Glint | AKA: ??

I found it interesting how persistent Caleb was.

He only just discovered now that I was human too? It was almost like he never considered asking me questions in the two years he's so called, "known" me.

Fuck. It was amusing how stupid he was.

Then again, he's always piqued my interest. What did I expect with him this time too?

Caleb Chartier

I hadn't responded to Glints message.

He hardly even answered to two of my questions. It was more like 1 and 1/4.

What was I supposed to respond with anyway: "oh yeah! I'd like my siblings to drown in the hole they created for me!" I would just sound like a psychopath. But then again, there was another thought compelling me to respond to him.

I angrily plopped down onto on bed, my back hitting the soft mattress. I needed to get him off my mind somehow. To just erase the stupid image I had in my head of him.

Then I remembered.

The party.

I've never been to one before and it was the perfect chance to forget all about Glint.

I pulled out my new phone and opened Grace's contact.

You

I changed my mind about the party.

I giggled at her use of emojis. It was so unnecessary, but without it, it just wouldn't be Grace.

If I regretted this, it would 100% be on Grace.

A few hours later, Grace came to pick me up. I ignored the stares my siblings gave me as I walked past them. I kept my head low and eyes on the floor. Locking eye contact with them was something I would not look forward to. It'd result in me laying on the ground bleeding, probably.

"Hey Cal!" Grace greeted as she rolled her window down and unlocked her doors. She drove her mom's Honda-pilot which was used as a family car. Grace had a couple of siblings, but nothing compared to mine.

I sat in the passengers seat and looked Grace up and down. She wore a pink dress to match her personality and kept her hair in down with two strands in the back. They were being tied together with a pink ribbon. She wore makeup to with her outfit as well. Black eyeliner, lipgloss, blush, highlighter and pink eyeshadow.

"Wow. You look amazing." I complimented. Grace giggled.

"Wait till you see Alisha! I was blown away as soon as I saw her." Grace said.

"I thought people dress up like this for prom? Why for a little party like this?"

Grace shrugged. "I dunno. A lot of people were talking about wearing dresses to the party so everyone kind of just joined in on it. I don't know what the boys are wearing though."

I nodded even thought Grace couldn't see my head moving as she drove. "Well I guess I'll just be the only underdressed one." I muttered.

Grace didn't hear me.

We pulled to a house that was decently smaller than mine but still enough to hold a ton of people. Then again, who could even beat my house? It was way too big.

"Anyway I saw your siblings in there? How come you never talk about them?" Grace asked.

I bit my lip.

"No reason.. they're just not important." I lied.

She nodded. "You're so lucky! You have siblings around your age that you can talk to. I'm stuck with little babies." she groaned.

I forcefully laughed. I hated talking about my siblings.

"Anyway, we're here. Let's go." I said, hopping out.

We walked into the house. The door was left open, which was definitely not safe and definitely very greeting.

Crowds of people were gathered in there. Some drinking, some smoking, some grinding against each other. I gagged. How could people enjoy this atmosphere? It reeked of alcohol and cannabis.

I scanned the people there. There were some familiar faces like Sam, Alisha, Damien.. and that was it. It was kind of sad how I had no friends.

"Follow me Cal! Don't get lost!" Grace said. While she had said. I was already lost in the sea of the crowd. I got pushed around by a group of schools dancing and got launched into the corner of a table. Luckily, the corner was round but it still hurt as equally as a spiky corner.

I looked around and noticed I was in the kitchen. A girl next to me was vomiting her guts out in the trash can. It almost caused me to vomit.

"Eugh.." I gagged, turning away.

The girl gave me a nasty look.

"Virgin." she spat and threw a middle finger at. Before I could say anything back, she walked away and left me flabbergasted.

Great, I've only been here for a couple of minutes and I was already done with it. I would leave if I could, but Grace was the one who drove me. She was the one who's supposed to take me home.

I retreated to a corner near the stairs and let my back rest against it. Grace, Alisha and Damien were nowhere to be seen. I sighed. Why did I come here anyway?

Oh yeah, Glint.

I still couldn't erase him from my mind. I was so paranoid I swore I felt someone looking at me. It send goosebumps up my arms and down my clothed legs.

I looked over at the drinks lined up on the kitchen table.

"Y'know what, who gives a shit!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up and walking over to the table.

Two chapters in a day! My fingers are so tired 🥱!

I'm so happy to finally get to the good parts! I'm hoping to stretch out the story and make it more interesting. I'll most likely make chapter icons to go with the chapters pretty soon. Let me know what you would think of that!

QUESTION: If you could picture Caleb, what would he look like?

Me: I have no idea! I want to hear your opinion!
