" You're still as pure as the Ganga to me, Shweta," hearing this voice, Shweta turned around to see Abhinav standing with tears in his eyes. Seeing him, Shweta stood up.

A little while ago,

Abhinav and Ruhi were standing in the garden below. Ruhi said, "Bhai, please, I'm asking you to leave it for today; we can talk tomorrow."

"No, Ruhi, I'll talk to Shweta today itself. I won't be able to breathe without speaking to her. You wait here for me, I'll be back soon."

"But bhai, can't we go through the main door?" Ruhi asked. Abhinav refused, saying, "No, if anyone sees me, they won't let me meet Shweta again, and I must meet her." Saying this, Abhinav moved towards the pipe and climbed up to the first floor with its help.

Ruhi watched him go. Five minutes later, she said to herself, "What am I doing standing here? I'll do one thing, I'll go after him too. Maybe he needs my help." Saying this, she also moved toward the pipe and started climbing it slowly.

She was almost there when her foot suddenly slipped. But before she could fall to the ground, strong hands caught her in their arms.

In fear, Ruhi closed her eyes, but when she felt she wasn't on the ground, she opened her eyes. In front of her was Rohit's worried, slightly anxious face.

Rohit, scolding her slightly, said, "What were you doing? Where were you going, climbing the pipe? And what was the need to climb the pipe? Isn't there a main door in the house? What if you had fallen? What if you had gotten hurt? What are you doing here?" Rohit kept asking one question after another.

Ruhi said to him, "Put me down." Saying this, she started moving her legs to get down. Rohit's grip tightened, and he pulled her closer, saying, "Answer me first."

Giving up, Ruhi said, "I came here with my brother. He wanted to meet Shweta, so he came here. He went upstairs and asked me to wait. But I thought I would go up too, so I started climbing. Now I've answered all your questions, so put me down." So, Rohit put her down.

"Thank you for saving me from falling," Ruhi said coldly and turned to leave. But Rohit grabbed her hand, stopping her, and said, "Ruhi, since we met, we haven't had a single chance to talk. I want to talk to you."

Ruhi tightly closed her eyes, then opened them after a moment and turned to look at him. She pulled her hand away from his and said, "Rohit, I don't think there's anything left for us to talk about. And next time, don't grab me like this." Saying this, she turned to leave again.

Rohit stepped in front of her and said, "Look, I know you're very angry with me, very much so. And I admit my mistake. I shouldn't have said those things to you when we were kids. I'm sorry. I thought that if I stayed away from you, my friends would also stay away from you. That's the only reason I did it."

"Why are you giving me explanations, Mr. Rohit? You did what you felt was right. I did what I felt was right. So why is there a need to say sorry? Yes, I learned one thing from what you did, this world only values beauty and appearance. I've forgotten all that. It's better if you forget me too."

"You're just pretending to forget, Ruhi," Rohit said, grabbing her hand as she was leaving. He then pulled her closer, saying, "Even though you're calling me Mr. Rohit, I'm still the same Rohit you used to love to being with. I admit I made a mistake, and I'm asking for forgiveness. You have no idea how many years..."

Ruhi interrupted him, saying, "I don't care what you've done over the years or what you haven't. I'm not interested. And even if you're the same Rohit you were in childhood, I'm not the same Ruhi I was in childhood. She was stupid, fat, and everyone teased her about her weight—they teased that Ruhi. No, look at me now. Now, I'm the girl every guy wants. But this Ruhi has no interest in you or your life. It's better if you stay away from me. Got it?"

Saying this, Ruhi walked away and sat in the car, waiting for Abhinav to return. Rohit just stood there, watching her leave. He had said sorry, but his heart didn't feel lighter. In fact, hearing Ruhi's words made his heart even heavier. He slowly walked back into the mansion.

Meanwhile, Abhinav had been searching for Shweta and finally found her on the balcony. He had heard everything Shweta had said. Seeing Abhinav, Shweta wiped her tears and started to leave.

But Abhinav grabbed her hands, stopping her, and said, "Don't go, don't go. I can't watch you walk away from me again. Trust me, Shweta. You know your Abhinav, don't you? You know how much I love you? I loved you , and I love you today. Do you really think I only loved you for your body? What happened between us was love, wasn't it? My love was never about lust. Why are you misunderstanding me? And what did you just say, that I would think wrongly of you? That I would hesitate to touch you?"

Abhinav cupped Shweta's face in his hands and said, "I couldn't even dream of thinking that way. What happened to you was not your fault. So why would I punish you? I should be punished. I, who couldn't protect my love. My love kept being crushed, and I had no idea. And I didn't even know that my son was in the same city. I was in the same city, but I couldn't recognize him, couldn't meet him. I want to right every wrong I've done. Whatever you say, whatever punishment you give, I'll accept it all. I'll accept everything, but please, please don't push me away. Shweta, I can't live without you." Saying this, Abhinav knelt before Shweta. He was completely broken. Seeing him like this, Shweta started crying even more.

Through her tears, Shweta said, "I'm no longer the Shweta you once loved. The Shweta you once loved died the moment someone else touched her. Understand that this Shweta is just like a dirty cloth that cleans up filth, nothing more."

Hearing this, Abhinav stood up and, putting his hand over her mouth, said, "No, no, don't think like that. Don't think wrongly of yourself. Shweta, someone touching you doesn't make you dirty or impure. I know your body was touched before, but your soul and heart have only been touched by me. They are still as pure and beautiful as the first time I saw them."

"You said it right, Shweta is as beautiful today as she was before. That's why you want to come back into her life, but this time I won't let it happen. This time, you won't even be able to get close to Shweta," said Swati as she walked up to them and pulled Shweta away from Abhinav, standing in front of him herself. Both of them were startled to see Swati there.

Abhinav wanted to say something, but Swati pointed a finger at him and said, "Absolutely not, Mr. Abhinav. You've said everything you needed to say. What did you think, that you could come back to my sister, thinking she's weak, and she would melt? No, I won't let her weaken. This time, nothing will happen like it did before. So, it's better if you stay away from her and leave."

Swati started to walk away with Shweta, but Abhinav called after them, "Swati, your anger is justified, your hatred is justified, but my love is justified too, and so is my suffering. I lived with the thought that Shweta was no longer in this world, and it killed me every day. Take her away if you must, but remember one thing—I will always be behind her. I lost Shweta once; I won't lose her again."

Hearing this, both Swati and Shweta turned to look at him. While there were tears in Shweta's eyes, there was anger in Swati's. They both left without saying anything, and Abhinav kept watching them until they disappeared into their room. Then Abhinav also left the way he had come. He reached the car and sat in the passenger seat.

When Ruhi, sitting in the driver's seat, saw his red eyes, she gently asked, "Did you talk to her?" Abhinav didn't answer her; he just closed his eyes, leaned his head back on the seat, and softly said, "Let's go home." Hearing his heavy voice, Ruhi didn't ask any more questions and started the car, driving away from there.

Shivika's room _

Hardik was standing outside Shivika's room. He needed to talk to her, but he wasn't getting the opportunity, and without talking to her, he couldn't find peace. So, even though it was late at night, he still went to talk to Shivika. Now, he was feeling a bit hesitant about entering her room.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. As soon as he touched it, the door opened. Hardik's eyebrows furrowed, and he thought to himself, "This girl is sleeping with the door open?"

He called out Shivika's name, but there was no response from inside. He peeked into the room, but Shivika wasn't there. He went inside the room, checked the bathroom, but Shivika was nowhere to be found in the entire room.

He muttered to himself, "Where did this girl go so late at night?" He was just about to leave the room when his eyes fell on a medicine box placed on the table. He picked up the bottle and saw that they were sleeping pills.

Hardik said in surprise, "Sleeping pills? What are these doing in Shivika's room? Does she take these pills?"

Suddenly, he remembered how after Rakhi's death, he too had to take pills because he couldn't sleep. He had fallen into depression. Hardik clenched the bottle tightly and started thinking about Shivika. After a moment of thought, he headed towards the terrace.

When he reached there, he saw Shivika standing in a corner, sitting on the parapet with her back against the wall, gazing at the sky. Hardik, standing behind her, said, "Do you not sleep at night? Sometimes you're in the garden, sometimes on the terrace."

Shivika turned to look at him but didn't reply, then went back to staring at the sky. Hardik waved the bottle of sleeping pills in front of her eyes and said, "You don't sleep, which is why you need sleeping pills to fall asleep."

Seeing her sleeping pills in Hardik's hand, Shivika's eyes widened in surprise. She immediately took the bottle from his hand and said, "Why did you go into my room, and how did you touch my things without asking?"

Hardik said, "First, answer my question. What are these sleeping pills doing in your room? Why do you need them?"

Shivika replied, "I don't have to answer any of your questions, Hardik. And what will you do with the information? Laugh at me? By the way, why did you go into my room? To make fun of me? To show sympathy? Did you come to me thinking that the guy I loved left me and the guy I was going to marry left me for someone else? Are you feeling very sorry for my situation? So, Mr. Hardik, remember, Abhinav is not the last guy in this world. There are others. And in the future, don't enter my room or touch my things."

Shivika finished speaking and was about to leave, but Hardik grabbed her hand, pulling her close, and said, "You said so much, but you didn't answer my question. Why do you take sleeping pills? Are you in depression?"

Hardik had asked this question with great difficulty; his voice had softened because he knew what it was like to be in depression and couldn't even imagine Shivika being in such a state. But Shivika looked into his eyes and said, "Yes, I was in depression. That's why I take sleeping pills because I can't sleep. Your words broke me from within, causing me to completely fall apart. Was it my fault that I loved you?"

Saying this, tears welled up in Shivika's eyes. Hardik looked at her in surprise and, holding her face with his hand, asked, "Shivika, are you drunk?"

Shivika's eyes were slightly red, her speech was slightly slurred, and there was a scent of alcohol on her breath. Hardik got his answer. He asked, "Why did you drink?"

Shivika pushed his hand away from her cheek and said, "Why shouldn't I drink? I feel bad for Abhinav, for Shweta. I don't understand why no one in this world gets their love. If love is so hard to get, then why did God even create love? You couldn't get your love; you lost Rakhi. I couldn't get my love because you didn't love me. Abhinav lost his love because he thought Shweta was dead. Shweta lost her love because she thought Abhinav had betrayed her. Think about it, if nothing had happened to Rakhi, she would be with you, and you would be happy. If Abhinav had found out everything in time, he would have saved Shweta. But what about me? Even if Rakhi were alive, my heart would still have been broken. Yes, it would have hurt a little less because then I wouldn't have told you that I loved you. I would have just quietly kept loving you. And if I hadn't told you, you wouldn't have broken my heart, and then I wouldn't have fallen into depression. You were asking why I fell into depression, right? Your words started echoing in my mind everynight. My heart was broken, I couldn't sleep, so I started taking sleeping pills."

Shivika kept talking in her drunken state, and Hardik listened with slightly teary eyes. He realized how much he had hurt Shivika's heart. He knew how much pain Shivika was in because of him.

Shivika held Hardik's face with both her hands, bringing her face close to his, and said, "What was my fault, Hardik? When I saw you, I started falling in love with you. At first, I just liked you, but then, slowly, it turned into love. But I didn't come to you; I knew you loved Rakhi. So I kept my feelings to myself. But then Rakhi left, and you fell into depression. I couldn't stand seeing you like that, Hardik, it hurt me a lot. That's why I stayed with you, trying to take care of you. And when my feelings finally came to my lips, I didn't even realize it. When you found out that I loved you, you distanced yourself from me. But still, I didn't leave you, I was always afraid that if I left, who would take care of you? But you pushed me so far away that I eventually distanced myself from you. Hardik you tell me , what is lacking in me? All I ever asked for was a small place for myself. I never told you to forget Rakhi. I know she was your love." Saying this, Shivika placed her finger on Hardik's heart and said, "Rakhi will always be here in your heart, I know, and I accept that. I just asked for a small place for myself, but you completely pushed me out of your heart."

I wanted to be your love, but you broke our friendship and stopped talking to me. I became more and more restless. I curse the day I told you that I love you. I wish I hadn't said it."

Suddenly, Shivika's words got stuck in her throat as Hardik silenced her by placing his lips on hers. As soon as he did that, Shivika closed her eyes. Hardik kissed her with tearful eyes.

After a while, Hardik pulled away. Shivika opened her eyes and looked at him. He held her hands in his and interlaced his fingers with hers as he spoke, "You want to know why I did this, why I pushed you away?"

Shivika slowly nodded. Hardik said, "Because I was scared. I was scared, Shivika, that something might happen to you because of me. Everyone I've loved has left me. I loved my parents, and they left me. I thought my uncle would stay with me, but he betrayed me. Rakhi came into my life; she became my love. I thought I had someone, but she also left me. The pain of losing her will always stay in my heart. After that, you supported me, and to be honest, I started to like your company. You stayed with me, talked to me, and I always spoke to you about Rakhi without knowing that you had feelings for me. But when I found out that you loved me, I felt guilty. I kept thinking about how much pain you must have felt when the person you love talks to you about someone else. The same old fear settled in my mind, that if you came into my life and I loved you, you would leave too. That's why I stayed away from you, didn't let you get close to me. Every time, I spoke to you coldly, hoping you would leave on your own. But you were stubborn, Shivika, you never left in all these years, and that made me more and more attracted to you. Hope started to grow in me that no matter what happens, Shivika would never leave me. But somehow, I made a mistake on Holi. Seeing tears in your eyes, I started cursing myself inside, and before I knew it, the situation escalated, and you went away from me. I didn't even realize it. I didn't see your face for months. That's when I realized what place you hold in my heart. Every day, I tried to call you but couldn't gather the courage to do so, and my wait never ended. And when you returned, you came back with the news of your marriage."

Shivika listened to Hardik's every word and looked at him with red eyes. Hardik held her face in his hands and said, "When I heard that you were getting married, it felt like someone had ripped my heart out, and when I heard about you and Shivaay, it felt like everything was over for me. But after talking to Praveen, I decided that I would settle all the old scores in my life and get justice for Rakhi. After that, I would try for my love. Yes, Shivika, I love you very much. I'm not asking you to forgive me because of that; whatever punishment you want to give me, I'll accept, but please don't go away from me. I've lost too many loved ones, Shivika, I can't lose you. Don't punish me for my foolishness."

Tears kept flowing from Hardik's eyes, while Shivika, who had been listening to him, started feeling strange, like she was about to throw up. The next moment, she threw up on Hardik's shirt.

"Shivika!" Hardik looked at his shirt, which Shivika had dirtied, and then at her, who was now looking at him with half-closed eyes. By then, the alcohol had fully taken over her. Hardik quickly picked her up in his arms and carried her to her room.

Hardik took her to the bathroom to wash her face and then seated her on the sofa. He went back to the bathroom, took off his shirt, placed it aside, and cleaned himself with water. When he returned to the room without his shirt, he saw Shivika had fallen asleep while sitting on the sofa.

Hardik gently picked her up again and laid her on the bed. He was still leaning over her. He brushed her hair back behind her ear and said, "I don't know if you heard me or not, I don't even know if you'll remember any of this tomorrow. But everything I said is true. I love you very, very much, and if I have to wait for you, I can wait my whole life. Just stay in front of my eyes like this."

Hardik gently kissed her forehead, and as he was about to pull away, Shivika grabbed his hand, causing him to stumble and fall next to her.

Shivika, still drunk and half-asleep, held onto him and rested her head on his chest. Hardik said, "Shivika, move away," but she tightened her grip and murmured in her sleep, "Hardik, don't push me away; I love you very much."

Hearing this, Hardik's hands froze. He kissed her forehead again and said, "No, I will never push you away again." He tightened his grip on her as well.

The next morning_

When Shivika woke up, she felt a sharp pain in her head. She tried to lift her hands to hold her head, but she felt someone's grip on her hands and waist. She also realized that her head was resting on someone's chest. Seeing this, her eyes widened in surprise. She lifted her face and saw Hardik's peaceful, sleeping face right in front of her. Seeing him so close made her think for a moment that this was a sweet dream, and a soft smile appeared on her lips.

Shivika lovingly tried to reach out to touch Hardik's face, but once again, his grip stopped her hands, and with that, Shivika regained her senses. She tried to free herself from his grasp, which woke Hardik up.

Hardik opened his eyes and saw Shivika trying to free herself from his hold, so he loosened his grip. Shivika moved away, sat up, grabbed her dupatta, and draped it around herself. As she was about to get off the bed and leave, Hardik quickly grabbed her hand and said, "I didn't do anything wrong. You trust me, right? You know I wouldn't do anything wrong to you?"

Shivika, who was standing with her back to him, said without turning around, "I trusted you even before I loved you, and that trust remains even after the love is gone. I believe you wouldn't do anything wrong to any girl." Saying this, she freed her hand and started to leave. Hardik quickly stood in front of her, looked into her eyes, and asked, "What do you mean 'the love was'? It's not there anymore?"

Hearing his question, Shivika turned around, but when she saw Hardik's shirtless body, she averted her eyes. Hardik, who was waiting for her answer, smiled as he saw her doing this.

At that moment, the door to Shivika's room opened, and both of them looked towards it in surprise. Prafull was standing at the door, looking at them in shock, especially at Hardik, who was standing shirtless.

"What's going on here?" Praful asked.

Shivika said softly, "Papa..." Hardik was about to say something when Prafulla showed him his hand and said, "I am not asking you, but my daughter. Shivika, what is happening? Hardik, why are you in this condition? Shivika you said that you love this man, and I did not misunderstand you, but this does not mean that you will take advantage of my silence." Saying this, Prafulla raised his hand angrily.

Shivika closed her eyes tightly in fear of the slap. The next moment, a loud slap sound was heard in the room, but when Shivika did not feel the slap on her cheeks, she opened her eyes. She saw that Hardik's back was in front of her eyes. "Hardik," saying this, Shivika held Hardik's shoulders.

Prafulla was still angry and was staring at Hardik.  Hardik said, "You can slap me as much as you want, Uncle. But not Shivika. She did not do anything wrong and neither did I. Yesterday she was not feeling well, so I brought her to the room. She vomited on my shirt, so my shirt is in the washroom."

Prafull asked, "So were you not here with her the whole night?" Hearing his question, Shivika lowered her eyes, but Hardik kept looking into Prafull's eyes.

He said, " Staying together in one room does not mean that something has happened between us. You don't trust me, but you trust your daughter, right? She is your upbringing, she will never do anything wrong. And as for me, if I had to touch Shivika inappropriately, I would have done it long ago. I would not have waited to be in the mansion in front of everyone. She has been with me since college, but I have never touched her inappropriately. If you still don't believe this, then I will accept your punishment, but do not punish Shivika without any fault."

Prafull took a deep breath and said, "I want to talk to my daughter. You go away from here." Hardik looked at Shivika once and went out of the room without saying anything.

After he left, Shivika started looking at Prafull with her nervous eyes. Prafull gestured her to sit on the sofa, so Shivika sat quietly on the sofa.

Prafull sat beside her and holding her hand in his hand said lovingly, "My daughter, you got scared of me?"

On this, tears started flowing from Shivika's eyes and she said with a choked voice, "Sorry Papa."

Prafull said to her smilingly, "Why are you saying sorry? You have not done anything wrong and I trust my daughter."

He smiled and placed his hand on Shivika's cheek, so Shivika started looking at him with a little confusion.

Prafull asked smilingly, "What happened, are you thinking that when I trust you then why did I raise my hand on you?"

Shivika nodded, wanting to know the answer.  Prafulla said, "Because I wanted to see if hardik will also take every difficulty upon himself? Will he protect you not only from world, but even from her own father and yes, now I am sure that he will not let any harm come to you."

"But Papa, he has hurt me, he has broken your daughter so much that I went into depression, and still you are trusting him?" Shivika said I  crying and in a confused tone.
