Chapter 6| Disaster.
"Please tell me why we're here." Mr. Reynolds demanded, leaning on the stroller and looking around.
This place was like a Toy Heaven, every corner filled with toys, and baby items, just the sight of it making me feel dizzy.
"Because Ollie broke his favourite car and can't sleep without it." I explained briefly as I rolled my eyes dramatically.
I wasn't going to tell the exact full story, because nobody really needed to know that I was the one who broke the car.
He left it on the couch and I accidentally sat on it, knowing he loved it so much, I gave it to Winston who must've dumped it in Oliver's room.
"But I still don't understand why we're all here. I could've just picked him up a new car." Mr Reynolds frowned glancing at all the mums and dads, who were shopping with their children.
"Because now is the perfect time to get other things we need, like Oliver's new big boy bed, a potty, a play gym so Olive can get some tummt time, and Olive needs a bouncer, but since you're rich let's just get a swing rocker."
"I'm not made out of money you know." He grumbled, rolling his eyes.
"And I'm not made out of milk." I shot back, taking Oliver out of the stroller.
"Touche." He replied, almost cracking a smile, "Let's just get this done and over with." His voice turned back to serious as he began pushing the stroller away from me, making me run after him.
"Do you guys need any help?" A male store clerk approached us, fixing his headband in the process.
"N-." Mr Reynolds opened his mouth, to send him away but I quickly interrupted him.
"Yes, please. We would like to know where the baby swing rockers are." I told him and he smiled warmly.
"Right this way." He gestured for us to follow him and we did as he led us to where the baby section was, every once in a while I would notice Mr Reynolds roll his eyes.
The guy, began pointing at all the baby swings and baby swing rockers, and explaining all the different features they came with.
"I like the pink one." Olivia spoke up pointing at the pink baby swing.
"Me too." I agreed, looking the little butterflies that decorated it.
"How much?" Mr Reynolds asked the store clerk, who was watching Olivia and I, Mr Reynolds voice had clearly woken him up from his daydream.
Mr Reynolds rolled his eyes, clearly getting irrated with the poor guy, he looked so embarrassed.
"Oh.. erm £54.99." He replied from memory.
"Do you want it?" Mr Reynolds turned to face Olivia and I, who both nodded our heads.
"It's nice." I commented, stroking the butterflies that decorated it.
"It's for Olive, not for you." Olivia remarked, rolling her eyes, as he turned on her heel and walked away.
The store clerk opened his mouth to speak but Mr Reynolds interrupted, "Go away. We no longer need you."
"I'm sorry, he means thank you so much." I apologised quickly thanking him.
"No I don't." He frowned, looking down at me.
"If you need any more assistance, just call for Ryan." The store clerk, Ryan, smiled at me.
"We won't. Bye." Mr Reynolds glared at him, his look so menacing that Ryan, the store clerk ran away. All I could do at that moment was shake my head.

"Everyone has gotten something, and by the way you're looking at me, I can tell you want something." Mr Reynolds commented, as he pushed our trolley that was filled up with toys and baby things.
"No, it's fine. Anything I want, I'll buy by myself." I replied honestly as he led me to the teddy bear ailse.
"Its better than nothing." He shrugged, stopping in front of a large white teddy bear. "It'll make good decoration too." He added, as I continued to share at the teddy bear in awe.
"Its seventy pounds." I read out the price, my eyes widening in shock. Holy moly, this was expensive, "And you're willing to buy it for me?"
He laughed loudly, though I could tell it wasn't genuine, "Oh no! I'll just add it to your dept."
"@sshole." I grumbled, glaring at him.
"Oops, sorry. I didn't think you'd take it serious." He apologised, half-heartedly. His voice was just so monotone, I could tell he didn't really care if he offended me.
"Come on." I ordered, "We still need to look at big boy beds for Oliver, and pottys. Oh my God, we're so behind schedule!"

I stood on my tip toes and reached for it barely touching the blue Thomas the Tank Engine that I knew Ollie would love.
I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I turned around instantly, thinking it was Mr Reynolds, but instantly I was greeted by the chest of another very tall person.
This time it was a woman, and I couldn't have been more thankful.
"Need a hand?" She suggested, I missed still looking up at her like she was a giant beanstalk.
She was wearing a fine wine lip gloss and a black jacket and black shirt under with black leggings and black converse. She looked like an undercover model.
"Yes please." I grinned, stepping back so that she could take the potty. She didn't eveb have to stand on her tip toes, she just grabbed it and handed it to me.
"Thank you so much." I smiled "I really thought I was just going to have to settle for the Cinderella one." I laughed awkwardly.
"It was not problem." She smiled warmly, turning around to walk away.
"And I love your lip gloss." I added, calling after her, "Where did you get it?"
*
*
"I can't believe you got it for so cheap. That's so unfair." I complained, throwing another box of nappies in the trolley. I noticed Mr Reynolds eye twitch slightly, as I began to talk about lip gloss again.
"My boyfriend knows a guy." She shrugged smirking, "He's pretty awesome, and needed a model for his makeup kit."
"Well I also need to know this guy. Does he have a website?" I asked.
No, but I'll call you as soon as he gets one." She grinned, "Which reminds me, put your number in my phone." She ordered handing me her phone.
"You do it too." I handed her my phone and we exchanged numbers.
"I have to go." She picked up the teddy that she was buying for her niece, and brought it to her chest.
"Don't leave me." I begged, glancing back at Mr Reynolds, who was rolling his eyes.
"Bye Rylee. I'll call you as soon as he finishes it. I promise." She waved and walked to the till .
"Bye Noire." I waved and she waved back, payed for the bear and left.
"Finally. She was talking to me." Sebastian grumbled, picking up an activity gym and placing it in the trolley, "We have everything except the bed, and we're ready to go."
"Everything except the kids, and Olive's new diaper. You go look for them, I'll be right back." I took the baby bag and the smelly Olive into the ladies bathroom.

I came out of the ladies bathroom with Olive in her baby carrier, her head on my chest and her legs dangling.
I ran my hand up and down, gently soothing her as we went to find Mr Reynolds in this large shop.
As we walked past all the nerf guns, I couldn't help but think about my David. He'd probably be here right now. We may be laying in my bed together back at Anita's house, while watching Come Dine with Me.
I ran my hand my across the nerf gun, imaging him running around holding this gun, so excited to be able to use it.
"There you are!" Mr Reynolds let out a breath of relief as he pushed the trolley towards me, "I thought you'd left."
"And taken Olive with me? Without an extra pair of diapers? No way." I replied honestly, as we strolled around the shop together looking for Oliver and Olivia.
He rolled his eyes at my lame joke, making me look away in embarrassment. Thank God, I was too dark to blush.
"Oliver is probably looking at cars. We'll check there out first." He suggested, turning the trolley in the direction of the cars aisle. This shop was so huge, they had an ailse for almost everything.
"There he is!" I exclaimed, pointing at Oliver, who was bouncing up and down excitedly while pointing to a car.
From where I was standing, I was able to hear him chant "Car!" repeatedly. He had been jumping so much, that his coat had slid down to his elbows and was dangling.
"There you are." I smiled, picking him up and placing him in my hip, so that he didn't squish Olive, who was trying to sleep, "We've been looking for you!"
"Car?" He pointed the the large box, with different model of cars on it. I turned to glance at Sebastian who nodded, so I placed Oliver back on the floor and he ran back to get the box.
There wasn't any space in the trolley for Oliver to sit down, so I ended up holding his hand as we searched for Olivia. He had these sudden bursts of energy where he'd decide to run off and drag me along with him.
"Owivia!" He exclaimed, dragging me over to where the four year old was stood, glaring at another girl, who was more or less around the same age as Olivia.
"Shut up, Cindy, I'm a better dancer and Miss likes me more." She argued, looking as though she was going to pounce on the girl.
"No you're not, Livvybear, Miss only feels bad for you because you don't have a mum anymore." Cindy shot back, and I felt a tall and muscular presence stand behind me, I could feel his breath fanning against my neck and I could tell that he was angry. "If I was your mum, I would've died too, because you're so ugly and annoying."
I was about to step in, but Sebastian wrapped his arms away pulling me back.
What the hell?!
"Shut up!" Olivia shrieked, pouncing on the girl, sitting on top of her and hitting her. She was just like an animal!
"Olivia!" I exclaimed, Mr Reynolds let go off me so I could rush towards the girls pulling Olivia off the girl, as she still continued to kick and air scratch her.
"Put me down!" She growled, throwing kicks and punches, "I've not finished her! Let me finish her!"
"No. Come on we're going home." Mr Reynolds instructed. I could not letting her go incase she ran back to Cindy, who had ran back to her parents, crying.
"Your child is a monster!" Cindy's mother cried picking up her daughter, "She's an animal!"
"Let's go." Sebastian muttered, turning the trolley around and leading us out.
We payed for our new things and left the shop. Nobody dared even utter a word.

When we arrived home, Olivia was absolutely livid, every little thing made her snap.
She played with her food while glaring at every one who was just peacefully eating their dinner.
"Olivia, you've got to eat. You've hardly eaten anything today." I sighed, glancing at the food that she had hardly touched.
"I don't want to eat it, so I'm not gonna eat it." She replied, pushing her food away, "You're just another silly nanny, you can't tell me what to do."
I was stunned.
"Enough. Olivia, go to your room." Mr Reynolds ordered, standing up.
"Stop acting like our mum. You're not our mum and you never will be so just go back to where ever you came from." Olivia yelled, pushing the plate of the side of the table, so it landed on the floor smashing before running off upstairs to her bedroom and slamming the door behind her.
I had never, not in my 23 years old living seen such an angry child. This wasn't just a little temper tantrum, this was consistent.
"I'm so sorry for her behaviour." Mr Reynolds apologised, running a hand through his dark hair, "She just.."
"Going through a lot." I finished for him, and he nodded, "It must be tough." I grabbed the broom and began sweeping up her mess.
I heard Mr Reynolds sigh, before stalking off.

I had set everything out, and Olive was in love with her new baby swing rocker. It rocked by itself, and was appearently very good for helping babies sleep.
While Olive rocked, and Oliver played with cars. Mr Reynolds and I, found ourselves conversing in the kitchen.
"It's not the first time Cindy and Olivia have clashed. Their fued has been going on since they were two." He explained, pouring himself a glass of wine.
"Has she ever hit her before?" I pondered.
"Nope, today was a first but I can't say I'm suprised." He shrugged, "But tomorrow," he groaned, "That's all I'm going to hear from her father." He downed the whole glass of wine and sighed.
"It's getting late, I'd better put the kids to sleep." I turned around and left him alone in the kitchen.
"Honestly.." Mr Reynolds began as I started to walk away, I paused turning to face him, "I'm suprised you haven't quit yet."
"To be honest, so am I." I replied honestly as I left the kitchen.
Putting Olive to sleep was simple, I just put on her sleepsuit and lay her in her crib, turned off the light and let her sleep in peace.
Now, Oliver, was a whole nother story. He fought me, when I was trying to put on his pyjamas, pushing me away then trying to run off, claiming that he had to go and see his 'dada.' We ended up staying up late, and watching three episodes to Thomas the Tank Engine before he finally fell asleep. Since he was such a deep sleeper I used that as the perfect opportunity to cut his sharp nails.
I rested my head on the small couch in Oliver's room and found myself dozing off.
My eyes fluttered open, as I looked at the blurred figure that was carrying me. Was I dead?
"Shhh, go back to sleep." The voice whispered, it was almost like a lullaby, so smooth, so soft.
I snuggled closer into the hard chest, sniffing in the heavenly smell of... colonge?
Mr Reynolds?!
He kicked the door open and walked inside my bedroom, gently laying me down on my bed. He pulled the duvet over my bed, and kissed my temple.
"Sh!t." He swore quietly, using his thumb to wipe where he'd just kissed me. But not even a sponge could wipe of the tingles that he left on my body.
I think... I think I'm crushing on Mr Reynolds.

When I talk about Sebastians colonge I always think of Tessa Brooks.
"Yeah I smell good.. is that your boys colonge?"
I don't even know why ð
