There'll be some Somali words in this. But they're quite easy to find out what they mean.

"Ali," I called out passing him my handbag as I climbed off the train, holding his shoulder for support.
"It's Zak!" He cried grabbing on to my suitcase and dumping my handbag on top giving himself less things to carry.
I had met Zak Ali on the train less than two hours ago, when he had came and set next to me, trying to get my attention and my number he had for embarassed and flustered then completely messed up on his name, calling himself "Ali Zak ."
I giggled at the memory.
"Yeah, yeah Ali," I beamed climbing up the stairs and leaving him to follow my lead, dragging the luggage that had been delivered to my hotel room that morning.
"Where are you headed again?" He asked as they stepped outside into the cold late October air. I rubbed my bare hands together and breathed out.
"Chelmsford." I replied briefly "Didn't want to go alone," I shrugged looking back as Zak who was biting his pink lips and staring out into the sky.
"Shouldn't have got of at Grays then," he replied sounding almost bitter before looking back at me and smiling softly at me "But you must couldn't stand to be away from me."
"Don't get too cocky, you've only known me for about an hour," I grinned walking towards the bus stop with Zak following me, still dragging my suitcase and bag.
In my pocket was the iPhone 6 that Sebastian had wrapped up carefully for me, leaving a message apologizing for everything he had done to cause me pain.
I had also stuffed my oyster card and my purse in my pocket, just incase Zakir tried anything funny.
"Believe me an hour is all I need," he teased, beaming at me as he stuck out his hand, signalling for the bus to stop at the empty abandoned bus stop that we were waiting at.
I pulled out my purse, searching for a twenty pound note.
That's what I hate about Essex, you have to buy a ticket to get on the bus.
"Two tickets to Chelmsford," I heard Zak ask the bus driver as I watching him in confusion.
Was he seriously going to pay for me?
"That'll be £25.56." The bus driver spoke guffily as Zak slipped a twenty pound note and a a ten pound note under.
He took his change and led me towards the prioty seats before he gestured for me to sit down first.
"It's going to be a long journey," he sighed slumping down next to me "So we might as well get to know each other properly."
"I'm Zakir Ali," he began, knowing that I wasn't going to make the first move "I'm 24, 25 on December 27th er.. I have 9 siblings, four older, five younger and I'm a mechanic that believe it or not loves to cook and I'm just about as single as you can get. That's about it."
"Do I have to?" I groaned to which he nodded his head energetically "I'm Rylee Jordan and I'm 23, I... er my birthday is April 25th... and I'm sort-of an only child... I have three step-brothers and sister though.. I am.. I mean I was a nanny and I like Oreos dipped in Peanut Butter," I spoke stuttering a little, while confessing my guilty pleasure. Everyone thought it was so weird but in reality Oreos dipped in peanut butter was delicious.
"Bro, What the f*ck, why would you ruin peanut butter by dipping Oreos in it?" He asked shuddering slightly.
"Have you even ever tried it?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"...No."
"Exactly, it's delicious!" I exclaimed. I found myself staring at Zak.
He had dark brown eyes, almost black and black curly hair that couldn't be tamed, he had shaved the back of his hair and only the middle/front remained and his long curls had clearly gotten messed up by his hand constantly running through them.
He had faint laugh lines, but they were still visable when you had a good look at him. His skin was dark, but not as dark as mine almost a caramel colour and his eyebrows had clearly been untouched for a long time as they were quite bushy but they had still kept their shape quite well.
He was tall, not as tall as Sebastian but tall. Maybe at least 6'2 but maybe that was with the help of his trainers, but he was definitely 6'0 or over.
He was Somali and there was no hiding it.
"Rylee...Hello?" I blinked twice, realizing that I had zoned out while staring at him like he was a piece of meat on my plate.
"Yeah sorry I was thinking about something," I apologised blinking three times, to bring myself back to reality.
"Probably thinking about how good looking I am," he smirked smugly making me till my eyes "Don't be embarassed it's natural girls just can't keep their eyes off me."
"That must explain why you're still single." I laughed.
"I'm saving myself for the right woman," he gave me a lopsided smile before leaning forward and pressing the stop button.

"I can't believe I'm here!" I gushed to Zakir as we walked down Chelmsford High Street Market and admired all the men trying to advertise the cheap fruit the loudest.
"I thought you used to live here," he asked furrowing his eyebrows as he stopped in front of a toy stall and admired the dolls before picking one up and handing it to the man selling them.
"I did but I haven't been here in over a year," I sighed giving me a questioning glance "Don't tell me you collect dolls or something like that,"
"No it's for my sisters fifth birthday, anyway who collects dolls?" He explained pausing slightly "I collect cars."
"No way!" I exclaimed to which he nodded his head smiling.
"I'll show you later."
We walked around Chelmsford Market for a bit, Zakir talking about his younger siblings who he doted on.
I wondered to myself if he had any kids.
"I work around here." He said breaking the silence that had engulfed us "I could show you my car collection and then I'll drive you to wherever you wanna go."
I nodded my head, following him as we walked down the street, walking past the busy shops and down the crowded streets, Zakir checking every once in a while to see if I was okay.
We stopped at a large garage looking area and once again Zakir gave me a worries glance asking if I was okay.
"I'm fine, I don't know why you keep asking." I huffed following into the garage full of men in a blue jumpsuits.
"Is that Zak my eyes are seeing?" A man beamed wheeling out from under a car and staring at Zakir and I.
"No Jack your eyesight's crap." Another voice called out earning a chuckle from a few other men.
"Shut up Chuki, just because my wife didn't leave me doesn't mean hate," the man- Jack shot back making Zakir smile.
"For once Jack isn't seeing things again, How've you been Zakky-boy and who's the unlucky lady?" Another man spoke up flinging his arm around Zakir and pulling him away from me.
I continued to stand there awkwardly.
"Shut up guys, this is Rylee." He introduces me and I gave all the men an awkward wave.
"Hi Rylee," they all said in unison, some men even giving me the sly wink.
"I'm just really confused to why oh would chose Zak of all people, Do you usually go for men with smaller--" A younger man asked.
"If you say something like that again I swear Hamza," Zak growled "We're not dating."
"MashaAllah" Hamza praised after Sam's confession "God is good."
"That means you have an even lower chance of getting with her you baalayo!" A man yelled slapping the back of Hamza's head "Her standards must be very high, she'll not lower them for men like you."
"Aamos! Stop talking about her like she's not standing right next to you!" Zak yelled snatching my arm and pulling me away from the men "I'll be back on Tuesday, normal time."
"I said I'll show you my car collection, didn't I?" He said leading me into a room filled with cars. Cars that I had never seen before.
"When you said car collection, I thought you meant toys! Not this!" I exclaimed touching a bright red car that had obviously been spray painted but it looked wonderful.
"They're just broken down cars, most of them don't even have engines, so I just need around with them." He explained walking over to a blue car filled with F1 stickers "This was the first car I've messed around with and the one you're touching is my latest."
"You're seriously talented!" I gushed.
"I'm also really talented at other things if you wanna try....."

"Yeah that's it." I pointed to the semi detached house that I used to call my second home.
Now I didn't even have a first home.
Zakir stopped infront of Diamonds house and a tool a deep breath, before opening the car door and stepping out.
"Hey I'll see you around yeah?"
I nodded my head and slammed the door, waving at him before turning around and waddling over to Diamond's house.
She should be home by now, and so should Andre. I walked to the front porched, that was filled with colourful toys that hadn't been moved since I last came.
A full year ago.
I raised my fist, just about to knock when the door was pulled open and I was greeted by a very dishellved Dennis, who looked like he had had been caught stealing from his mother's bag.
"Rylee?"
"Dennis?"
I couldn't and wasn't really tying to hide the suprise in my voice as I stared at Dennis in suprise.
I swear him and Diamond hated each other.
"Dennis you left your tie..." her voice trailed off as she saw me standed at her front porch looking confused as hell.
Diamond had changed to the point that she was almost unrecognizable. She had shaved her hair and dyed it a platinum blonde and was wearing more make-up than I had ever seen her in.
Why did she sound so calm? Why was she holding something that belonged to Dennis?
I thought she hated everything about him and didn't want to share the same air as him.
I think they're sharing more than air....
"Am I interrupting something? Cause I could just go and come back later or..."
"No!" Dennis and Diamond exclaimed in unison "You're not interrupting anything."
"Infact I was just leaving." Dennis said trying to push past me and hurry to his car, well actually my old car.
"It was great to see you Rylee, maybe we could meet up for dinner at Bar and Beyond tonight?" He offered zipping up his jacket.
"Is seven alright?" I asked and he nodded his head before scurrying away to his car.
I watched him as he hopped into the car and sped off without giving either of us a second glance.
"Why are you here Rylee?" Diamond asked harshly, interrupting me from my thoughts.
"It's great to see you too Diamond," I replied sarcastically.
"Seriously why are you here?" She repeated, not bothering to invite me inside, so we stood outside in the freezing cold.
"I thought you would be happy to see me," I frowned, slightly shivering in the harsh weather.
"After like a year of not contacting me, what do you expect." She was about to soak the door in my face but I put my foot there to stop her.
"What the hell Diamond? You knew my situation." I hissed, trying not to get annoyed at her.
"Whatever," she once again attempted to slam the door in my face but I continued to use all my might to keep the door open.
"Can we at least talk?" I asked sounding hopefully.
She pushed the door again using all her force and I jumped back in suprise. The door slammed and I heard it lock.
Then I saw her shadow walk towards the window and close the curtains.
That was not how I expected it to go.
I sighed and pushed the gate open, exiting her front porch and signing softly.
There was only one possible person that I could call that could help me.

"Hi daddy," I smiled awkardly trying to remain calm, while I could see he was trying not to jump out of the car and slap me senseless.
Not that I had much sense left.
"Don't hi daddy me, Rylee." He snapped unlocking the car and winding up his window.
I opened the back door and slipped in, sitting comfortably in the warm car.
"Thanks," I muttered as he threw a blanket at me.
I watched the back of his shining bald hair turn as he took a left. My dad hadn't changed one bit. He had never changed, he looked the same since the day I was born till now.
Bald, black and he always had stress lines.
"Why?" Was all he said, and that was enough for me to know exactly what he was talking about.
"Got cold feet I guess," I shrugged, him and I both knowing that that wasn't the reason.
"Don't lie to me."
"Daaad do we have to talk about it know?" I asked whining like a five year old.
"We could've spoken about it a year ago before you wasted everyones money and time" he hissed driving into the estate that Precious, Him, David and Dayo lived.
"Atleast I didn't marry him im private." I shot back, bringing up his Precious and my Dad had married.
"Don't bring up my mistakes." Dad snapped through gritted teeth.
"Then don't bring up mine!"
"Don't think you're too old for an ass-whooping." Dad parked the car and stepped out slamming the door behind him.
I stepped out of the car, slamming the door behind him and following him into his house.
I looked around and spotted the family portrait that I was not in.
My Dad had his arms around Precious and around them were all her kids. He couldn't even be bothered to invite his own flesh and blood to be in a "family" portrait.
I pulled my suitcase to the my old bedroom and pushed open the door the reveal.... an office?
No. No. No. No.
I walked next door and pushed open Emmanuel bedroom and everything has been left where he had left it.
Emmanuel had been away for five years! He was engaged for Christ Sake and he definitely was not coming back here.
"Hey baby sis!" I heard Dayo's annoing voice. The person that I wanted the least just happened to be standing right behind me.
"Shut up, we aren't related," I snapped glaring at him.
"No need for that attitude Lee-Lee we've missed you," Dayo pulled me into a tight hug making me groan in disgust.
He smelt like weed.
"Don't ever touch me again." I snapped pushing him away then closing Emmanuel's bedroom door.
"Ooh feisty. Where have you been baby sis?"
"Around."
"Why so glum, chum?" He asked pouting.
"Stop talking to me." I scowled turning away from him and dragging my bag down to the hall to the guest room.
"Damn girl, your new attidute is flyyyy!" He whistled.
"And you're high. Please stop talking to me you smell like weed." I placed my two fingers on the bridge of my nose.
Out of all my step siblings Dayo was the only one that actually talked to me. The rest of them never even acknowledged my presence.
Such a bummer that I didn't like Dayo at all. He was annoying and clingy and called MY dad 'dad', and my dad treated him more like a son than he treated me a daughter.
Dayo the Dad Stealer. DTDS. That was I used to call him when I was younger. I guess the name stuck.
I walked into the guest room, slamming the door before Dayo had the chance to say anything else annoying and belly flopped onto the bed.
This was not how it was supposed to go.
Which one is worse my own home or the Reynolds home?
