CHAPTER 148
CEO
âIs this big enough?â Nash asked. âIsnât it better looking than the one you have?â
Nina looked at the bear, even taller than him, realizing she couldnât carry it without dragging it on the ground. She quickly shook her head, âI donât want it, itâs too big, and I donât like it.â
Nashâs expression darkened instantly. âIsnât this better than the one you have? Take it!â He tossed it over with one hand.
Nina looked at the bear she was holding, then another one was thrown at her. She was already carrying too much, and she felt like she was suffocating.
âNash, stop it!â Nina didnât want them to fall on the ground. She struggled to get her head out and spoke.
Nash remained silent, his expression cold. He couldnât understand. Wasnât she supposed to like big soft toys? This one was even bigger than the one she had, why wasnât she excited? Why couldnât she be happy?
Where did he go wrong?
Nina realized her words might have hurt his pride too much, so she softened her tone, âItâs too heavy, I canât carry it.â
âIâll help you.â Scott took the pink bear soft toy in his hands. âNow it should be fine.â
âThank you,â Nina finally recovered.
Seeing the awkward moment, Quincy sensed Nashâs overwhelming anger. Moreover, with Nina not paying attention to him, it only added fuel to the fire. He also felt sorry for Nash. The whole place was applauding him, yet Nina wasnât buying it.
âDo you want something to drink?â Scott asked Nina. âTheyâre selling bubble tea over there.â
âSure, Iâm thirsty,â Nina replied.
As they were about to leave, they suddenly heard Quincyâs urgent shout, âOh no, Mr. York, youâre bleeding!â
Nina was smiling, but upon hearing those words, her heart skipped a beat. She turned around and saw Nashâs hand bleeding, drops falling steadily.
She was startled, âWhat happened? Why is there so much blood?â
She rushed over, grabbing his hand to stop the bleeding. Nash noticed that she was still concerned about him, which softened his expression a bit.
With a composed tone, he asked, âI thought youâre going for bubble tea, so what brings you over?â
As he spoke, he leaned forward. Nina quickly supported him, âHow are you feeling?â
Quincy thought for a moment and quickly said, âMr. York might be feeling a bit faint.â
âFaint?â Nina was surprised. She had no idea.
Nash added, âGo get your bubble tea.â
âDonât talk!â Nina had no intention of having bubble tea anymore. âQuincy, go buy some bandages!â âOkay.â Quincy spotted a nearby pharmacy and hurried over.
Nina looked up, âWhat happened?â

âNope.â
Nashâs gaze was deep, âThen letâs go home later.â âYeah, okay.â
Quincy approached, handing the bandages to Nina. She quickly tended to his wound. It was quite long and looked like a scratch. She furrowed her brows, worried about infection.
