Chapter 125
Love After Divorce
Chapter 125:
Emily sighed heavily and said, âIn my opinion, the relationship between the two of you seems bound to get complicated.â After that, she returned to her room, leaving Stella alone with her thoughts.
Stella didnât say anything and continued preparing breakfast for Adrian. Once he finished washing up, she packed his things and got ready to take him to kindergarten.
Before they left, Stella noticed her precious son sitting cross-legged on the floor, stuffing toys into his small school bag. The bag was already filled with toys.
âAdrian, why are you bringing so many toys to school? You need to pay attention in class! Leave them here and play with them when you come back,â Stella said, quickly stopping him.
âBut I donât want to!â Adrian whined. âI want to show my classmates! This racing car, this robot, this figureâ¦
Everyone in my class wants to see them!â
âDarling, Iâve almost packed them all!â Adrian said, continuing to shove toys into his bag.
The problem was that his small bag had limited space, and Tristan had given him so many toys that he couldnât decide which ones to bring.
Stella hurried over, taking out the toys one by one. âAdrian, you canât bring so many toys to school. At most, youâre allowed to take one. Choose one, and leave the rest here.â
Adrian sat on the floor, looking at the toys in his hand, then at the ones in his bag, and finally at Stella. His big blue eyes were pleading, as if silently asking her to let him take more.
Stella avoided his gaze, trying not to give in, and emptied the bag of all the toys. âWe agreed, only one toy. So, which one do you want to take?â
The toys were scattered across the floor, and Adrian looked around before pointing at one. âI want to take this robot. Uncle Tristan played with me using this one!â
Stella was speechless.

The bond between Adrian and Tristan had grown so strong in such a short time. They had only gone to the amusement park together, but their relationship seemed closer than ever.
Why didnât Adrian show the same excitement for the toys she had given him over the years?
Was it because her gifts werenât as fancy as Tristanâs? Feeling a pang of jealousy, Stella placed the robot in Adrianâs bag.
It was clear nowâselling these toys wasnât an option. If she did, it wouldnât be Tristan who got upset, but her precious son.
For now, she decided to repay Tristanâs kindness in some other way.
At the kindergarten, Adrian held onto his robot tightly with one hand, while Stella held his other hand, leading him to the school gate. All the way there, he stared at the toy, completely absorbed.
âAdrian, when youâre in class, you need to focus. Donât keep looking at your toy, okay?â Stella said gently.
âIf your teacher calls me and says you werenât paying attention, I wonât let you take toys to school anymore. Do you understand?â
Adrian responded faintly, âAlright,â but his eyes never left the robot in his hand. Stella could only sigh as she held his chubby hand, feeling a bit helpless.
Was letting Adrian get close to Tristan the right decision? It seemed like her son liked that man more than she realized.
As they walked, Adrian suddenly spoke up, still focused on his robot. âDarling, can I play with Uncle Tristan after school today? I want him to take me to the amusement park again!â
Stella refused without hesitation. âNo, Adrian. If you want to go, Iâll take you. But Uncle Tristan is very busy.â
If she let Adrian spend too much time with Tristan, she worried about what could happen in the future.
Adrian pouted, clearly upset. It was as if Stella had come between him and Tristan, disrupting their bond. âDarling, youâre being mean! Uncle Tristan told me heâd always come and play with me whenever I wanted.â
He held his robot close, as though by looking at it, he could see Tristanâs face. Stella shook her head, feeling torn. Was it good for Adrian to be so attached to Tristan? She didnât want her son to rely so much on someone else for the affection he needed.
Watching Adrianâs longing for Tristan only reinforced one thing: she had to find a father for him, someone who could give him the love and support she couldnât provide alone.
