Caliana POV

Like the morning before, I woke up to the smell of citrus. I get out of bed and do my morning

routine, I have nothing much to do so I am just indoors. I'm sitting on the sofa next to the window

and reading a favorite book of mine, the stone bull. I smile as I read but my mind trails to the alpha,

why did he buy me if he hates me so much, and isn't it easy to reject me? Does he abhor me so

much that he can't do that and chose to punish me?

Not wanting to think about the alpha, I went to the shower. After the shower, I dried myself up and

slipped into a short, and wore a tank top since the weather is hot today. My stomach growled and I

went downstairs to have my breakfast. As I descended the stairs, I came face to face with the

brooding alpha. My breath hitched as his gaze roamed over me. This was the first time he looked at

me ever so gently and a flicker of desire appeared but it was gone just as fast as I saw it.

" Good morning, alpha.” I greeted timidly, casting my head down. He only nodded and moved past

me but our arms somehow managed to touch and sparks ignited over my body, he startled too

indicating he felt them. The raw desire to be with him overpowered me but I managed to control

myself and quickly got away. Reaching the kitchen, I find a man I had never seen before. He was

good-looking with black hair and brown eyes. He stood up and pushed his plate away,

" Luna!" He mused, approaching me as if we are friends. He was friendly despite his intimidating

muscular body.

"Hi," I said, smiling at the gentleman

" Hello, I'm Garret, a warrior, and the best chef," He said, I nodded and went to sit on the island.

Garret went to the stove and started making me breakfast as he talked throughout. He was just

praising himself for how good he is as a cook, he was making me smile and laugh with his jokes

" So, how old are you, Luna,”

"I'm twenty, and you?"

"Twenty-five," He answered. He put a plate full of sausages, eggs, and toast bread, there was so

much food on the tray for me.

"1 can't eat all this!” I chided and he laughs

" Of course, you are a wolf,”

I dug in and he joined me in eating, he was eating more of the sausages while I loved the blueberry

and toast bread.

“ So Luna, have you been to see the pack already?” He asks and I shook my head. After breakfast,

Garret wanted to take me around the pack and I agreed, he lived here but was away for a while to

train warriors in another pack. He goes to his room and changes his clothes.

“ Ready?” I nod and entered his black truck in the passager seat. He tells me more about the pack

and how much they are a united front but he didn’t have to remind me. This pack was the most

powerful and ruthless for miles and the reputation of their alpha makes it hard for anyone to even

attack them.

The pack was absolutely beautiful and neat, there was patrol everywhere who were uniforms and

even a police post.

"Is that the pack house?" I ask, pointing at the huge mansion in the center.

"Yes," It was grand and upper class, it put my former packhouse to shame. We went to the pack and

surprisingly, everyone was very welcoming and respectful to me. A few girls immediately surround

Garret, and he's smiling like he won a competition. I roll my eyes,

" Ladies, ladies, relax. Calm down and I'll be back. I'm just giving the luna a tour,”

" Okay, Garret,” They say in a chorus, blushing. It was like a fan club of his

" So you're like a big deal around here, huh,"

" Kinda, I'm a top fighter and I'm in a band. We are playing next week, you should come,”

" Really? Where?"

" Only the biggest local pub, yeah, we are a big deal around here,” He chuckles. Garret continues to

get me a tour of the packhouse and lastly, we reached the entertainment room.

" The packhouse is lovely," I say

" Oh, look who we have here," A sultry voice spoke from the doorway, and I spun around. I wasn't

pleased to see the girl who was all over my mate at my introduction ceremony. I wanted to smack

the smugness off her face.

"If it isn't the newly bought luna,” She teased and I scoffed, glaring at her.

"Is that her?" Another voice spoke, I didn't notice the two girls who were standing behind her, they

both looked like bullies and sluts with the small outfits they wore.

" Yes, the one he chose officially over me, Martha,” She spat.

" At least he still comes to you," She winked, and Candace faked a laugh. Does the alpha not fuck

her anymore.

" Hey listen, whore, how dare you to steal her man," The poisonous voice spoke, trying to intimidate

me but It wasn't going to happen.

" Her man, don't make me laugh ladies, first, Candace fucks anyone with power,” Chuckles Garret.

" Well, this is none of your business, and we are talking to the whore boyfriend snatcher!" Martha

shrieked, Garret approached her but I stopped him with my hand and took a step towards the three

women, my eyes were glowing and they stepped back, I know the type of women they are, low-

ranking lycans who got recognition by fucking men of power.

" Listen to me, ladies whose names I barely remember, stay the fuck away from me, and don't try to

intimidate because it's a losing battle. I AM YOUR LUNA and any insult from you will result in

punishment, am I clear?” I said slowly, they gasps and I grab their leader by her neck, squeezing her

throat and her eyes bulged out. The cruel alpha treats me like shit as it is and I refused to take any

more from his sluts.

"1 can't hear you," I ground out, gripping tightly, her friends are about to come at me but Garret

reaches them in a flash, grabbing their arms. A few people were already starting to gather around

and whisper. Candace was crying as she nodded vigorously, I released her and she fall to the

ground, crying.

" The alpha will hear of this," She sniffs. I moved passed her and left the room. Members

acknowledged me as I walked out and I smiled politely at them, even talking for a few seconds and

greeting the kids however, I was boiling in anger but I didn't show it. I was surprised when my eyes

met Marcus but he only nods at me and went his way with a few men.
