Chapter 681
Love After Divorce
Chapter 681:
Early in the morning, RK took Stella to the doctor for a checkup.
Stella held the reports in her hands, surprised, not knowing how to express how she felt. She looked at RK, but couldnât find the right words.
âStellaâ¦â RK took her in his arms, worried. Although he wanted to know if Stella was pregnant, his heart was filled with uncertainty when he saw her expression.
âReneâ¦â Stella didnât know how to communicate her feelings. She hadnât expected him to be so worried if she was pregnant.
âMmmâ¦â RK hugged her tighter, stroking her back and then pulling her apart a little to stare at her.
âEstela, it doesnât matter. If youâre not pregnant now, weâll have one in the future.â RK figured Stella wasnât expecting a baby and that her tiredness was just from exhaustion.
âHuh?â Stella didnât understand RKâs words at first. Then, realizing what he had said, she covered her mouth and smiled, surprised.
RK looked at her, confused by her reaction. He didnât understand what was going on.
âSilly, Iâve been pregnant for two months,â Stella said, smiling as she gently pinched his arm.
âReally?â RK couldnât believe his ears. His gaze was filled with disbelief.
âYes, I asked the doctor. The doctor said itâs completely normal to feel tired and that I need more exercise,â Stella explained, still with a smile on her face.
âAm I going to be a father again?â RK couldnât believe that he would soon be a father again.
âYes,â Stella nodded firmly, looking at RK with a serious and sincere expression.
âTo be honest, itâs a relief. Iâm just sleepy, and I havenât felt nauseous, which is a comfort. If I wasnât, Iâd probably be suffering a lot more,â Stella confessed. This time she felt only tiredness, which surprised her since she was much more affected last time.
RK carefully lifted her up, his face glowing with excitement and awe.

âPut me down,â Stella said, patting him gently on the shoulder. She was a little embarrassed, noticing the people in the aisles. Her face flushed.
RK gently set her down, took her hand and they left the office.
He drove with extreme caution, fearing that any distraction might frighten Stella.
Stella watched RKâs beaming expression, saying nothing. She knew he was immensely happy, though she couldnât find the words to express it.
As she looked at her belly, Stella thought that if it hadnât been for Mrs. Kingston, she probably wouldnât have discovered her pregnancy until her belly began to grow.
RK didnât stop smiling the entire ride home. Even when they got home, the smile on her face didnât fade.
âRene, how is it, is everything okay?â Mrs. Kingston asked as soon as they walked in.
âYes,â Stella replied with a smile, looking at RK, who was still wearing her shocked expression.
âI told you! Come on, donât just stand there,â Mrs. Kingston urged them inside, worried about the cool wind.
The family gathered in the living room, all waiting for news.
When they saw the smile on RKâs face, they knew the answer before he said a word.
Ruben looked at RK, realizing that this time he seemed more mature, more stable.
âHoney, do I have another sister?â Adrian got up from the couch, ran over to Stella and asked eagerly.
Stella nodded, and Adrian smiled broadly.
âI have two younger sisters!â Adrian hugged Stella and kissed her excitedly.
âStella, are you tired, do you want to go upstairs and get some rest?â Mrs. Kingston asked with a smile, seeing that Stella looked a little exhausted.
Stella nodded, feeling tired from the excitement of the day.
Seeing that Stella had agreed, RK gently picked her up and carried her upstairs.
âEmily, do you want to rest too?â Mrs. Kingston looked at Emily, concerned for her well-being.
âThatâs fine. I donât feel tired,â Emily replied, shaking her head. She felt no discomfort, and the baby was only two weeks old. There were no symptoms, so she felt perfectly fine.
âIâm going to the kitchen to make soup for you and Stella. I need to make up for it,â Mrs. Kingston said as she got up to go to the kitchen.
Emily looked at Reuben, but didnât want to be rude. Even though the pregnancy was early, she would accept the soup.
Ruben hugged her without saying anything, understanding that even if she didnât want it, it was necessary for the baby to grow up healthy and strong.
â¦
âYou can sleep for a while,â RK said softly as he laid Stella on the bed, placing his hand on her belly tenderly.
âSilly, itâs only been two months,â Stella couldnât help but smile at how careful RK was, even though she knew he was taking every detail very seriously.
âIâll stay by your side every day, waiting for the birth of our daughter,â RK whispered, determined to be with her every step of the way.
Stella nodded, relaxing in RKâs arms, and soon fell asleep.
RK looked down at her sleeping face with a look of pure adoration. One hand rested on her belly, the other gently caressing her face. And there he lay, watching her, happy that his life was about to change once again.
