CHAPTER 154
CEO
Linda was initially nervous and felt like she was losing, but overhearing their conversation boosted her confidence. Ninaâs position as Mrs. York was meaningless; nobody knew about it, and it wouldnât serve any purpose. They would probably get divorced in the future.
As she looked at them, an idea suddenly struck Linda. âDonât be in such a hurry,â Linda smiled, âItâs not easy to get into York Corporation. You might be kicked out before even getting in!â
âHow could that happen? Iâm Nashâs aunt-in-law. Who would dare to kick me out?â Lily said confidently, relying on her status and expecting to be treated well.
Linda continued, âAll of you mentioned that Nina is wary of you. Sheâs Nashâs secretary. If youâre reported when you enter, sheâll be the first to know. Do you think youâll be allowed to stay?â
Lily frowned, realizing the possibility. âYou make a good point. I didnât speak nicely to her at the hospital. Coming here, she wonât give me a warm welcome!â
âMy niece doesnât respect her elders at all. She doesnât know how to show respect!â Sue, influenced by her auntâs words, became anxious. âWhat should we do?â
Lily looked ahead at the towering building with the York Corporation logo. The entire building belonged to the York family. They must be incredibly wealthy. She had never dared to imagine that her family would one day marry into such wealth.
âI have a solution!â Linda exclaimed. âIâm not sure if youâre open to trying it.â
Lily turned to Linda, her face brightening. âMiss, youâre a lifesaver! Whatâs your plan?â

Thirty minutes later, there was a commotion at the entrance of York Corporation Lily attempted to speak with the receptionist but couldnât locate Nina anywhere. She had anticipated this. Even though they were relatives, Nina didnât acknowledge her. Well, if Nina
wouldnât acknowledge her, then Lily
wouldnât hold back!
Lily began to throw an unreasonable tantrum, crying and causing a scene. âNina Walker is my niece, and her own aunt canât even see her. Sheâs disrespectful and doesnât care about her uncleâs life or death. Just because she works for a big company, does that mean she can disown her own family?â
The receptionist struggled to handle
Lilyâs behavior, She was particularly concerned about the sanitation
workers outside. If reporters witnessed this spectacle, it would damage the companyâs reputation. She quickly stepped forward to assist. âMaâam, please calm down. Take a seat and have some water.â
Lily glared at the receptionist. âWho wants water? Bring Nina out. If she doesnât come out, weâre not leaving!â
Linda had warned that directly confronting Nash would likely result in expulsion. It would be pointless to go empty-handed and risk being kicked out for no reason.
She was Ninaâs aunt, after all, and if Nina refused to acknowledge her own family, it would only show that Nina was heartless. Moreover, if Ninaâs image was tarnished, it could potentially affect York Corporation, and she couldnât allow that to happen. It made perfect sense to take action.
Nash was a big shot, and if he held a grudge against her, it could spell trouble for her in the future. Offending a wealthy nephew-in-law was not something she could afford. Therefore, she had to find a way to address the situation with Nina.
âMs. Walker is quite busy and doesnât have much time,â the receptionist said.
âEven if sheâs busy, she still has time to spare, doesnât she? What harm would it do to meet her aunt?â Lily persisted.
âI understand that sheâs avoiding me
because sheâs afraid Iâll cause
trouble, but even when her uncle was almost killed, she didnât lift a finger to help. Can your company really tolerate such a heartless employee? If sheâs disrespectful to her own family, can she be trusted to take care of the company? If news of this gets out, your companyâs reputation will be at stake!â
