All the evils had ended with Anant Sethi but there was still something which was left to be met. That was the distance in everyone's hearts. Some hearts which were broken were left to be joined, some hearts which were incomplete were left to be completed, some were waiting for someone and some were waiting for someone's confession. Some were waiting for an opportunity and some were waiting for their punishment........
Mumbai....
Dadaji had been discharged from the hospital and he had returned home. Today, Dadaji was eagerly awaiting everyone's arrival from Kolkata. Alok was bringing Rishabh and the others to Mumbai today.
After two days of observation, Rishabh had also been discharged from the hospital. Dadaji was in his room with Ajay, Sanjay, and Shalini.
Shobha, Surekha, Preeti, Riya, Shanaya, Dai Maa, Archana, and Prafull were in the hall.
Just then, many cars stopped outside Shergill Mansion. Hearing the cars stop, everyone smiled, and their eyes sparkled as they quickly gathered near the door.
They saw Rishabh in a wheelchair, with Alok pushing it from behind. Anokhi was holding Rishabh's hand and walking beside him, with everyone else following them.
As soon as Shobha saw Rishabh, she embraced him and kissed his forehead, saying, "Are you okay? What have you done to yourself?"
"Mom, Iâm perfectly fine," Rishabh said with a smile. Meanwhile, Anokhi saw Archana in front of her and hugged her tightly. Archana also embraced her and kept kissing her forehead repeatedly.
Holding her face with teary eyes, Archana said, "For a moment, it felt like I lost you even after finding you, and that too for the second time. But thank God, you're standing here safe and sound in front of me. If I had lost you this time, I might not have survived." Saying this, she hugged Anokhi again and smiled at Rishabh, who was sitting in the wheelchair, saying, "Thank you, beta."
Rishabh also smiled and lowered his eyes. After separating from Archana, Anokhi hugged Shobha, who had been watching her and was waiting for her to come over.
Shobha kissed her forehead and said a little sternly, "Donât you dare leave home after today. Iâm serious, your maa would slap you if you left me."
"Sorry, Maa," Anokhi said with teary eyes. Just then, Riya handed Shobha the Aarti plate and said, "Maa, are you going to shower all your love and say everything to your children here at the door? At least let them come inside."
Everyone smiled at her remark, and Shobha took the Aarti plate from her hand with a smile. While Shobha was performing the Aarti, Omkarâs eyes were on Riya.
She was glancing at him and then quickly looking away. Omkar couldnât understand why Riya was behaving this way.
Then everyone came inside. When Rishabh didnât see Ajay, Dadaji, Sanjay, or Shalini, he asked Shobha, "Mom, whereâs Dadaji?"
No one had told Rishabh and Anokhi about Dadajiâs heart attack until now. Shobha was about to say something when Dadaji entered slowly, supported by Ajay and Sanjay. Seeing him like this, Rishabh and Anokhi were shocked.
Anokhi quickly came over to Dadaji and asked, "Dadaji, what happened to you?"
Ajay and Sanjay gently sat Dadaji on the sofa. Shobha said to him, "Papa, there was no need for you to come out. I was about to bring Rishabh and Anokhi inside."
Alok wheeled Rishabh over to Dadaji, and Anokhi sat next to him. Dadaji placed his hands on their cheeks and, getting emotional, said, "Iâm fine now that my children have come home safely. Seeing them safe and sound will only make me better."
"But what happened?" Rishabh asked, looking at Alok, his voice firm, signaling that he wanted to know the whole truth.
Alok then told him about Dadajiâs heart attack. Hearing this, Anokhiâs eyes filled with tears. From Rishabhâs eyes, it was clear that he was also getting emotional.
Holding Dadajiâs hand, Anokhi said in a choked voice, "Iâm sorry, Dadaji. Itâs all my fault, everything happened because of me. If I hadnât left home without telling anyone, Rishabh ji wouldnât have come after me, Anant Sethi wouldnât have taken me away, Rishabh jiâs life wouldnât have been in danger, and you wouldnât have had a heart attack."
Dadaji placed his hand on her cheek and said, "Not at all, Anokhi. You need to stop blaming yourself for every situation. Youâre not responsible for anyoneânot for what happened to Archana, not for what happened to Rishabh, and certainly not for me. So if you love your Dadaji even a little, never blame yourself for anything again. Youâre not the cause of anyoneâs mistakes or sorrows, youâre the sun in our lives, bringing light and happiness into all our lives."
Hearing Dadaji's words, Anokhi's eyes filled with tears. She hugged Dadaji tightly and said, "No, Dadaji, I love you so much. I will follow everything you say."
Smiling, Dadaji placed his hand on her head.
Rishabh approached Archana and said, "Everyone has been punished for their actions. I was wronged, and I received my punishment. But unknowingly, I also wronged you. You should punish me too. But whatever the punishment, please don't keep me away from Anokhi because I can't bear that. Not in this lifetime, nor in the next seven. So, I am ready to accept any punishment."
Everyone started looking at him. Archana said, "Alright, if you're ready to accept any punishment from me, then I'll definitely give you one."
As soon as she said this, Anokhi separated from Dadaji and looked at her mother, fear creeping into her heart. She couldn't predict what punishment Archana would give to Rishabh, and she knew she couldn't stop her mother, knowing how much pain she had suffered.
Archana looked at Rishabh and said, "Your punishment is that for the rest of your life, you must keep the smile on my daughter's lips. Remember, her smile should never fade, or else I will take her away, and you wonât be able to stop me."
Hearing Archana's words, everyone smiled. Rishabh, smiling, promised, "Her smile will never fade and this is the promise of Rishabh Shergill."
Just then, Shobha noticed a woman standing in the far corner of the hall. Seeing her, Shobha asked, "Who is she?" Hearing this, Shweta, who had been standing silently with her head down, listening to shobha, finally lifted her face and revealed herself.
Seeing Shweta, everyone gasped in shock, saying, "Swati!" At that moment, Anokhi walked over to Shweta, held her hand, and brought her closer to everyone, saying, "Maa, she is not Swati Di, but her sister Shweta."
"What? How?!" everyone exclaimed in surprise. Everyone believed that Swati's sister had passed away. Anokhi then explained everythingâhow she encountered Shweta at Rang Mahal, and with the help of Meena Rani and Minal, she defeated those men.
After hearing Anokhi's explanation, everyone felt deeply sorry for Shweta. Shobha lovingly placed her hand on Shweta's head and said, "Thank you, dear, to you and your friends for helping my Anu."
Shweta softly replied, "No, Aunty, we didn't help her, she helped us. And I've come here to meet my sister and my son. Where are they?"
Shweta's eyes turned to Anokhi as she asked this question. It was Anokhi who had brought Shweta to Mumbai and promised to reunite her with Swati and Shwet.
Anokhi said, "I called Swati Di on the way, she should be here any moment."
Outside Shergill Mansion, Bharati's car stopped, and Bharati and Ruhi stepped out. As they got out of the car, Ruhi noticed Swati walking towards the mansion.
Seeing Swati's face, Ruhi thought, "This girl looks familiar. Where have I seen her before?"
"Ruhi, why did you stop? Let's go!" Bharati said, snapping Ruhi out of her thoughts. Ruhi shook off her confusion and walked with Bharati. Swati hurried inside the mansion. Ever since Anokhi had told her over the phone that her sister was alive and that she was bringing her to Mumbai, Swati hadn't had a moment's peace.
As soon as Swati entered the hall, her steps halted. Seeing her sister, whom she had believed dead for so many years, standing alive in front of her, tears welled up in her eyes, and she whispered, "Shweta!"
Hearing Swatiâs voice, everyone turned to look at her. Shweta also saw Swati and then looked at Shwet, who was holding her hand and silently observing her.
Swati quickly released Shwet's hand, ran to Shweta, and hugged her tightly. Shweta embraced her just as firmly and broke into tears.
"Where were you? Where were you? If you were alive, why didnât you come back to us? Do you have any idea how we spent these years without you? Forget me, at least come back for your child. Why didnât you come, Shweta? Why didnât you come? Every moment, every single moment, I cursed myself, thinking why couldnât I save you."
These words clearly express Swati's deep pain. Swati blames herself for losing her sister and curses her inability to save her.
Swati, still holding onto Shweta, spoke her heart out. She didnât care who was around or who was listening. Just seeing her sister alive after so many years overwhelmed her with emotions. Meanwhile, Shweta continued to cry, unable to utter a single word.
Swati wiped her tears and then, wiping Shweta's tears, said, "No, Shweta, don't cry. I started asking you so many questions without even asking how you are. Are you okay?"
Shweta slowly nodded her head. Then Swati turned and gestured for Shwet to come closer. Shwet came over to them. Swati, smiling, held his hand and said, "Look, Shweta, this is your son, Shwet."
Shweta knelt down in front of Shwet, looking at him with tear-filled eyes. Shwet looked at Swati, and Swati gently nodded her head. Shwet then said, "Maa..." That was all he could say.
Shweta hugged Shwet tightly, kissing his face repeatedly and saying, "My son, my child! You have no idea how I lived without you." Seeing Shweta's pain, tears welled up in everyone's eyes.
Bharati and Ruhi, who had just entered, were also watching this scene in amazement. When Ruhi saw Shweta, her eyes widened in shock. She looked at Swati, then at Shweta. She had seen Shweta's picture before, so Swati seemed familiar to her. But when she saw Shweta in person, she immediately recognized that this was the girl her brother loved, the one who was supposed to be dead. But how could she be standing here, alive?
Ruhi quickly went to Abhinav, took his hand, and whispered, "Bhai, is this the girl you love?" Abhinav only nodded his head in response. Abhinav, who was standing a little away from Swati, overheard Ruhiâs whisper.
Swati, surprised, turned around and looked at Abhinav, exclaiming, "Abhinav!"
Hearing Abhinav's name from her mouth, everyone started looking at her. Shweta also started looking at Abhinav and stood up holding Shwet's hand. Abhinav started coming towards her, when suddenly the sound of a loud slap echoed in the entire hall. Everyone was looking at Swati in surprise, because it was Swati who had slapped Abhinav.
Swati grabbed Abhinav's collar and said to him in a loud voice, "Don't even come near my sister, Abhinav Shukla! Otherwise remember, this time I will bury you alive. Because of you, her life has been completely ruined. You are the reason for her ruination, Abhinav Shukla! If I had known earlier that you are here in this city, I would have killed you."
Everyone was looking at Swati and Abhinav with widened eyes. No one was able to understand what Swati was saying. Except Shweta, Abhinav, and Ruhi.
Ruhi quickly came to both of them and releasing Abhinav's collar from Swati's hand, said, "Please, please, leave my brother! Bhai had not done anything wrong, he was helpless, that's why he couldn't come."
Ruhi was trying very hard, but Swati's grip on Abhinav's collar was completely tight, due to which she was not able to release it even if she wanted to. Abhinav was just looking at Shweta, who was standing there with her eyes down.
Swati's eyes had turned red with anger. Seeing her like this, Shivaay moved forward and pulled Swati away from Abhinav. Swati freed his hand and said, "Stay away! Who are you to interfere ?"
"If you want to get angry, do so, but first tell me the reason for this anger!" Shivaay held both her hands and brought her closer to him and said in a strict voice while looking into her eyes, Swati started looking at him grinding her teeth.
Bharti also got worried and asked Swati, "Yes, what happened? And how are you accusing my son like this? What has he done? He doesn't even know you people!"
Hearing Bharti's voice, Shivaay lightly pushed Swati away from himself. Swati came to Bharti clapping and said laughingly, "Your son has not done anything, he doesn't know us. Ask your son who we are? Â Ask your son, does he not know the girl whom he left pregnant years ago?"
Swati's statement was very surprising for everyone standing there as well as Abhinav. He started looking at Swati in surprise, and then at Shweta, then his eyes went to Shwet. He said in his mind, "Shwet, Shwet is my son!" As soon as he thought this, a smile came on his lips, and he moved towards Shwet.
Swati then picked up a fruit knife from the fruit basket kept nearby and came in front of Abhinav and said, "Don't make this mistake even by mistake, Abhinav! Don't come near these two even by mistake!"
"Enough!!!", Rishabh said in a loud voice.
Rishabh's loud words silenced Abhinav and everyone else. Once everyone was quiet, Rishabh looked at Dai Ma and said, "Dai Ma, please take Shwet inside, and Dadaji, you should also go and rest."
"Yes, papa, you should get some rest," Ajay and Alok said, leading Dadaji to his room. Meanwhile, Dai Ma came to Shwet and gently said, "Come on, dear, let's have some breakfast."
But Shwet didn't say anything. he was looking at Swati and feeling a bit anxious about her behavior.
Seeing Shwet so nervous, Swati regained her composure. She placed the knife back on the table, knelt down in front of Shwet, held his face, and lovingly said, "Sorry, bachha, did Masi Maa scare you?"
Shwet gently nodded his head. Swati kissed both his cheeks and said, "She won't scare you again. Go with Dai Maa, and I'll be there in a little while, okay?"
"Okay, but please don't fight too much," Shwet said softly. Swati smiled and nodded in agreement, and then Dai maa led Shwet away.
As soon as Shwet left, the anger that had briefly faded from Swati's face returned. Glaring at Abhinav in fury, she said to Bharti, "Since your son didnât have the courage to confess, let me tell you what he did. A few years ago, your son came to Kolkata and met my sister Shweta. Their meeting turned into friendship, and that friendship blossomed into love. Their love crossed all boundaries, but after getting what he wanted, he left my sister, saying there was an emergency at home and he had to leave immediately. He promised to return in two months to marry her. But two months after he left, Shweta found out she was pregnant. When my parents learned about it, they arranged her marriage to another manâsomeone who seemed nice on the outside but was truly vile and despicable. When he discovered that Shweta was pregnant with another manâs child, he made her life a living hell. He even brought his friends home to ruin her life further. I rescued her and brought her back home. If I hadnât, who knows what would have happened. Shwet might not even have been born. But after all this, that scoundrel didnât change. He repeatedly came to our home with his friends to harass both of us and this went on for months. Two months after Shwet was born, he came back again with 5-6 people, and in the chaos, a fire broke out. Shweta managed to save me and Shwet, but she stayed behind. She made me promise to save Shwet and myself at all costs. I saw my sister inside the burning flames with those man who were also inside, but to save the little life in my arms, I left her there. And every day, every moment, I feel the stabbing pain of that memory like a dagger in my heart. I didnât know Shweta had survived, but her survival was worse than death. She escaped one fire only to fall into another."
Tears streamed from Swati's eyes, but the voice that came from her was full of painâpain not just for herself but for Shweta. Shweta, who had been silently listening with her head down, didnât have the courage to speak. The others were shocked, especially Abhinav and Bharti. For Bharti, it was nothing less than a shock. She stumbled a few steps back, but Abhinav caught her.
When Bharti regained her composure, she looked at Abhinav, slapped him, and cried, "What have you done, Abhinav? How could you ruin a girlâs life like this?"
"Mom, I never intended to ruin Shweta's life, I loved her deeply. I told her I would come back. You know I had to leave Kolkata suddenly because of Dad's health issues. I thought Iâd return in two or three months, but then I had an accident," Abhinav's voice broke as he spoke, overwhelmed with emotion after hearing about Shweta.
Ruhi continued for him, saying, "Swati Bhaiya had an accident at that time, too. His condition was critical. We took him to London for treatment, and thatâs when he told me everything about him and Shweta. We didnât have time to inform the family, and when we returned, Bhaiya went back to Kolkata, but then he heard the news and saw your burned house. He was told that both Shweta and her husband had perished in that fire. Since then, Bhaiya has been shattered. I know how he has lived these past years. He didnât even want to live; he attempted suicide two or three times, but I and rishabh sir stopped him."
Swati, looking at Ruhi, said, "Whatever life he led, it couldnât have been worse than my sisterâs. Youâre a girl, you can imagine what life is like for women in such situations. So just think what my sister must have endured." Ruhi fell silent.
Just then, they heard someone collapse. Everyone turned around to see Shweta lying unconscious on the ground.
"Shweta!" Swati screamed as she rushed to her. Rishabh told Hardik, "Check on her!" and Hardik quickly went over to Shweta to examine her.
"Don't worry, she's just fainted due to weakness and low blood pressure. We need to give her glucose ASAP," Hardik said, placing a reassuring hand on Swati's shoulder. Swati simply nodded.
Shivaay and Hardik took Shweta to a room and hooked her up to an IV. Swati sat quietly, watching Shwetaâs unconscious face.
Hardik addressed everyone, "She needs rest and some space."
Everyone left the room, except for Shanaya, who stayed behind.
Bharti folded her hands in front of Swati and pleaded, "Please forgive me, child. I had no idea my son had committed such a sin. Please forgive me."
Swati gently lowered Bharti's hands and said, "You did nothing wrong, so you donât need to apologize. But yes, do make sure your son stays away from my sister and my child. I donât want his shadow anywhere near them."
"Swati, I know youâre very angry, and you have every right to be. I made a terrible mistake, but please, please donât take Shweta away from me. And Iâve just found out that Shwet is my sonâdonât take them away from me," Abhinav pleaded with tears in his eyes.
Swati looked at him. Her face was expressionless, but her eyes were filled with anger and hatred.
Without taking her eyes off Abhinav, she said to Bharti, "Take your son away from here, or I swear on my son, youâll lose yours forever."
Her tone and expression made it clear how much she loved her sister and that knowing about Shwetaâs life, Swati would never forgive the person responsible for it.
Bharti understood this as well. She took Abhinav by the hand and started to lead him away, but Abhinav protested, "No, Mom, I wonât leave Shweta ever again!"
Ruhi pleaded, "Bhaiya, Bhaiya, please, not for now!" But Abhinav was still unwilling to go. Swati had already turned and gone into her room.
Shivaay placed a hand on Abhinavâs shoulder and said, "Abhinav, thereâs no point in talking to her right now. She wonât listen to anyone, and youâre too emotional at the moment."
Despite this, Abhinav refused to leave, so Bharti and Ruhi finally took him away.
The house fell silent. No one knew what to say. Everyoneâs mind was occupied with thoughts of what Shweta must have endured.
Rishabh glanced at Anokhi, who was standing beside him, lost in thought as she stared at the floor. Her eyes were moist.
Rishabh took Anokhiâs hand, and she looked up at him. After a moment, she said, "Shweta Di and Swati Di should stay here tonight, please."
Rishabh nodded in agreement.
Swati sat by Shweta's side, holding her hand and staring at her.
She whispered to herself, "What should I do, Shweta? What can I do to erase all the pain from your life? If someone just tells me that by doing this, I can erase all your pain, I swear Iâll do it, even if it means giving up my life. How could God be so cruel to us? You never wished harm on anyone. You didnât even raise your voice to anyone, unlike me, always ready to fight. Then why did this happen to you? How did you survive in that hell? How did you breathe? I canât even imagine. And you, you livedâ¦"
Outside the room, Shivaay stood, watching Swati and listening to everything she said. Behind him, Rohit was watching Shivaay.
Rohit placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "Your girl is very strong, Shivaay. She knows how to take care of herself and the people around her."
Shivaay, still watching Swati, replied, "I know, sheâs very strong. But sheâs still human. Who knows what fate these two sisters had, one living as a living corpse in hell, and the other dying every day with regret."
Rohit sighed deeply. What could anyone say about these two sisters? There were no words. The two of them then left.
At that moment, Swati saw that Shweta was regaining consciousness, so she quickly wiped her tears, composed herself, and looked at her with a smile.
