Battling
Pregnant And Rejected Omega
Stefan
Iâm not sure how long we have been fighting, but the longer it lasts, the more strength he gains, and I realise his wolf wasnât fully bound.
Some of his men have run off in the direction of the distraction, so I know that they will have their wolves back soon. Not that it helps me now, I donât have the strength against Wayne and his wolf.
I fall to my knees and he laughs, but right now, my body hurts.
âHold him down,â Wayne speaks and I feel my arms get gripped and them holding me down to keep me kneeling. âYou see, all I wanted to do was show everyone how it felt without a wolf.â His face leans into mine.
âAfter all, Harlyn had no wolf, and many of the people here mocked her for it. They will now realise just how she felt.â His fist swings and hits me, and I groan. âDonât worry. I will claim her again and use magic, so she stays.â He leans into my ear. âAnd well, your pups, I guess they become like the Cinderellas of the fairytale, just without the happy ending.â
I see the knife, and my body shakes, and I feel Ghost take control. Shifting, I throw the two people off me who have hold of my body and jump at Wayne, he falls backwards.
Snarling, I bite his arm and he screams as it comes off. He canât shift without all his body parts. Gripping his other arm, I pull, tearing it from his body as he screams and thrashes.
I can hear the others fighting, but ignore them as I reach down and bite against his neck, pulling until his body is no longer connected to his head.
A growl leaves my lips as I feel something sharp stab my back, turning, I see the man and watch him fall. Thorin stands with blood on his paws.
This fucking child. Grabbing his shirt with my teeth I drag him away from the fighting. Nudging him into the trees, he protests and fights against my grip.
Letting go, I turn to walk away and he follows.
âIâm helping,â he argues; I growl at him, more to make him realise he canât, and he simply laughs. I canât even try to deny this is my kid, as I was the damn same.
âItâs safe, how did he get here?â I turn to see my father. âThe clothes are there,â he says, pointing to a large boulder; walking over, I shift and put the clothes on before going back to where he is.
âIt wasnât safe,â my father looks at Thorin. âYouâre too little to help,â his words seem to annoy Thorin.
âI can help,â Thorin argues.
âNo, youâre too young,â I reply.
âOh, now you agree? Yet as a child you were worse than him,â my father glares at me and I bite back the laughter. âEveryone is dead; letâs get back and celebrate,â he smiles now, and my head shakes.
âYou can; Iâm not,â I reply. I need to see Harlyn and make sure she is okay. I want to spend time with her and the pups without the drama.
âSure, letâs get home,â my father replies and picks up Thorin. âBy the way, the knife was aimed at your heart, so he did save you,â my father laughs and keeps Thorin on his shoulder.
I donât bother replying, I just make my way back to the palace with everyone else.
Harlyn
I wake up in bed, but Stefan isnât here. As I sit up, the queen smiles at me.
âHeâs well, he went to help at the wall against any attacks. You should rest some more,â she says while smiling.
âWhere are the pups?â I ask, as I move and get up.
âThey are in the games room, and the maids are watching them,â she smiles at me, and I walk through. Getting into the room, I see Lotta and Isaac but no Thorin.
âWhere is Thorin?â The queen looks around.
âHe went to the toilet Your Grace,â one of the maids curtseys.
No, he didnât. We walk through and check but canât find him. I stop when I see Samuel.
âHas Thorin been in here?â I look at the soldier.
âBriefly, yes.â
âHeâs gone to help,â I say, and move to rush through the palace; getting near the entrance, I see my mother. âHave you seen Thorin?â I ask, feeling myself panicking.
âNo, why?â
âHe seems to have gone,â the queen says. I will get soldiers to go after him. Iâm not sure when he left, however.â She speaks, and my head shakes.
âIâm going,â I say. I take a step forward, see the door open, and watch everyone walk in. I spot Thorin on the former Kingâs shoulder and rush over.
âHeâs fine. He arrived at the very end,â he smiles and lifts him down, my arms wrapping around him.
âDonât ever do that again,â I shout, and still feel myself panicking over this.
âI wanted to help,â Thorin argues.
âHarlyn, heâs safe,â Stefan walks to me as everyone disappears. âGo get cleaned up and changed, youâve had those clothes on for days. Use the room that you had when you stayed with Lucy, some of your clothes are in there,â he smiles at me.
My eyes go from Stefan to Thorin.
âSorry, Mummy. I will go stay in the games room until youâre finished,â he says and turns, stopping. I hug him.
âItâs fine; just donât do it again, please,â I say before kissing his cheek and releasing him, watching him rush off.
âI will get cleaned up and see you later,â Stefan smiles and walks away. Turning, I walk through to the room and get cleaned up and changed. I feel mentally exhausted, but I know everyone will be celebrating the win.
Based on the looks of everything, it wasnât an easy battle, so they will certainly be celebrating. Walking out, I go to the games room. My plan is to get the pups and let them join the celebration. As I walk into the room, I see Stefan sitting with them.
I want to talk to him about what his mind tortured him with, but it can wait until later.
