Home Again, Home Again

Alpha's Little Mate

RHIANNON

I bounce slightly in the seat next to Isaac. I’m nervous and excited. The drive from the airport to the pack lands feels never-ending.

The doctors at the pack hospital in New Hampshire wouldn’t release us for two more days. Saying that we’ve been antsy to get home would be underselling it.

Beta Noah picked us up from the airport and I immediately like him. He seems like the ideal person to work with Isaac, like they are a perfect team of opposites that balance one another.

“Laren is probably waiting at the gate,” he laughs. “She’s anxious to get reacquainted with you so she can talk your ear off.”

I laugh, but Isaac gives me a look that makes me think he might not be exaggerating much.

When we finally pull up to a well-guarded gate after so much desert, my excitement grows.

I practically press my face against the glass as we drive through the pack land. I don’t want to miss a single detail. Everything is so modern and sleek.

“Isaac, this is beautiful,” I tell him quietly.

His chest swells with pride. We talked a lot about the pack while we were stuck in the hospital. It is very important to him, his position and his pack, and he takes his job seriously.

Taking the alpha position at such a young age has made him extremely cautious, but also extremely dedicated to maintaining a strong, healthy pack.

When the car pulls up to a roundabout driveway, Noah stops the car.

Madelyn is sitting behind me with a huge smile on her face. She gently touches my shoulder and says, “Welcome home, Luna.”

I rub my hands over my dress nervously. This is it.

Rhodes, Madelyn, and Noah wait in the car until Isaac steps around to let me out. They climb out behind us and we start to walk toward the contemporary looking pack house.

“Oh my God!!!” We hear her before we see her.

Isaac chuckles. “That would be Laren.”

A beautiful woman with a long mane of wild hair runs from the building. She takes two steps then stops dead, completely frozen, staring at us with wide eyes.

From behind us a low growl fills the air. We turn around as Rhodes steps around me, his eyes as wide as hers.

“Mate,” he whispers, and it’s like the spell is broken. Laren runs at full speed into his ready arms.

He wobbles slightly, still recovering from being stabbed through the heart, but he looks the happiest I’ve ever seen him.

A small smile pulls on Isaac’s lips as he pats him on the shoulder. “Welcome to the pack.”

I can’t hide the huge smile on my face.

Isaac takes me into the dining room, where everyone is waiting.

“It’s good to see your faces,” he smiles at them from his place at the head table. “As you’ve all been informed, your luna needs to be reintroduced to the pack.

“The threat is gone, we’re safe, and we’re home, for good. Over the next week, I will be taking things slowly, showing her around and getting her comfortable again.”

“We should have another luna celebration!” Laren yells out.

Isaac rolls his eyes, and several people laugh.

When we sit down to eat, I lean over to him to tease, “I remember what you told me about my last luna ceremony... maybe we should have another one.” I give him my best innocent smile.

His eyes darken as his hand finds my thigh. “We can take a tour of the supply closet right now, little mate, just say the word.”

I blush and focus on my plate.

For the rest of the agonizingly slow meal, he keeps his hand on my leg, inching higher throughout the evening.

By the time dessert is served, I’m feeling desperate. His hand rests softly on the top of my thigh, and he keeps dipping his pinky to rub across my panties.

Isaac suddenly stands and pulls me up with him. He holds my hand as we weave through the room, saying good night to pack members along the way.

He also made a quick introduction. I meet Isaac’s parents, Clayton and Celestine, and I immediately feel a warmth from them that I haven’t felt since I lost my own parents.

“You guys look like you need rest,” his father says, concern on his face.

I hug them both tightly before leaving with Isaac. I can’t wait to spend some more time with his family.

As we walk down a little path that leads to our house, I feel excited energy coursing through me.

Isaac chuckles beside me.

“Don’t tease! I’m excited to see where we live together.”

When we get to the door, he pushes it open, then pulls me into his arms, carrying me into the house.

I instantly start to look around, trying to see in the dark.

“I’ll give you a tour tomorrow,” he whispered against my ear. “For now, let me show you the best room in the house.”

The bedroom is beautiful. The large bed with crisp white sheets and downy blankets looks immediately inviting.

Before I can see anything else, Isaac’s desperate mouth is on mine, walking me toward the bed.

“Do you want to shower? Or take a bath, maybe?” he pants against my mouth.

A bath sounds good, but…

“Maybe a quick shower?” I can take a bath tomorrow. There are other, more pressing matters to attend to.

We strip carefully, avoiding bandages.

The warm water feels amazing, but we rush through the shower. We aren’t physically ready to have sex here, so we don’t want to waste too much time.

After drying off, we place clean, dry bandages on each other’s healing wounds. Isaac heals faster than I do; he almost doesn’t need a bandage anymore.

“All of this stuff takes forever,” he huffs, making me laugh. It really does suck the romance out of the situation.

“Well, we’re all done now,” I smile up at him.

He pulls out some pillows to put behind me, propping me up so that there isn’t pressure on my back.

He climbs over me, sinking his body down on top of mine.

“I’ve missed you, little mate,” he says against my lips as he grinds against me.

“I’ve missed you, too.”

He grinds against me again, his length rubbing against my wet folds. I gasp into his mouth, my body reacting to his like we’ve been apart for years.

“I wanted to take my time but…fuck, Annie. I can’t wait anymore.”

“Please, I want you, don’t take your time,” I beg, peppering sloppy kisses across his neck.

He pulls back to line himself up with my entrance. It’s only been twelve days but it feels like eternity.

As he sinks into me, he holds my gaze, pushing every inch into me agonizingly slow.

When his hips are pushed up against mine, his jaw clenches. Each thrust is slow, a deep, physical show of his love. My eyes burn as we watch each other, consumed by the closeness we both feel.

Quiet moans and whispers fill the room as he continues his slow-paced attack. Each thrust builds more pressure in my core.

His eyes pinch shut when I shudder beneath him, tightening around him.

The pressure is almost too much. The slow pace creates a slow tension that gives me enough time to feel everything.

My body shakes violently as I find my release. Isaac moves through it, prolonging it, causing the rippling pleasure to wash over me again and again.

“Rhiannon,” he chokes as he empties himself inside me.

He pulls me into his arms, resting my head on his chest. We start to slip into sleep, pressed together, clinging to one another in the dark.

As my consciousness fades, I barely hear him whisper into my hair, “Welcome home, baby.”
