Chapter 689
Love After Divorce
Chapter 689:.
Shortly after Stella and the others finished breakfast, someone came to the house.
âDamien, do you still remember how to find us? I thought you forgot about us,â Emily said, quickly getting up when she saw the approaching person.
Stella got up too, but she wasnât as excited as Emily. She walked over to Damien with a quiet smile.
âStella, sister Emily, long time no see!â Damien said, and seeing them, he hugged them tightly. The corners of his eyes were slightly moist.
Ruben narrowed his eyes, watching as Damien hugged Emily. His expression hardened, and he couldnât help but feel uncomfortable.
RK didnât pay much attention to the situation. Although he didnât like Damien hugging Stella, he knew it was a moment of reunion and watched calmly.
Adrian, for his part, watched Damien curiously. He hadnât expected Stella to have friends other than Emily.
Damien, with a smile, turned to RK and Ruben, squeezing Stella and Emily a little tighter in his arms.
Ruben couldnât take it anymore. He walked toward them and, without hesitation, pulled Damien away from Emily and hugged her himself.
Wayne, who was watching the scene from the doorway, raised an eyebrow. He had heard about Stella and Emily from Damien, but had never met them in person.
âYouâre Damien Roy,â Ruben said, squinting, looking askance at Damien. He couldnât remember if he had ever seen him before.
âYes,â Damien replied with a smile, looking at Ruben.
âHuh!â Ruben walked over to the couch with Emily in his arms, as a clear gesture that Emily was his. He didnât care what relationship might have existed between Damien and her in the past.
âJust like before,â Damien murmured as he put his hand on Stellaâs shoulder, walking toward the couch, oblivious to Wayne following him.
âWe met before?â Ruben looked at Damien, confused by his attitude and words.

âAre you Stellaâs son? Whatâs your name?â Damien asked, touching Adrianâs hair and looking at him with interest.
âMy name is Ryan Kingston. You can call me Adrian,â Adrian replied with a smile, feeling sympathy for Damien. He had always appreciated the people Stella considered important.
âAdrian, good name. You can call me Uncle Damien,â Damien replied delightedly, giving Adrian a kiss on the cheek.
Unnoticed, Wayne, who was standing in the doorway, watched with his face growing darker and darker.
RK nodded toward Wayne, who was still standing in the doorway, but said nothing. Instead, he lifted Stella in his arms and watched the scene silently.
âHey, are you ignoring me?â Ruben said, feeling frustrated. He looked at Damien with the intention of confronting him.
âI can hear you, donât yell so loud,â Damien replied nonchalantly, rubbing his ears and looking at Ruben with disdain.
Ruben was about to speak, but Emily stopped him. She didnât want the situation to become more awkward than it already was. She didnât know Damien too well, but she knew there was something about his attitude that she didnât like.
âWell, donât stir up any more trouble. Damien, why did you come back all of a sudden?â Stella asked, looking at Damien curiously. She was happy to see him, but wondered what had motivated him to come back.
âWayne brought me back. Huh? Whereâs Wayne?â Damien looked around, searching for Wayne, who had not yet approached.
âWayne, why are you still standing there, donât you get tired?â Damien asked, looking at Wayne curiously.
Wayne, his expression darker than ever, finally got up, walked over to Damien and sat down next to him.
âYou little prick,â Wayne muttered as he smacked him upside the head. It seemed his patience was wearing thin.
âThe more you hit my head, the more of an idiot Iâll become,â Damien replied, covering his head with his hands and looking at Wayne with annoyance, as he didnât fully understand what was going on.
âLook at you, youâre living right now. No wonder you forgot about Stella and me,â Emily commented with a wry smile, looking at both Damien and Wayne. She hadnât expected them to be together like that.
âI didnât forget them,â Damien quickly replied, but didnât explain why he hadnât been in touch with them for so long.
Stella looked at Emily and then at Wayne and Damien, not sure what Emily was referring to. What was clear was that it wasnât about what it seemed at first glance.
Ruben had been watching Damien the whole time. Although he looked familiar, he couldnât remember where he had seen him before.
He realized that he had never met Wayne. If he had, he wouldnât have forgotten him so easily. But Damien, he had definitely seen before.
He had no animosity toward Damien, but now that Stella and he had become so close, Reuben couldnât help but feel a little jealous.
Adrian and Seventeen, who were chatting in the corner, watched the scene curiously, but knew better not to intervene for now.
âSister Emily, when did your taste become so bad that you fell in love with him?â Damien said, pointing to Reuben and referring to Emilyâs relationship with him. He couldnât help but feel some annoyance at how Stella and Emily had married the Kingston brothers .
