suspended for a day, giving the girls a day off. She was also planning to return to Patricâs villa early and have a good meal with Third Brother. As she was tidying up her desk, her assistant, Beth, knocked on the door in a panic.
âDirector, something bad happened! The person in charge of the talent show said Abigail has gone.
missing again!â
Graceâs expression became extremely grave. Who could it be this time? Jade?
She quickly drove with Beth to the talent show base and checked all the surveillance footage. However, this time the situation was different from before. Abigail had never left the base, so she should still be there instead of being kidnapped.
The staff at the base searched every corner but couldnât find her. It was as if she had suddenly vanished into thin air. For a while, both the staff and the participating girls at the base were filled with anxiety.
Grace never believed in supernatural theories. Unless⦠Someone was playing tricks.
She called each of the girls who did office for questioning.
go home for the Mid-Autumn Festival individually into her
âI donât know. Iâm not in the same dorm as her, so I havenât seen her at allâ
âShe doesnât usually talk to us. She seems to have a better relationship with the other girls in her dorm.
Maybe you should ask them. I donât know anything.â
After questioning everyone, it became clear that each person wore a mask and told lies. There was no result.
Grace had no choice but to find May Miller, who had been eliminated in the previous season.
May said, âMy votes were too low, and Iâve already been eliminated. How would I know? But Jade didnât come to see me. It doesnât seem like something she would do. However, I know that Anna had a bad relationship with her. She would often secretly bully her when the cameras werenât around. Maybe you can start from that angle.â
Anna?
Grace narrowed her eyes. âOkay.â
She immediately had the person in charge investigate Annaiâs record of leaving the base. They found that she had left early this morning, and half an hour after she left, news of Abigailâs disappearance came from the base.
Could this be a case of bullying?
Grace swiftly arranged for an excuse to bring Anna back to the base. As Anna entered the base, she was forcefully taken to the conference room.
Grace sat in the main seat of the conference room, emanating a chilling aura as she stared at Anna, startling her.
âWho do you think you are? How dare you restrict my personal freedom and bring me here!â Anna exclaimed.
Grace smirked and said, âI am the talent showâs director and planner at Angle.â
After hearing her words, Anna scoffed, âDo you know who I am? Hanna Willow, the wealthy daughter at the base, is protecting me! If you dare to treat me like this, believe me, with just one phone call, I can make you immediately get out of Angle!â
âDo you want to try? Your phone call canât get me fired from Angle, but my phone call can get you.
immediately disqualified from the competition.â
Anna fell silent.
She had worked so hard to make it to this stage, and with her ranking, she had a chance to debut. She couldnât afford to be disqualified at this critical moment. Fearful of losing everything, she didnât dare gamble with Grace.
Seeing her wavering. Grace began to ask, âWhere is Abigail?TM
âI⦠I locked her in the small, secluded restroom on the east side.â
When they found Abigail, she was drenched and curled up on the floor, trembling. Her voice had become h oar se from shouting for help. Grace was furious, but first she had the staff take Abigail to the baseâs medical room for treatment, and then she made Anna apologize to her.
When Abigail slowly regained consciousness, the first thing she saw was the sight of Anna gnashing her teeth and kneeling beside her bed.
âIâm sorry! I shouldnât have played tricks on you!â
Hearing Annaâs restless tone, Abigail turned her face away, ignoring her completely.
Grace glanced at Anna on the floor, smiled insincerely, and said, âIt seems your apology isnât sincere enough. She doesnât forgive you.â
Anna panicked and immediately teared up. Her eyes turned red as she pleaded, âAbigail, I truly realize my mistake. I just wanted to play a prank on you; I didnât mean to actually hurt you. It wasnât intentional.
Please forgive me. Iâve made it through the preliminary rounds; I donât want to be
disqualified!â
Upon hearing her last words, Abigailâs eyes dimmed, and she sighed, âForget it, I forgive you. Now leave.â
Anna was overjoyed and looked at Grace, who had a cold and proud expression.
âYou heard her; she said she wouldnât hold it against me anymore!â
Grace nodded and turned to instruct the person in charge to process her disqualification.
Anna was bewildered. âWhy? You promised that if I apologized to her, you would let me off!â
âShe forgave you, but you caused her to lose her voice. We donât know if it will affect next weekâs competition. Thatâs why I wonât forgive you!â Grace said firmly.
âWhy? Anna protested.
âJust because not all apologies deserve forgiveness! And because I have the final say here!â
