Chapter 224-2
Not A Small-Town Girl
----
âElliot, there, up ahead! Thatâs the car! We need to catch
up!" Matthew barked, his eyes blazing with determination as
he locked his gaze on the vehicle ahead.
Inside the car, Ivan noticed the pursuing vehicle in the
rearview mirror. Without hesitation, he slammed his foot on
the accelerator, his eyes flashing with malice.
If not for the tracker he had secretly
planted ot Judy, he would have ¢ o
never made it out of the Darling>
familyâs estate alive. Judy hadânearly
costiim everything with hero
brainless actions.
----
But Danielle... she kept ruining their plans, and now she
even knew how to hypnotize people.
As the car behind closed the gap, Ilvanâs expression
remained calm. He wasnât worried. Aside from Elliot and
Danielle, none of the Darling family had anything to worry
about.
Elliotâs vehicle sped up, blocking Ivanâs path.
âMake sure you both stay alert when you get out. Ivan has
been hiding in the Darling family for years. Heâs not
someone we can take lightly," Elliot warned Matthew and
Austin.
"Got it, got it. Weâll catch him," Austin answered
enthusiastically, but before Elliot could react, Austin had
already dashed out of the car.
----
Elliot was speechless. Heâd just wasted his breath.
Austin banged on lvanâs car window, his face clouded with
anger. "Get out of the car! Youâve betrayed the Darling
family, and now youâre trying to escape? This is the end for
you!"
âYouâre not going anywhere. If you think you can dodge your
fate by staying in the car, think again," Matthew added, his
voice cold as he stepped up to the front of the car.
lvanâs lips curled into a twisted grin. "Three of you? You
think youâre going to take me down all at once? Fine, letâs
see how Elliot fares.â
The car door swung open, and Ivan stepped out, smiling.
âGentlemen, to what do I owe the pleasure?"
----
"Austin, enough of the games. Judy
has already spilled everything. o
Youâre ait undercover agent, and
youâll pay for your betrayal. DoYyou
havecany last words?" Austinâs voice
was dripping with disgust-
Ivan maintained his sinister smile. "Austin, when youâre
throwing threats around, you better have the power to back
them up. Otherwise, the next person to die will be you."
Before Austin could even blink, lvan swung a punch directly
at his face.
----
Elliot, watching Ivanâs every move, reacted instantly,
blocking the punch and preventing Austin from taking the
blow.
But it was all a diversion. lvanâs fist contained a fine powder,
which he flung into the air, hitting Austin and Matthew
directly.
Seconds later, the two guys began to collapse, their limbs
turning to jelly, their breaths quick and shallow, foam spilling
from their mouths as they crumpled to the ground.
Elliot heard the sickening thuds as they fell, and turned just
in time to see his two brothers incapacitated. Ivan... youâll
pay for this.
----
This,â Ivan said with a twisted grin, "is the price they paid
for provoking me. I donât take kindly to being threatened.
Consider it their one-way ticket to hell."
Elliotâs fury reached its peak, but there was also a trace of
concern. Why had Austin and Matthew acted so recklessly?
They were usually so calm.
âYou hurt my brothers,â Elliot growled, eyes blazing. "Now
youâre going to join them."
With a single, furious punch, Elliot lunged at Ivan.
But before the blow could land, Ivan drew a gun, aiming it
directly at Elliot.
----
âElliot, itâs your turn to join your brothers,â Ivan said, his
voice dripping with venom.
Elliot ducked and dodged the bullets that whizzed past him,
narrowly avoiding them.
But just as things were reaching a breaking point, a Bugatti
roared onto the scene, screeching to a halt. The driverâs
window rolled down, and a figure emerged from the car.
Danielle, with a calm expression,
raised hetgun and fired three shots
in quickâSuccession. The first stot
hit lva娉s wrist, the second strack his
leg,é and the third slammed ito his
bask.
----
The car swerved, its tail end swinging out dramatically as it
came to a stop.
Ivan didnât have time to react. He dropped to the ground,
unable to even process what had happened before Elliot
was on him, pinning him down.
