Chapter 111
Love After Divorce
Chapter 111:
RK left the locker room, which was now bustling with noise and excitement.
All the words being spoken were directed at Stella.
âI was wondering why the boss suddenly came into the womenâs locker room. Now I think⦠someone deliberately lured him in! But looking at them now, it seems like the boss didnât care!
He just told her to put her clothes on!â
âYeah! Youâre right! Some people think everyone is as shameless as they areâ¦â
âEnough⦠Arenât you done yet?â
After the people in the locker room had talked for a while, Stella couldnât take it anymore and finally interrupted their discussion.
âIf you want to criticize me, then⦠do it in front of the boss! Itâs a waste to just say it in front of me.
Whatâs more, maybe the boss will think youâre right and fire me,â Stella said. âIf you have any objections against me, go ahead, give it a tryâ¦â
It wasnât that Stella wasnât afraid. She just knew that no matter what, RK wasnât going to fire her. Why? Because he wouldnât let go of the chance to keep tormenting her that easily.
If he did fire her, sheâd gladly return to France. There would be no reason for her to stay in X City. Staying here felt like she was torturing herself!
Stella smiled wryly, put on her clothes, and left the locker room.
Behind her, she could still hear the annoyed voices.
âHmph! Sheâs so arrogant because she has someone supporting her from behind!â
âYouâre right. Sheâs only talking like that because she knows she has a powerful backer now!â
Stella walked out of the locker room, ignoring their words.

It wasnât the first time she had heard things like this. In the past, when she was part of the Richard family, she had heard these kinds of comments many times.
The only difference was that back then, the people saying such things had been replaced by another personâSophia Richard.
At that time, when Stella and RK got married, Sophia had told her all these things. She had used every possible means to try to break them apart!
In the beginning, Stella had hope for her marriage. But later⦠she slowly realized that RK only had one person in his heart, and that person was Sophia.
It was true in the past, and now, so many years later, it was still the same.
If it wasnât, why would he be marrying Sophia next month?
Stella left the locker room and walked back to her desk.
As soon as she sat down, she remembered that the position they had arranged for her in the secretarial office didnât seem right.
She raised her head and looked up.
Sure enough, there was a surveillance camera directly above her head, specially arranged to keep an eye on her. Even her seating arrangement had been carefully planned.
âStella, where did you go just now?â
As soon as Stella returned to the office, Cherry came running in, worried.
âI looked everywhere for you in the company and couldnât find you. I thought something had happened to you!â
âThen, when I went to the locker room to look for you, I heard all the employees talking about you. They were saying terrible things behind your back!â
Cherry couldnât help but complain unhappily.
Stella tied up her bag and said, âI was just changing my clothes in the locker room. Whatâs wrong? Why were you looking for me?â
âArenât we going to the Starlight nightclub tonight to find Andrew Matthews? Thatâs why I was looking for you!â
Cherry still had thoughts of what she had overheard. She continued, âJust now, when I passed by the locker room, I heard people inside saying you were trying to seduce the boss!
They also said you took off your clothes in front of him⦠Is that true?â
Cherry asked the last question cautiously, as if afraid of saying something wrong.
It seemed like she was scared that anything she said might hurt Stella.
Stella shook her head and replied, âNo.â
In fact, she didnât want to explain much to Cherry. After all, Cherry was still young, just a girl who had graduated from college a year ago. Stella didnât want to drag her into the complex and messy office politics.
Cherry could only gain experience little by little in the future. Stella didnât want to cause her to lose her innocence because of the situation.
Seeing that Stella didnât want to talk about it, Cherry didnât press further.
However, she was still worried that Stella might feel bad after hearing what people were saying about her.
Cherry said, âStella, letâs go quickly! Otherwise, once theyâre done changing and come back, weâll run into them again.â
Stella smiled and followed her.
Maybe, no matter what, encountering such things was inevitable.
Some people were simply like that. When they saw someone else living a good life, they couldnât stand it. As for Stella⦠in everyoneâs eyes, she was just someone trying to get into RKâs good graces.
