I stretched my limbs and got out of bed, the sun was bright and when I looked at the digital clock, it

said 8 am. After I took a shower and went downstairs, I was surprised to find Candace in the dining

room, eating breakfast with Marcus, Marcos, and my husband. My heart broke and I immediately

spun around before they saw me but I was unfortunate

" Luna!" The poisonous bitch called, I closed my eyes momentarily and opened them before turning

around. I didn't smile or pretend to be pleasant, I wanted to make it clear how much I hated her.

" Yes,” I said in a flat tone. She smiled

"I came to congratulate you on your new position.” She said cheerfully, what was she playing at

here?

" Weren't you supposed to do that yesterday?” She frowned and glanced at her lover who didn't

spare her a gaze.

“I'm sorry, I was jealous but what do you expect? I've been with the alpha for years and he dumps

me for you!”

“ Well, I'm sure he hates dumping you but it's life, we can't always have what we want however, take

comfort in the fact that you still have his heart. Enjoy your breakfast, “ I looked her up and down in

disgust before walking away.

“1 told you she still hates me,” Complained Candace. I clenched my fist in anger, I just wanted to

smack her in her stupid face.

I didn't let it show but having her there really hurt me, how can he allow her to eat at the same table

as me, and whore was sitting in my place, after what happened between us last night, I didn't expect

him to completely change but at least have some respect for me, and not entertain that slut in my

presence. I went to the kitchen to get an apple that I ate.

I lazed around the whole day, I was looking for Jamal earlier to ask what kind of duties I should be

doing but I was told he left for a long business trip.

I am in the room, talking to Levy, he's telling me about the places he and his mate will be going

when my door opens

“You have to get ready for dinner, Luna,”

“I'm not hungry, Juanita,” I said kindly.

“ Well, you are dining with Princess Arya of the Sapphire royal pack and her mate, Alpha Jacob

Jones. I'm afraid you can't miss it,” She informed me. I've heard of Princess Arya, rumor has it that

she is the strongest female lycan and is mated to her nemesis. I was panicking, I'd never been in the

presence of royalty before. What should I do?

" Princess Arya visits her cousins sometimes and she's lovely, no need to worry," Juanita said as if

reading my mind. I decided to get ready in time. We picked out a stunning black backless dress with

thin straps and wear heels. Catia let my hair cascade down my back and we did my makeup just how

I like it.

I went downstairs and found the alpha there, he was in pants and a dress shirt. He glanced at me

and asked;

“ Ready?” I nodded and we went outside to the car. The car ride was silent, the alpha was looking at

his phone while I looked out the window, the lights were mesmerizing to watch at night. The car

stopped at a high-class restaurant, and Alpha Edward helped me out.

The owner of the restaurant was there to welcome us and was pleased to have us. She took us to

another part of the restaurant and there we found a couple sitting closely and talking. They stood to

their feet.

" Edward!" Princess Arya called and hugged him.

" And you must be Caliana, oh my goddess, your picture didn't do justice,” She beamed and hugged

me.

" Edward, omg she’s gorgeous,” Alpha Edward only smirked at her and I wondered how close he

was to her.

Princess Arya was even prettier in person.

“ Hi Caliana, I'm Arya and this is my mate, Jacob,”

" Hello, it's nice to meet you Princess Arya, Alpha Jacob,” I politely said

“ Oh. no just call me Arya,” I nodded, Arya was jolly.

The chef interrupted us and asked what we were getting, and they all placed their order except me, I

didn't know what to get because I wasn't even hungry.

“I'll have a chicken salad,” I said. We all continue to talk, while the alphas talk about packs and

business, Arya and I have a little girly chat. She is twenty-three years old and has triplets, two boys

and a girl. She even showed me pictures, as all mothers do. She suddenly gasped, getting the men’s

attention to us, I furrow my eyebrows

“ What? Edward, you didn't mark her!” She exclaimed. My hand instinctively flies to my marking spot

on my neck, Alpha Edward didn't mark me because he doesn't want me and marking will take a

relationship to a higher level. We shall fully be one.

" Wait until someone steals her from you,” Alpha Jacob laughed and Arya agreed, a dark aura

exuded from the alpha and I shifted in my seat however, the two ignored it or were used to it as

they continue to tease the alpha about someone stealing me away. A growl erupted from my mate's

lips and I jumped

" Stop, Arya,” His voice was low but we heard.

" Fine, you're no fun," The lycan Princess sighed.

" And why didn't you send anything after the triplets were born? I told you about it,"

"1 sent a card and flowers, didn't you receive them?"

" That's not enough.” She said

" What was I supposed to send,”

"1 don't know... An actual present, you dummy,”

Our food came and we started to eat, there was harmony among us. We were laughing as Arya

talked about their mischiefs as kids. I dared a glance at my Alpha, he smiled at me and it warmed

my heart and soul, how I wished it was always like this between us but it isn't, hence I won't be

holding my breath. Tomorrow he shall be back to being as cold as he is.
