Chapter 21

I got up early as usual and went straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth my eyes still droopy because skylar kept me up late until she retired to the guest room she calls her room because according to her Xavier doesn't have guest that sleeps over except her so the guest room is basically hers.

I walked down on a different stairs in a different part of the house from the one in my father's house.

I usually come down the stairs whenever I hear sound from the kitchen or living room everyday cause that the only time I actually get to see him then we make eye contact while he's drinking his coffee.

I always greet him 'good morning' but he never replied but that didn't stop me we never have a proper conversation but at least I still see him without Jasmine leaching around, the cycle continues over and over until I stopped and got tired realizing it'll never be the same again.

When I got to the last stairs where I could see the kitchen clearly and I had to rub my eye t o make sure it wasn't still droopy and I wasn't seeing things

Then I heard foot steps behind me but I just couldn't take my eyes off the yummy guy not too far away from me

'Sooooo predictably' I heard skylar mutter behind me looking at the same thing I was just before I realize he was not only shirtless but he was also...........cooking!!!!!

"You guys seem close."

"Yeah, we're really close he's like my best friend before he's my brother before he's my cousin, i was just six when my parent died, mum and dad took me in and took care of me, we've been very close since then and  I'd force him to play with me everyday he was a very sweet Person."

"That shocking."i said dramatically

She laughed a little and adjusted herself on my on my bed still hugging one of my pillow but I was hugging the smaller one as we both sat on my bed, leg folded in our night gown

"He's cold to most peop-"

"That an understatement."

"Shush let me finish, but he's kind to his family and people he thinks he can trust when he does something bad for me and I give him a cold shoulder he then cooks for me and then apologize"

My eyes almost fell out

"he can cook."

"Oh no no no no no, that came out wrong the only thing that man can cook is noodles, other things-" she took a dramatic sigh and rolled her eyes "I don't know how he messes it up that man can't make a sandwich to save his life."

"Why did he only learn how to make noodles."

She chuckled a bit

"he didn't literally learn it it just....." She trailed off a bit thinking of where to start

"okay, there was a day mum and dad went on a business trip and left us with a babysitter a very lazy babysitter that is and as a young child I had ulcer, at first I was just been dramatic when I started crying for food that day but it got to a point my stomach started paining me Xavier kept shouting at her to cook for us but she said things like 'go away you're disturbing my sleep' ,' eat  cereals you spoilt brat 'or she'll just totally ignore us, we could not call mum and dad cause she won't let us so Xavier decided to cook for me, he tried the pancake and read the instructions on it but he made it watery." she laughed a little remembering it

"But he went ahead anyways when he tried to fry it and he added too much oil and it just didn't form but he kept acting as if he knew what he was doing then he said 'lets leave it for a while and see if I'll do okay? do you  wanna go to the garden' she mocked in his voice and we laughed so hard I think I might have peed on myself

I laughed mostly because I knew what happens next.

"Then it got burnt? " i asked after my laughter reduced.

"Burnt? Burnt is an understatement everything turned black including the pans, fire coming out of the pan, he tried using the fire extinguisher but he didn't  know how to use it and out of panic he poured water on it, he was almost crying, that day it wasn't funny cause i was really in pain.

He finally settled for noodles and after it was done I came out with too much water you could barely see any noodles just from the look of it, it was soft and soggy but I ate it anyways and told him it is the most delicious thing I ever tasted and he just laughed knowing I was lying but since then he always cook noodles for me whenever he offends me then he got better and it actually the most delicious food you'll ever taste so get ready as tomorrow you'll taste heaven." She chuckled

"I'm sorry for talking to much I'm just overwhelmed."

"No!!!." I almost shouted cause I really liked her company "it's fine, I like it, there's only little to do around here."

"Really."

"Yeah but how are you so sure that he'll cook tomorrow you know I-"

"Oh I know he'll cook the only thing that boy understands is when you give him a cold shoulder" she winked at me and I laughed

We fall into a comfortable silence and skylar was about to leave for her room when I asked;

"What happened to the babysitter."

"oh" she smirks exactly how I see Xavier do it.     "I don't know, when mom and dad came back they were very furious the kitchen was covered in white powers and oil and everywhere was stained  but Xavier told me she's probably somewhere on the street."

She gave an evil smile

And said "Good night sister-in- law" before closing the door to my room

That's a lot to take in but she's really nice and beautiful do when she told me she was a model I wasn't really surprised heck I thought the whole family was a model.

(Not really a flashback, me just being nice giving a little of what happened last night)

NOW THE STORY CONTINUES

LIKE cooking I should not be this surprised but I am he looks so concentrated and precise.

Skylar made an entrance and he notices us

"Good morning ladies" was his voice always this deep or it just me.

*cough cough*

"Good morning chef." skylar smiled at him

wait did I miss something weren't they fighting yesterday or no wasn't she fighting with him yesterday

I mutter a soft 'good morning' almost not audible because tf we've not been on talking terms since I came to this house, but I know he heard cause me looked at me and smiled a little and I just froze as we kept the eye contact, his smile is so beautiful even though it was not a full blown smile it was still beautiful.

*Hmm hmm* skylar coughed and I internally  rolled my eyes at her

Skylar why why whhhhhhy

"Mister chef your food is burning."

He turned quickly and mutter cuss words and we chuckled, skylar dragged me to the dining room where we settled down and waited for Xavier, I would have totally helped buuuuuuuuut I wasn't the one trying to apologize

so yeah totally not because I'm lazy

He started serving the food and it was like it was never ending, I thought skylar said he could only cook noodles,  there was chicken nuggets, smoothies, milkshake, pancakes just name it when I thought it was finally done he brought the most exquisite looking pot of noodles and let me tell you did it smell delicious I could almost taste it and  my mouth was watering.

"And that what I was waiting for the only thing on this table you cooked by yourself."

"A thank you would have been better you know" he said as he removed his apron giving me a more delicious view than the food in front of me

"For what exactly, I didn't ask you to do this."

"Skylar"

'Don't skylar me, Not this time buddy I need your words."

He took a deep sigh and he look as if he's gathering my his words

"Okay I'm sorry for not inviting you to the wedding i-"

"Inviting?" She scoffed   "You still don't get what this is about do you?"

"Just shut up and let me talk"

"Wow, what a way to start an apology ."

"I'm sorry okay, I know how we- well you talk about my wedding for one goddammed reason but that not the point I should told you of all people so I apologize little one but if it makes you feel better we can arrange another small one just so you'll attend." he offered a small smile

Skylar eyes shone in amazement while mine widen in shock

"Really? "

"No.•_•

Skylar rolled her eyes and I chuckled

"Can I at least get the pictures? "

"I don't have them, only mum has them now stop talking and let eat."

"I didn't say I forgive you."

"Skylar."

"Xaaaaaaavier"

He glared at her and she finally gave in

"Fine I forgive your sorry ass since you humbly asked my good servant but before we eat you are going to have to put on a shirt."

I wouldn't lie when she mentioned his ass my mind went there.

"Why."

"It is....*cough*cough* affecting some people in the world." she said and I could immediately feel myself turning  red

He looked at me chuckled and went upstairs but I still tried to take a good look at his muscular back before he was out of view

Then I poked at skylar who was already smiling at me

"Skylar." I whisper-yelled at her in a warning tone giving her the i-know-what-you're-doing look

"What" she whispered back giving me the i-know-you-know-what-i'm-doing smile.

I glared at her and she laughed

"You guys will make such a cute couple and give me cute nieces and nephews" she giggled.

I rolled my eyes and ignored her, digging into the now only delicious sight in front of me

Food

Xavier came back and breakfast went nice and smooth with skylar and Xavier bickering

Skylar was about to leave for mom and dad's mansion and i was escorting her to the door, she said she  want to collect the wedding pictures and also spend time with them.

I asked her to send it to me so we also exchanged numbers

As we were in our way downstairs her phone binged notifications and she she smiles as if knowing who it is

Oooooohooh

"Who is the lucky guy." I teased.

Her smile drops and She did her usual dramatic sigh

She look around making sure Xavier is not there

And she said

"I'll tell you when I come back I promise."

And she left me to this house  all by myself, doing nothing and Xavier is probably in his room working his beautiful ass off as usual.

And with that I concluded that now is the perfect time for a tour around this house.

There is no time like now; whichever literary ass said that

I know it been a while sorry y'all and I really appreciate y'all being patient with me.
