Kelvin's POV

My head was pounding furiously. The lingering taste of bile at the back of my throat kept threatening to spill my already empty guts.

The guys and I were at the club last night and we had quite a lot to drink. I still wonder how I was able to navigate my way back to my suite. The hangover was an inevitable price I knew I'd have to pay.

I got up from bed, groaning with a severe tumbling in my head. Yeah, a night out drinking may be a lot of fun but the hangover completely sucks.

I was about to get out of bed when I heard a faint snore beside me. For the first time, I noticed the mound on my sheets; something was definitely under there. I throw off the blanket to find a nest of blonde hair attached to a person, a girl, probably early twenties but could be younger. Memories of the night before began trickling in.

"I'm going to murder Josh", I thought to myself. the fucker knew how much I detested these leeching girls and still allowed me to bring this bimbo home.

I grabbed her hand in anger and jerked her up. she woke up with a yelp.

"What the hell are you doing in my house"? I said coldly.

"You brought me to your house last night, don't you remember?" she answered with a smile on her face.

I looked at her deeply all ready to burst into anger. Even in anger, I noticed she was a beautiful lady with long straight hair, a slim torso, a nice, curvy ass, and a perfect set of knockers.

Hold up! what the hell am I even thinking? She probably was another gold digger, recognizing who I was and cajoling her way after me while I was hammered.

I walked to my bedside table, took out a bundle of cash, and threw it at her.

"Thank you for last night, you can go now," I said trying to muster as much politeness as I possibly could.

She didn't look too pleased but I didn't give a fuck. As I turned towards the bathroom to get my day started, I heard her hurried footsteps behind me. I turned around just in time to catch her hand mid air.

"Did you just try....to hit me?". I was kinda amused. I might have been wrong; she had no idea who she was dealing with.

"Do I seem like some kind of whore to you?"

She looked more than a little feisty.

"Absolutely. I'd reckon you're worse."

I've had some experience with girls like this before. She may be a little feistier than usual but it's nothing I can't handle.

I leaned in closer to her face.

"Don't you act smart with me? I remember how you got me here last night. I'm quite sure you have a good idea who I am but I assure you that you cannot even begin to comprehend the resources at my disposal. In the next ten minutes, I could make it like you never existed. So, if you know what's good for you, you'd take the cash and make yourself scarce."

I let her go. I sure put enough fear in her because by the time I got back from the bathroom she was gone. Although she made away with my wristwatch which wasn't much of a problem. It may have cost a couple thousand but it still wasn't among my favorites.

She might have thought I was one of those cocksuckers you could tie down and milk. I'm not one for relationships. Girls I've met have always seemed to be one thing: opportunists. I see no reason whatsoever why I'd wanna tie myself down to such. I gotta admit though, Sometimes I flirt with them when I'm drunk: drunk me loves being with women.

I picked up my cellphone to check the time: (9:50 AM). I hate being late.

It may have been my dad's company but managing the company is the one thing I take very seriously; it's my number one priority. Most of my friends call me a workaholic, but guess what? I don't give a fuck. Mostly because I don't have many friends.

I decided to go with my pinstriped Armani three-piece suit and my newly bought Testoni dress shoes. I took a glance at the mirror to make sure everything was perfect. I rushed to the kitchen to take a glass of water and some painkillers to reduce the headache.

My penthouse was quite a mess. We must have had a wild night. Esmeralda probably wouldn't mind. She'd have it all cleaned up and leave before I returned. She's easily the best help one can have.

The hangover was killing me, I felt like crap.

Getting to my garage I decided to go with my BMW i8 2017 model. Although I have a chauffeur, he is not always needed as I prefer driving myself. Driving always clears my head. I only need my driver when attending official events or when I don't feel good enough to drive and the i8 models weren't built for a chauffer.

My head needs clearing today.

~~~~~
A few minutes later I arrived at my office building. I parked my car in my private parking area and went into the building.
I heard many greetings directed at me, I walked right past without answering any of them. They quickly turn back to their workstations as they usually quiver in fear of my presence. Being a  relatively young CEO of a multi-billion dollar company is not an easy task. I keep a ruthless and emotionless persona to be taken seriously. This didn't bother me much because time and time again I've proven myself better than all of my contemporaries. They just can't keep up. They'd know better than to get in my fucking way.
My Grandfather started the construction company and handed it over to my father who expanded it taking the company to greater heights.
Though the company was handed over to me three years ago my father still gets involved in all critical decision making. I plan to expand it even more and make it greater than what it already is. Before long he'd see he has nothing more to offer the company apart from me.
As I made my way to my private elevator, I checked through a fingerprint scanner located at the elevator entrance. I like my privacy and was very strict with security cause I don't just want any scumbag sharing my elevator.
I got into the elevator and made it to the 60th floor where my office is located. And In case you were wondering, yes, my company is that big.
"Good morning sir" my secretary greeted me in her flirty voice as usual. I ignored her, also as usual. She always seems to be trying new and interesting ways to seduce me with her skimpy outfits each passing day, always dressed like she was heading to a club or some porn movie shoot. I could have fired her a long time ago but she's more than a little good at her job.
I had barely sat in my chair when I heard a knock on my door. it was definitively Ryan, my assistant. No one else would gamble with their job like that so early in the morning.
He came in with my coffee and some files in his hands. I could use a cup of coffee. As always he always knows what I need and when.
"Good morning sir," he said putting the file down on the desk and my coffee.
"Morning," I answered.
I know you might be wondering why I answered his greetings when I ignored everyone else's. You see, Ryan is the only person I can tolerate in this building. The others, with their constant grovelling and snivelling, are just insane.
"Sir, your father called. He demands that you call back immediately you arrive at the office.", he completed.
"Did he tell you the reason why he called?" I asked him.
"No sir", he said with some air of finality.
"Oh and then sir, these are the files you asked me to go through. I am done with them. All that's left is your signature."
"That's fine Ryan, leave them on the desk. You may go. ", I said dismissing him. He went out of the office quietly closing the doors.
I could not help but wonder why my dad would call. I kind of have a shitty relationship with the old man and so he only calls me directly when it's something important or business-related.
I picked up my phone and tried calling him. it rang a few times before he answered.
"Good morning Dad ", I greeted him as I walked towards my office window. I had a great view of the city skyline from my office. I love the calming effect, which I need at the moment, having to deal with the tension that comes with a conversation with my dad especially with the morning incident still fresh in memory.
"Morning son", he answered "I have been trying to reach you... "
"Dad, what do you want?", I interrupted.
"Going straight to the point huh, I see you haven't changed a bit," he said with quite a bemused voice.
"Dad " I snapped using my hands to massage my aching jaw.
"Bring your voice down, boy," my dad said with authority in his voice.
"Now listen I want you to come over to the house. We have something important we need to discuss," he said sternly. The tone of his voice made it clear there was no room for any argument.
"Is it business related...or is it because of the Mikel brothers' lawsuit?" I questioned, a bit confused. "I've already handled it."
"No son, I and your mother have something important to discuss with you"
I went back to my chair and sat down.
"OK Dad," I said as the line went dead. I run my hands through my hair. What could the old man want to say that he'd want me to come to the manor? "It had better be good," I thought out loud finally as I buried myself in my work. I had enough paperwork to bring down a building.
~~~~

I checked the time; (4:46). I had already forgotten I had to go and see my father. I stood up and took my suit jacket, which I had taken off earlier, and my car keys and I made my way out of the building to my private parking area. I got inside my car and drove off to my father's house. The manor was a long drive, one of the reasons why I hate going home. It was in the countryside, in the middle of nowhere. I was bored by the time I got to the outskirts of the city.

As I drove past a crossing I was so absent-minded that I didn't notice a lady crossing. I almost ran over her. Fortunately, I stopped the car in time. I didn't have the mental fortitude to deal with another lawsuit tomorrow.

I stepped out and met her still screaming seriously.

"I didn't hit you, why do you have to be so dramatic? "

she is just desperately trying to make a scene.

"Stop being a drama queen," I said in an annoyed voice as I got closer to her. I have had enough dramatics today to last me a lifetime.

She stopped screaming immediately and looked at me with so much anger that her bright blue eyes seemed to be on fire. The eyes were a bit immersing for a quick second.

She seemed to notice me for the first time as she proceeded to scan me from my shoes till she held my gaze. The blaze in her eyes disappeared for a second but quickly returned.

"How. Dare. You. Say. That. To. Me." She said poking me after every word.

"You almost ran me over you fuck face," she said screaming.

"fuck face?!", I repeat amused getting closer to her as I gripped her hand in a bid to also put some fear in this one. She kicked me in my crotch before I even got the chance to start.

"what the fuck is wrong with you? Do you know who the fuck I am?" My vision was a bit blurry as I hung on to my unmentionables for dear life.

"I do, you're a fuck face," she said emphasizing the word "fuck face" with a smirk on her pretty face. She was satisfied with herself.

Hold up?! Did I just use the word pretty? Where the hell did that come from?

"That will teach you how to treat a lady, idiot.", she said walking away as she flipped me off.

I managed to get back in my car and drive off. I will admit she was pretty cute and a little different from all the women I have met before. I didn't even feel the need to deal with her.

No woman has ever done that to me. They quickly apologised even if I stepped on their faces.

Anyway, my pride took a shot and something had to be done about that.

" she's going to pay for doing that to me," I said to myself. I'll just have to figure out how.
