Chapter 132-1
Not A Small-Town Girl
Chapter 132
"Permission to step in for Danielle, Sir!" Juniper quickly offered, worried Danielle might accidentally send someone to the hospital.
Danielle cast Juniper a sidelong glance and replied calmly, "Iâve got this."
In the crowd, Emmaâs lips curled into a mocking smirk. âServes you right, Danielle. Letâs see how you embarrass yourself in front of the entire school. Maybe youâll even get hurt. Thatâll teach you not to mess with me and David.
Danielle stepped onto the sparring platform with an air of quiet confidence, her expression serene and unreadable.
The opponent from Class 2, a cocky male student, reddened slightly as he saw her up close. Her beauty was disarming. With an attempt at charm, he said, "Danielle, right? Donât worry, Iâll go easy on you."
Danielleâs face remained impassive. Her voice was cold as she replied, "No need. Give it everything youâve got."
Luke, standing nearby, shook his head. He knew Danielleâs capabilities far too well. This overconfident fool had no idea what he was up against.
Danielleâs strength was unmatched-he had seen her defeat Maximus with a single kick, leaving the seasoned combat instructor coughing up blood.
Maximus blew his whistle. "Begin!"
The match started, and Danielle didnât move a muscle.
The crowd murmured. "Why isnât she moving? Is she frozen with fear?"
"She was so full of herself earlier, and now sheâs just standing there. What a letdown."
"Honestly, this is embarrassing for our class. I couldâve done better."
"Yeah, sheâs a total disgrace."
The snickering continued until a loud thud silenced them all.
Everyoneâs attention snapped back to the platform. Danielle stood calmly in the same spot, while her opponent lay sprawled on the ground.
"What just happened?"
"I saw it! Danielle didnât even move at first, but when the guy charged, she landed a perfect kick and knocked him flat!"
