CHAPTER 3

Pon's POV

after work I decided to go to my best friend Garfield's house.

it was already 10 PM and he's just got out of his work as well so I decided to visit him and.. tell him my marriage.

I knocked on the door after I arrived and he quickly opened the door for me after 20 seconds of knocking non stop.

"what's up? arent you going home and getting your beauty sleep?" he joked as I chuckled going inside.

"i have to tell you something, don't freak out okay?"

I said as he nodded locking the door, sitting down on the couch as I sat down beside him.

I took a drink of the cold water that was in front of me that Garfield gave to me just now and I looked at him.

I took a breath.

what will he react?

will he be disappointed and leave me?

"i'm getting married with the CEO.."

he was about to scream but I stopped him and..

"because, you know about my situation with my parents giving me their damn debt that I have to pay in a year and a half? well I asked my boss to get a raise but.. he decided to offer me to get married to him so he wouldn't marry anyone his mother chooses and.. he'll pay the debt and he'll give me 60M baht more!" I said happily.

Garfield as looking at me with a poker and a blank face.

he looked serious, that was the first time, he would usually look at me with a disgusted face or maybe his eyes will furrow and then scream..

"what?!" Garfield screamed as I told him my situation of getting married to my boss.

the one and only CEO of the largest companies in Thailand and one of the richest in Thailand.

I was gonna be his sugar baby!

come to think of it, it was actually pretty crazy, and I'm lucky.

"are you being damn.. for real right now? you're lucky I'm not gonna hit you but congrats I guess, you will experience getting married to one of the richest CEOs in Thailand and you will be able to pay for the debt your parents gave you in under a year!" said Garfield.

"i know, it's amazing..! I.. I'm nervous though, it's my first time getting married."

I said as I looked at him while frowning.

"Well at least I got a new story to tell your babies when you have one, hmm.. I'll say that, Mommy Pon got married to one of the richest CEOs in Thailand.. isn't that cool to hear?" said Garfield as he laughed.

"ai'garfield! no! what the heck.. and I'm not getting a child now, I'm too young!" I said mumbling.

"the hell? you're already 24 years old, what do you mean young? you should've gotten married like 5 years ago but all you did was work for that CEO." said Garfield.

I rolled my eyes playfully and pouted as he did have a point, some of my friends from college do already have a family with a husband, wife and had kids already.

"you know it's not too late to have a baby with someone.. maybe.. the CEO!" he said as I quickly slapped him.

"hey!" he screamed.

"damn you! what the hell.. no way I'm having a baby with the CEO! no way! I can't.. even if I'm an omega I don't want to experience screaming until my baby comes out of me or getting a c-section, i respect all those mothers who do those especially my mom but I'm too scared." I mumbled while pouting.

"well suit yourself, I'm single by choice, you're single because you don't have a choice!" he said as he looked at me while raising his eyebrows.

"uhh! cause.. whatever.."

"everyone wants to marry that CEO, I wonder what your future husband will say if you got divorced with Sailub, that's a funny story." said Garfield, as I rolled my eyes.

"do you have Thai Basil? I'm hungry." I mumbled as I rubbed my tummy as it coincidentally rumbled loudly.

"is that a train or your hunger? well I can cook since Thai basil is easy to cook, do you want some egg with it too?" he asked.

I smiled while nodding as I got up taking off my suit and taking off my bow tie and leaving it on the couch while I walked over to the dining room happily.

"what if you teach me how to make Thai basil.. so maybe I could cook it for Sailub and maybe he'll give me even more money?"

I asked, I sounded like a damn gold-digger! I chuckled.

"your cooking.. sucks.. no offense, they always end up burnt or in the trash, the only thing you know how to cook is noodles." said Garfield.

he always gives me the harsh reality.

"hmph! that's why you'll teach me, idiot." I mumbled as he just scoffs and continues to cook.

as he was cooking, I smelled the basil, the fragrance was killing me, I wanted to devour it already.

after a couple more minutes, he served it to me while it was still hot and placed a sunny side up egg on the top of the rice.

"perfect! thank you khub!" I said as I took a sip of my drink first and then started eating slowly so I wouldn't choke.

"good thing you're my best friend, I'll go upstairs and I'll just go and take a shower, continue to eat and do you want to sleep here? you left a suit here and a bow tie here last week, you can use it, I washed it but I didn't have the chance to give it back to you." he said.

I took a second to think and nodded.

"alright, go take a shower and go to the guest room and sleep there." he said as I smiled nodding my head continued to devour my food.

he looked at me one last time and went upstairs to go shower and go to bed.

Garfield works hard and I know he's tired but he takes his last energy to make me food and take care of me.

I love that man so so much, I wish I could marry him but it's not possible because I don't have feelings for him and besides he's already my best friend, what more can I ask for?

I continued to eat and then I finished, I took one last drink of my water and sighed deeply, feeling full, I got up holding the plate and I went to wash the dishes.

after that I cleaned the kitchen. and then I went to go shower.

after I went upstairs to the guest room, I played with my phone for a bit and went to my beauty sleep.
