Shweta slowly opened her eyes and saw Swati in front of her. She gazed at her without blinking and then quickly embraced her.

Swati, gently patting her back, said, "Everything is fine, Shweta, everything is fine."

Shweta responded, "I thought I was dreaming, Swati, that I had escaped from there and was able to meet you all again. If this were a dream, I wouldn't want to wake up."

"This isn't a dream, it's reality. You're back, Shweta, back with your family."

Just then, Dai Maa entered the room with Shweta. Placing her hand on Shweta's head, she asked, "How are you feeling now, dear?" Shweta gently nodded, and Dai Maa left the room.

Shwet, offering a glass of juice to Shweta, said, "Maa, drink this. You're very weak, this will give you strength."

He had brought the juice for Shweta along with Dai Maa. Seeing Shwet, Shweta's eyes filled with tears once again, but there was also a smile on her lips.

She took the glass from his hand and drank the juice. Swati, seating Shwet next to Shweta, said, "Look closely, Shweta, and see if I've taken good care of your precious one."

"This isn't my treasure, Swati. he's your son. I only gave birth to him, but you raised him, alone, in this unfamiliar city. Truly, you're like Yashoda to my child."

Shwet smiled at both of them, holding their hands and said, "Now I have two moms, one maa and one Masi maa."

Both smiled at his words, while Shweta's gaze lingered on Shwet's face.

Swati, holding her hand with a smile, said, "Talk to Shwet, he has a lot to share with you. I'll be back soon." Saying this, Swati left the room.

After leaving the room, her steps halted. She peeked inside to see Shwet hugging Shweta, chatting with her with a smile, and Shweta, with tears in her eyes, was smiling as she lovingly patted his head, listening to him.

Seeing them like this, tears filled Swati's eyes once again. She said to herself, "You've endured all the pain you were meant to, Shweta, but I promise you, I'll bring every happiness in your life, and this is your sister's vow."

Swati left the room, leaving Shwet and Shweta alone. After years, a mother had been reunited with her son. she didn't want to interfere in any way. She wanted to give them time, believing that Shweta, being with Shwet, might forget her pain, even if only for a few moments.

Swati got lost in her thoughts when someone suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her into a room.

The scene was familiar to Swati, so she didn't scream. She knew who it could be, and when she looked up, her suspicion was confirmed. The one who had grabbed her hand and pulled her was none other than Shivaay.

Shivaay asked Swati, "Why didn't you scream?" Swati replied, "Because someone told me this room is soundproof. And what's the point of screaming when my voice won't be heard outside? Besides, the person who brought me here knows he wouldn't do anything wrong to me, so why should I scream? And if it comes to screaming, it won't be my turn but yours because you brought me here, so you decide if I should scream or not."

Hearing such a long answer to a simple question, Shivaay's mind spun. He realized that Swati's feelings were overwhelming.

Swati said to Shivaay, "I know you've helped us, but that doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful to me."

Shivaay completely ignored her words and, repeating himself, said, "I said stop it, Swati. And I'm the one who has seen almost every side of you in the past few days—whether it's anger, hatred, calmness, mischief, love... everything. So, I want you to let this emotion out in front of me and lighten your heart."

"Let go of me, Shivaay."

Swati had just uttered Shivaay's name, and a momentary joy flashed in Shivaay's eyes. But instead of loosening his grip, he held her even tighter, pulling her closer to him. Now, it was very difficult for Swati to control her emotions. Where her eyes had been red, they were now filled with tears, and her voice choked.

She said, "Why are you doing this? If I cry, I'll break. You know I have to take care of Shweta and Shwet, so why are you forcing me to be weak?"

Shivay hugged her tightly against his chest. Swati, overwhelmed with her own sorrow and Shivaay's, broke down and cried.

She sobbed in his arms, saying, "You don't know, you don't know how innocent my sister was. You say I fight with everyone, but she was the opposite of me. While I would argue and shout at everyone, picking fights with people, Shweta wouldn't even speak in a loud voice, let alone argue. So why did this happen to her? What mistake did she make? She lived such a simple life, and for the mistake of falling in love, she was punished so harshly that her life and dignity were ruined. In that brothel in Kolkata, where girls were even afraid to raise their eyes, my sister lived for so many years. Who knows what kind of life she had there? What should I do, what should I do?"

Shivaay cupped her face in his hands and looked at her tear-stained face. Swati placed her hand on his and said, "I don't even have the courage to ask Shweta about what her life was like all these years. I can't even imagine it, so how will I be able to listen to it?"

Shivaay wiped her tears and, resting his forehead against hers, said, "But you must ask her, Swati. Until you ask, she won't tell you, and it's important for her to bring those years of pain from her heart to her lips. Until she expresses her pain, she won't be able to live her life. I know it will take time, but with the support of loved ones, all wounds heal."

"I can't do it. I don't have the strength," Swati said, shaking her head in tears.

Looking into her eyes, Shivaay said, "You can do anything because the Swati I know is a lioness. She doesn't know how to be weak, she knows how to roar. You're the kind of lioness who would rip off the hand of anyone who dares to touch her. You're the kind of lioness who can do anything for her son, even if it means taking on Shivaay Parimal. You're a lioness who loves her sister dearly and would never let her break or become weak. Even if you don't believe it, I have full confidence that you can do it; you can do everything."

Shivaay spoke to Swati with conviction, and as she listened to him, something about his words brought her comfort.

Swati didn't say anything, she just nodded her head slightly. Shivaay lovingly kissed her forehead and once again embraced her. Swati, eyes closed, stood in his arms, unaware of how close she was to Shivaay at that moment—so close that she could hear his heartbeat, and he could hear hers.

But she wasn't thinking about that. All she could focus on was the solace she felt being in Shivaay's arms. After so many years, she had found someone to lean on, something she had forgotten after all those years of raising Shwet alone. She had forgotten what it felt like to have someone's support, to have someone's company.

The two of them stood there for a long time, eyes closed, finding peace in each other's arms. Suddenly, the window shutters clattered loudly as the wind blew in, and the noise snapped them out of their reverie.

Seeing each other so close, they both felt a moment of awkwardness. Shivaay slowly let go of Swati's shoulders and waist, and Swati stepped back.

Swati stood there, looking down as she tucked her hair behind her ear, while Shivaay looked around the room. The moment had become a bit awkward for both of them.

Then they both said simultaneously, "Sorry..."

" thank you..."

"Why are you thanking me? "

"Why are you apologizing?"

Once again, they both spoke at the same time. They both squeezed their eyes shut tightly and turned their faces away from each other.

Taking a deep breath, Swati looked at Shivaay and asked, "Why are you apologizing?"

Shivaay, glancing around the room, said, "For bringing you into my room like this and touching you without your permission, so I'm sorry."

Swati said nothing, and then Shivaay asked, "And why are you thanking me?"

"For saving my sister. Honestly, you did us a huge favor by bringing my sister back. I'll never forget this favor. Thank you so much."

"There's no need to talk about favors," Shivaay said simply.

Swati was about to leave when her hand accidentally hit the table, causing a file to fall to the ground, and along with it, photos of Shwet, Swati, and Shweta scattered near her feet.

It was the same file that contained all the information about Swati. Seeing those photos, Swati was startled, as was Shivaay. He moved forward to pick up the file, but by then, Swati had already gathered all the photos and the file.

Swati, I’ll explain to you why I have all these photos,” Shivaay tried to explain to Swati, knowing that seeing all these photos and the information file in his room would surely make Swati misunderstand. However, Swati's words surprised him.

Swati's face was completely calm. She looked up at him and said quietly, “Do you love me, Shivaay?”

Shivaay was taken aback and couldn’t say anything. Swati asked him again, “Shivaay, do you love me?”

Upon being asked again, Shivaay mustered his courage, nodded yes, and looking into her eyes said, “Yes, I love you and—”

Shivay couldn’t finish his sentence. Swati's laughter interrupted him. Hearing Shivaay’s words, Swati started laughing, and Shivay became confused.

Swati, still laughing, took a step closer to him and said, “How foolish I am! Yes, I’m really very foolish, that’s why I made a mistake. I had forgotten that all men are the same. Did you think that if you said you loved me, I would just accept it? The love of men is always the same—getting the girl. And your intention was the same. You saw that I am a single mother, so you probably thought it would be easy to get the girl. You found out that I love my sister a lot, so you thought you’d make me bring my emotions in front of you, get close to you, handle you, become friends, love you, and then take me to bed.”

Shivaay stared at Swati with wide eyes, each of her words piercing his heart.

“You’re misunderstanding me,” Shivaay said as he moved towards her. Swati, hitting him with the file, said, “I’m not misunderstanding, I understand perfectly well, Shivaay Parimal. But you did say one thing correctly—if anyone tries to lay a hand on me, I’ll separate their hand from their body. So remember what I said and don’t even think of coming close to me.”

As Swati was about to leave, Shivaay grabbed her hand and pushed her onto the bed. Before Swati could react, Shivaay was on top of her, holding her hands above her head, bringing his face close to hers, and said, “You’ve said a lot, and I’ve listened to a lot. You said that I want to bring you to bed, so I’m doing all this. So, Swati Tiwari, don’t forget that if I want, I can fulfill what you’re thinking right now. But I don’t want to gain your body, I want your heart, so I’m staying silent. And I’ll wait in this silence until your mind clears of the notion that every man loves a girl just to get her body. I’ll wait for that day, but don’t think that my waiting means you’ll belong to someone else—not at all. Swati Tiwari, if anyone's name will be added before yours, it will be Shivaay Parimal, and if anyone’s name's Vermilion and mangalsutra will be on your forehead and neck, it will be mine. I might stay away from you, but I won’t let anyone come near you.”

Swati, giving him a look that could burn, was writhing, trying to free herself from his hold, but then Shivaay placed his lips on hers. As soon as this happened, Swati’s writhing stopped completely.

Shivaay wasn’t forcefully kissing her in anger or rudely, he was kissing her very softly, as if trying to express his love through this kiss.

After a while, Shivaay pulled away and, breathing heavily, looked at her. Swati’s eyes were closed, and she was also breathing heavily.

Shivaay softly said, “And this feeling will remind you every moment that there is someone waiting for you, and you will never forget me.” After saying this, he released Swati’s hands and moved away from her.

After lying still for a moment, Swati opened her eyes and stood up from the bed. The next moment, Swati slapped Shivaay on the cheek and, pointing a finger at him, said angrily, stressing every word, “And this slap will remind you that your wait will never end. Shivaay Parimal, remember, Swati Tiwari will never be yours.” With that, she turned and left the room. Shivay watched her leave with slightly teary eyes.

Guest Room

Archana was sitting with her back against the headboard of the bed, thinking about her past, about Manish. Just then, someone knocked on her room door.

She looked up to see Omkar and Anokhi standing with blankets and pillows in their hands. Seeing them, Archana wiped her tears and said, “You both here? What’s the matter?”

They both came in and said together, “Can we both sleep with you?”

Hearing them, Archana smiled and opened her arms. Omkar and Anokhi quickly came to her, sat beside her, and hugged her. Archana smiled, closed her eyes, and started caressing their heads.

Then both of them lay down next to Archana and hugged her tightly. Anokhi even clung completely to her, resting her head on Archana’s shoulder.

Feeling a bit emotional, Anokhi said, “I’ve waited so long for this moment.” Hearing her, Omkar and Archana looked at her.

Omkar placed his hand on her cheek and said, “So now close your eyes and feel this moment.” Saying this, he closed Anokhi’s eyes gently.

Rishabh’s Room

Rishabh lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. This time, when Anokhi mentioned sleeping in Archana’s room, Rishabh wasn’t angry at all.

He also wished that his cupcake would hug his mother and sleep, and since he cannot hug her properly because of the bullet wound, he hoped that his cupcake would get a peaceful sleep, which Archana would surely give her.

Lost in these thoughts, someone entered his room without knocking. Rishabh closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and said, “I already told you not to come into my room without knocking.”

Vikram, who had entered his room, lay down beside Rishabh and said, “Oh come on, I’m just worried about you, and you’re giving me a lecture. Look, I’m so concerned about you. When I found out that your cupcake went to sleep with her mother, I came to be with you so you wouldn’t feel lonely.”

Rishabh didn’t react to his words and, glaring at him, said, “Get out of my room.”

“Not at all, I’m going to sleep here today,” Vikram said, wrapping himself in a blanket. Then, after thinking for a moment, he looked at Rishabh and said, “Look, just because I’m sleeping next to you doesn’t mean you should take advantage of me in your dreams. What if you dream about my princess and in reality, kiss me? There’s no trust with you, you’re not a virgin, but I still am. So, please respect my dignity.”

“You came here to talk this nonsense,” Rishabh said, getting very angry at Vikram’s nonsense.

Vikram laughed and said, “Oh no, I was just joking. I know you’re not interested in anyone other than my princess. And as for nonsense, let’s get serious for a moment.” With that, Vikram’s expression suddenly turned serious. Seeing this change, Rishabh asked quietly, “What’s on your mind?”

“Nothing, just wondering what you think, should Sweta give Abhinav a chance?”

Vikram placed his hands behind his head and looked at the ceiling, waiting for Rishabh’s response. Rishabh, also looking at the ceiling, said, “How can I say? Whatever Sweta endured in Rang Mahal, whatever happened to her, whether she will trust anyone else or not, I don’t know. But yes, I do know that Abhinav really loves her.”

Just then, Vikram remembered something and, leaning his head on one hand, looked at Rishabh and said, “By the way, you and Praveen haven’t told us when Abhinav and Ruhi joined our gang?”

Rishabh glanced at him and then said, “You know, Ruhi and Abhinav used to play with us in childhood, especially with Rohit. So, when Abhinav kept trying to commit suicide, Ruhi called me because she couldn’t tell anyone else. I told Abhinav if he wanted to die, at least do it after doing good deeds, why waste death?”

Vikram shook his head in regret and said, “You’re really heartless, you know. Instead of stopping someone from dying, you were telling him the benefits of dying.”

As Rishabh started to turn, Vikram fell silent and said, “Continue…”

Rishabh continued, “When Abhinav found out that I was the leader of 7 Rings, he said he wanted to join me. After joining, he did all the secret work for me. Ruhi also knew Abhinav was with me, so she wanted to join too, but both Abhinav and I refused her. Still, she learned a bit from us. So, I sent her as a personal bodyguard for Cupcake in college as a student. That’s why I know Abhinav really loves Sweta. He made a mistake, and that mistake turned Shwet’s and Shweta’s lives upside down. Mistakes, whether made by Abhinav or me, or whether they were unintentional, have severe consequences.”

While talking, Rishabh seemed lost in thought. Seeing him lost, Vikram distracted him by saying, "Hey man, we're talking about Abhinav here, and you're sitting here with your old stories? Anyway, if he really loves her that much, it must be very difficult for him, and on top of that, he just found out today that he has a son. What must he be going through? I don't understand, you all love stories are so complicated!"

Rishabh started looking at him, so vikram said, "Yes, I’m right. Abhinav and Shweta are so tangled up, and you know, when Shivaay was talking to Swati today, I noticed something in his eyes. I think he loves Swati!" Vikram said.

But Rishabh didn't react to what he said. Seeing his expressionless face, Vikram made a disgusted face, but then he remembered something else and said, "By the way, speaking of love, Rohit also loves Ruhi, right?"

Rishabh gave him a glance and then closed his eyes. Vikram, making a face, said, "Oh man, he’s your brother. If you don't care about your friend, at least care about your brother's love! I was so impressed just by looking at Ruhi. she was so cute and chubby in childhood, but look at her now! But my God, the state she left those goons in! Anyway, Rishabh, are you even listening to me? Won’t you do something for your brother?" Vikram said, shaking Rishabh’s shoulder. Annoyed, Rishabh said, "He’s not a child, they know how to deal with their love stories and their love. And did you come here to gossip about other people's lives like aunties? If so, I’m giving you a last warning—leave quietly before I get angry!"

"Yeah, yeah, the second name of anger is Rishabh Shergill! But really, if all girls agreed, all boys wouldn’t have to struggle so much. My Preeti is the best, she didn’t make me wait at all and said yes quickly."

"Yeah, she didn’t make you wait at all. The silence you got every night in response to 'I love you' was her confession, right?" Rishabh said, eyes closed.

Vikram made a face and said, "Yes, that was her silent confession, and anyway, she loved me from then. she just wanted to confess in front of me, not over the phone."

Then, remembering Preeti, he smiled and said, "Oh, how lovely is my Preeti! I don’t know when we’ll get married, when she’ll sleep in my arms, and I won’t have to sleep with anyone else. When will all these troubles end, and my wedding day come? This devil is already married, had his wedding night, but I haven’t even had an engagement, I haven’t even had a kiss. I don’t know when God will listen to me!" Vikram kept mumbling with his eyes closed.

Rishabh opened his eyes and looked at him. Vikram was turning his back, mumbling to God about his sad life. Seeing his drama, Rishabh smiled and shook his head in disagreement, closing his eyes.

Midnight_

Shweta was sleeping when her old memories started haunting her. Every night, the things that were hers started to ring in her ears. She woke up in panic. Her face was drenched in sweat. Tears were flowing from her eyes and she was panting badly. She looked around and saw Shwet and Swati sleeping next to her. On seeing them, she quickly put her hand on her mouth so that her sobs could not be heard by either of them and they both did not wake up.

Shweta got down from the bed in a hurry and went out of the room. She was looking here and there nervously and went and sat in a balcony on the corridor of the first floor. She was hiding behind the wall, gathering herself in herself and holding her legs tightly with her hands and crying.

She was remembering her past life, meeting Abhinav again, his words, his meeting in Kolkata, friendship, love and Shwet's birth, the hell life of rang mahal.

She repeatedly shook her head and said, "No no no, even though Abhinav was helpless and could not come to Kolkata, even though he still loves me, I cannot be his now, I cannot be his. He may say that he loves me, but when he will get to know that who knows how many hands have touched me, who knows how many men have spent nights with me, then forget about loving me, he will feel disgusted even in touching me. Even though I have not forgotten his departure till now, but I will not be able to see the dirty feelings in his eyes for me."
