Chapter 963
Changing only for her (Sophie and Tristan)
Chapter 963 Undefeatable Legend
âYes, heâs my fiancé
âIn that case, we will also place our trust in him. If he is the one who will construct the new order, he
shall receive our unwavering backing.â
If that man was Sophieâs fiancé, they were going to show him their support.
âPlease ask him to contact me directly if he needs anything. Weâll work together with him,â Arthur
added. He knew that only by establishing the new order would they be able to survive there.
Therefore, they had to extend their help to Tristan.
There were no disadvantages to the construction of a new order.
âOkay, I got it. He wonât let you down,â Sophie promised. She knew that Tristan would do good on his
promise.
âOkay.â
Just then, Tristan arrived. When the villagers saw another newcomer, they tensed up again. However,
after casting glances at Arthurâs expression, they figured out that the newcomer was not someone who
would bring harm to them, so they relaxed.
Sophie and Arthur rose to their feet to welcome Tristan.
âHello, Mr. Tristan. Iâm Arthur Camidge. If you need any help in the future, please feel free to come to
me, he uttered. It was not a lie; Arthur was capable of making things happen in the village.
âAll right. Thank you, Mr. Camidge.â Tristan replied politely.
âMr. Tristan, please sit down and have a drink with the others if you donât mind,â Arthur suggested. It
was likely that they were going to interact more often in the near future, after all.
Things would go smoother if they knew each other better.
âMr. Camidge, no need for courteous words. Weâre all friends here, so why would we mind?â
Even though Tristan usually seemed like a prideful affluent gentleman, he was capable of humbling
himself to blend into the environment.
Moreover, he was knowledgeable and could chat with Arthur on any topic the latter raised.
Arthur liked him, and he was honest about it.
âMr. Tristan, youâre a pleasant man to talk to, but of course, how can Ms. Tanner fall for anyone less?â
he said, nodding.
Sophie was their savior, and he was overjoyed to see their savior in a happy relationship.
âMr. Camidge, you should drink lesser.â Sophie voiced out, a little worried that Arthur would suffer from
a terrible hangover later on.
Their alcohol was strong, and Arthur had drunk quite a number of glasses.
âIâm fine. I just want to celebrate today. I wonât get drunk,â he said.
He had gotten rid of a big issue in their village, and he had gotten to know a wonderful individual. It was
no surprise that he was ecstatic.
Just then, someone else at the side also prompted, âMr. Camidge, please drink lesser. Donât embarrass
yourself in front of Ms. Tanner.âââ
It was only then Arthur put down his wine glass.
âMr. Tristan, someone has to build a new order. Weâre not capable of doing that, but you are, so please
help us out.â Arthur said, a tinge of bitterness in his tone.
If it were possible, they would have wanted to establish the new order themselves.
Alas, none of them was talented enough to do that. They could only place their hope on someone else.
There was nothing they could do about it.
The place was simply too underdeveloped, and they did not have the necessary financial funding.
âOf course, Mr. Camidge. Donât worry. I wonât give up on this place.â
After that, Arthur was led away by another person. Sophie and Tristan then stood up, ready to leave.
âWhy are you here?â
âThe guard said that my fiancée fled, so, of course, I have to come and check out the situation. If
youâve really run off, who am I supposed to have the wedding with?â Tristan answered.
Holding hands, they then made their way out of the village.
âI wonât run. Iâll only hold tightly onto you. Iâll never leave,â she reassured. Sophie could never bring
herself to lose such a wonderful fiancé like Tristan.
âIâm glad to hear that.â The night was beautiful and much cooler than the day, so the two of them took
their time walking back.
âTo be honest, itâs not easy to formulate a new hierarchical structure,â Sophie said. She had researched
the local situation, and she realized that there were a few forces established in the area.
Kaarle had only been a tyrant at the village.
âTrust me. If I say itâs doable, then it is. You have me here. Whatâs there that I canât do? Also, I have
you too.â
He was certain that Sophie could even introduce a new system of governance all by herself, but he did
not wish to see her overwork herself.
âYes, youâre right. Iâll help you out.â
They were there for each other, so there were no problems in the world they could not solve.
Once they returned to the base, they spotted Bertram practicing with his subordinates. Bertram was a
battle maniac, so it was not surprising to see him doing that.
When he saw Sophie return, he boldly said, âMs. Tanner, Iâve always known that youâre good in a fight.
Is it okay if I spar with you?â
Sophie was a little taken aback by his request.
Whatâs Bertram doing? Iâm a girl, am I not?
âMs. Tanner, can I?â Bertram urged, his eyes bright in anticipation of her agreement. Itâs nothing much;
itâs just sparring, so it should be fine, right?
âSure.â
Sophie could not bring herself to reject him when she realized how eager he was.
Bertram then turned to Tristan and asked, âMr. Tristan, is that okay?â
After all, Tristan was the one with the final say in the base, and Sophie was his fiancée.
âWhy should I stop you if youâre looking to hurt yourself?â
âMr. Tristan, Bertâs our best fighter, and Ms. Tanner is just a fragile woman. It wonât be good if she ends
up getting hurt.â
âHeâs right! Bert, what are you doing? How can you fight a girl?â another cried out. Even though it was
just a practice, Bertram was going up against a woman.
âIâm fine. I donât mind this at all. Bert, you donât need to go easy on me,â Sophie responded, flexing her
wrist.
Bertram gulped.
Did I make a mistake?
âAll right, letâs begin!â They did not want the rest of the crowd to wait for long-
Meanwhile, Tristan went to look for a seat, not at all fretting about Sophie.
âI wonder what Mr. Tristan will do if Bert makes Ms. Tanner cry.â
âThatâll never happen! Bert wonât do that. He wonât dare to make her cry!â
At that, Bertram could only blink awkwardly.
Will Ms. Tanner end up making me cry? Isnât this just sparring? Why are they exaggerating the
situation? Wonât it be embarrassing if I really canât defeat Ms. Tanner?
âBert, you should focus when youâre sparring.â
In the blink of an eye, Sophie had already kicked Bertram in the arm.
Even though Sophie did not use all of her strength in that attack, Bertram had already figured out how
capable she was.
âApologies, but Iâm going to go all out in this,â he then uttered. By then, the battle maniac had forgotten
all about Sophieâs identity as he threw himself into the match with her.
Bertram was undefeatable in the base, but at that moment, a woman was easily countering Bertramâs
attacks.
