chapter 3

Lillian pov

"You are 15 minutes late Lilian," Aurora said as she walked up to me.

"And how is that your business, Lord of the times and seasons" I murmured.

"What did you say, "she asked smirking .

Oh how much I'd give I just wish to be able to wipe that smirk off her plastic face.

What!!! a girl can wish at least

"Why are you in my office again?"

"Ms. Lee wants all our designs to be submitted tomorrow," she said, not sounding convincing enough.

I saw a flash of emotion in her eyes for a moment. She had this weird tone  before she quickly covered it. I could tell she was lying but there wasn't something else there I couldn't put my finger on.

There was an awkward moment of silence before she spoke.

" I will take my leave now... ta ta."

"So...let me get this straight; you came all the way to my studio before I got here, sat in my favorite and only chair, just to tell me that?"

She turned around and smiled

"Awwn, it's no big deal. Besides I should probably be nicer to less unfortunate people, you know. Tata"

At least she was smart enough to close the door as quickly as she did: for my sake and hers.

What does she have up her sleeve this time?

All I could do was sigh. She's definitely up to no good but then I should probably leave the bitch and her usually futile schemes and focus more on mine; finishing my designs.

I got so busy with my designs that I forgot I had to leave early today.  It was 3:00pm already and I was supposed to have left an hour ago. I have to go grocery shopping today. I'd probably have a stroke if I had to gobble down UNCLE BOB'S take out for the fourth night in a row. I could definitely do pizza though, never gonna be tired of that. I could really use a home-cooked meal though. I packed up my bag and my materials. I was taking my materials with me cause I plan to finish the designs today even if it takes all night.

I was hurrying towards the elevator When I bumped into someone spilling all my stuff into the floor. "Oh Shit "

I exclaimed bending down to pick them up when I saw another hand trying to help me. I looked up and saw that it was Mark, our oldest intern and my friend.

He is handsome no doubt about that with his blonde hair and green eyes that you could get lost in.

"I'm so sorry Mark, my head feels like there's a wild hurricane in there", I said standing up.

"it's OK it was a long day I guess, "he said gesturing to my materials.

" you have no idea Mark" I replied smiling at him.

"I got to go mark see you tomorrow," I said walking into the elevator.

"Bye Lily" I heard him say as the elevator door closed.

I had to go home first to drop my materials and freshen up. I couldn't be more sarcastic if I said the day had been the best day of my life.

I quickly stopped the taxi. and told the taxi driver my home address. I definitely wasn't in the mood for the bus. In a few minutes we reached my apartment complex. I came down from the taxi and paid the driver.

I walk into the apartment complex as I was greeted by Roberto who was probably on his way out.

" cupcake you came back early today," he said. I smiled back

"yea Robert I had to go grocery shopping today,"

He studied me and saw me struggling to carry everything I was holding and furrowed his brow just a little bit

"Need any help," he said gesturing to my materials.

" It's ok Robert I can handle. You look like you're on your way out. bye Robert," I said rushing to the stairs.

"Bye cupcake" I hear him yell as he walked out of the building.

I got to my apartment floor and went to my door. I spent the next forever on a balancing act with all my materials and simultaneously getting my keys from my bag to unlock the door.

I went into my apartment locking the doors with my leg. I made my way to my room, dropping the materials on my reading table.

I immediately went to my bathroom to freshen up cause I didn't have a proper bath this morning.

I came out with my towel around me and another one around my hair. And for the second time today I have to pick out an outfit in a hurry.

I straighten my hair and put on a loose curl at the tip, I put on some lip gloss as I hate my lip been Chap. I put on my shoes.

I grab my pulse and make my way downstairs, I put my purse on the table as I went into the kitchen I opened the fridge and got some juice and some leftover pizza.

Vivi would be spending the night in her friend's place so I have the house all to my self, I finished eating and went to do the dishes. I make my way to the door.

I locked up the apartment and went out of the building, I decided to walk to the mall because it was not far from my apartment. I also like walking it helps me to relax.

I got to the mall and I went inside and bought all the things I need and a few toiletries, and also some underwear I also bought a few materials to design clothes for my self after shopping for hours I was so exhausted.

I make my way out of the mall. As I was already feeling so hungry, I could eat a full chicken and not be satisfied. I saw a Starbucks across the road. And I decided to eat there as I was about to cross the road a car came from nowhere and was about to hit me.

"Ahhhhhhh!!! I screamed, even when the car stopped I kept on screaming until I held a deep and sexy voice say, "stop been a drama queen I didn't hit you with my car"

seriously he could not even say sorry, I snapped my head to where the voice came from. I hitched in a breath. As I went closer to him he was beyond gorgeous.

he was like a God with that fine body and handsome face and shapely caved jaw, that was a total waste to his shitty personality.

That did not stop my anger. " How. Dare. You. Say. That. To. I poked him after every word when. you. almost .ran .me. over .you. fuck face. I said to him with anger.

"Fuck face "he repeats amused as he looked at me as if I had grown two heads. he came closer to me and held my hand in a tight grip, How could he, I can see my anger taking control.

I kneed him in his area, he immediately released my hand "what the hell is wrong with you to do you know who I am" he said holding his area as he groans in pain that serves him right I said to my self smirking.

I do you are a " fuck face" I said emphasizing the word fuck face still smirking hitting him again with my leg, "That will teach you how to treat a lady idiot"

I said to him before walking away it was already late so I decided to go home and order a pizza. The sexy stranger just ruins my day. What!! did I just said "sexy" what the hell am I thinking

I do not I said blocking my subconscious as I walked home.

I arrived home and got started on my designs, I had a shit day and I have to finish up my design this is going to be a long night and I need my bucket of coffee no,t a cup.
