Chapter 95: His Idea of Fun
Love Slave to the Mafia Boss's Passion
The next day just like we had agreed, Hayden took me âsomewhere funâ. It was a decently long drive before we got there. Hayden maintained his energetic and happy attitude from yesterday while I just couldnât get used to him being so bubbly happy. It just wasnât like him at allâ¦not that I hated this side of him.
I didnât know where he was taking me and I knew that he wouldnât tell me even if I asked, so I just sat in his car patiently and waited until we arrived. He mentioned that he wanted to go somewhere fun that would cheer up both of us. Honestly, I didnât see us having much in common in terms of interests and so I found it hard to think of a place that would cheer both of us up simultaneously.
When he mentioned that he knew a place that would cheer us up, I wasnât sure what he had in mind and what to expect. However, I surely never expected him to take me to a place like thisâ¦
I stood next to Hayden with my mouth hanging wide open as I stared at our destination which was now right in front of my face. Honestly, I donât remember the last time I came to a place like this, and I have never dreamt in my wildest dreams that I would come to a place like this with someone like Hayden. I glanced over at Haydenâs outstandingly excited face before looking back at our destination.
Likeâ¦seriously?!
âWelcome to Wonder Dream Landâ
This place is the biggest amusement part in the country. He canât be seriousâ¦
"Are you just going to stand there? Letâs goâ¦" Hayden said as he tugged on my hand.
"Okâ¦" I mumbled, still in shock.
Hayden held my hand tightly as he pulled me after him into the amusement park. He laughed a little at my shocked expression but didnât make any further comments. I looked around the large and very colorful amusement park in wonder. The place was a lot less crowded than I had expected but perhaps that was because we were here on a weekday.
There were some couples walking around as they enjoyed their sweet time together; however, it was clear that most of the people here were families with little kids.
"I donât remember the last time I came to a place like thisâ¦" I mumbled to myself as I looked at the very large rollercoaster in the distance.
"Me neither," Hayden replied softly.
"Ummâ¦since you decided to come here, is there something that you want to do?" I asked, feeling uncertain about how we should be spending our time.
I mean, Iâm not a very big fan of scary rides or anything like that. Plus, I havenât been to an amusement park in like forever, so I wasnât sure what weâre supposed to do besides just walking around.
"Actually, I have no ideaâ¦" Hayden said as we continued to walk around aimlessly through the main path of the park.
I guess he brought me here randomlyâ¦
"You knowâ¦I never expected that you would bring me to a place like thisâ¦" I admitted honestly.
"Arenât girls supposed to like these sorts of places?" Hayden asked as he turned to look pointedly at me.
"Iâm not so sure about thatâ¦" I replied frankly. I wouldnât count my opinion as the standard representation of a girlâs opinion.
"Maybe we should check the map that we got from the ticket boothâ¦" Hayden suggested.
Hayden opened up the pamphlet of the parkâs map and we both looked down at it to see what attractions they had. For a moment, it truly felt like we were a young couple on a date. It was a very unusual feeling to be here with Hayden and just spending a normal day together.
"Where do you want to go?" Hayden asked.
"Iâm not really into scary ridesâ¦" I replied, my eyes still on the map.
"What about the haunted house?" Hayden suggested enthusiastically.
"I just told you that Iâm not into scary rides!" I exclaimed.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"The haunted house isnât a rideâ¦" Hayden corrected.
"Butâ¦itâs scaryâ¦" I replied.
"Letâs go!" Hayden shouted happily, pulling me along with him.
"Hayden! Wait!" I cried out loudly, but it was already too late.
â¦
It was cold. It was darkâ¦and I felt scared out of my mind from the first moment that we entered. Hayden held my hand like always, but I was desperately clinging to his arm with my other hand as well. I heard Harden chuckling close to my ear as I refused to take a step forward.
"Malissaâ¦if you donât open your eyes, how are we supposed to walk forward?" Hayden asked with a light laugh.
"Iâll just follow youâ¦Iâm too scared to open my eyesâ¦" I replied, meaning every word.
Like seriously, something will pop out and scare me. Then Iâm going to scream loudly like a fool. I know that and so Iâm just going to keep my eyes shut. The wind was blowing and itâs so cold. The sound of the haunting wind was driving me crazy with fear. I knew that everything was fake but that didnât make me less scared at all.
I hugged Haydenâs arm to my chest tighter as I pressed my chest against his arm.
"Youâre so funny. Just open your eyes, thereâs nothing hereâ¦" Hayden said, sounding completely calm.
"Can we quickly walk so we can get out of here faster?" I asked, still refusing to open my eyes.
"Noâ¦I like the feel of your boobs pressing against my armâ¦" Hayden said with an amused laugh.
"Hayden!" I screamed. How can he make a joke like that now of all times?
Hayden didnât react to my sudden outburst, instead, I felt the warmth of his lips on mine. Did he just kiss me?
My eyes flew open in shock to see Haydenâs face very close to mine. I touched my lips with my fingertips, feeling the feel of his lingering kiss. He did kiss me...
"Haydenâ¦" I whispered.
"So, kissing you will get you to open your eyes. If you close your eyes, Iâll kiss you again and again," Hayden teased. He was enjoying himself too much for my liking.
"Thatâs so stupidâ¦" I muttered.
"Donât close your eyes. Letâs go," Hayden said.
