Chapter 105: This is the reality
One Night With The Billionaire
Arianna buried her face on the nook of Jaceâs neck and sobbed the more. It seemed his words just ignited the sob and she was sniffing.
Jace Hudson left her for a while and when he talked he said âThat should be enough, Arianna. I let you sob because you couldnât do it properly last night. But itâs alright now.
This is the reality, Arianna. You are Senator Adrianâs daughter. You have to accept that reality and live with it. There isnât anything you can do about it, my loveâ
Arianna raised herself to a sitting position. âThere is something I can do. I wonât let him have the privilege of calling me his daughter. After what he did to my mom, gw can never be my father!â She snapped and cleaned her tears.
âWhat will you do, Arianna?â Jace asked. His stubborn girl is at it again. Sheâs exhibiting the same trait she did something ago. He raised himself to a sitting position and supported his back with a pillow.
He pulled Arianna to himself and glared into her face calmly. Somehow, he found himself in a similar situation with the Senator. A man can have a child and not know he has.
When Arianna was pregnant and gave birth to Eli, he didnât know a thing about it. Even after she got to know that he was the man she had an affair with a few years ago, she still didnât tell him she had his son.
Until fate brought him to meet Eli. If itâs true that Senator Adrian didnât know about her all these years, she canât blame him for not being responsible for her. He didnât know that heâs got a daughter, heâs not aware of her existence.
âI will sever any ties and link I have to him and tell him Iâm not his daughterâ Arianna declared in a childish way too. She glared at the rough hair and boyish look on Jaceâs face.
Jace chuckled. âIt wonât do you any good, my love. I am also a father. You know how I battled with you over Eli, right? The restraining order and the refusal to let Eli see you despite his little sobs and demand.
No man will be happy to see his child so close to him and yet would not call him father. If indeed, he didnât know about you and your mom hid you away from him, you canât blame him at allâ Jace explained.
âI am an adult. I am not Eliâs age. I can make my own decisionsâ Arianna replied.
Jace was quiet and eventually he said âLetâs have a bath. Thereâs a lot for todayâs activitiesâ he declared, kissing her temple.
âI will be going to see my Mom in her tomb. Itâs been a few years since I last visited herâ Arianna said.
âIâll go with you. I am with you on this. Donât ever think you are aloneâ Jace assured her.
An hour later, Senator Adrian called and Jace said Arianna was going to see her mother that morning. That word excites Adrian Delmark. Thank goodness, itâs time he visits Susan as well. He told Jace to send him the directions when Arianna leaves home.
After breakfast, Eli was supposed to go to school but he clung onto his father. Jace Hudson coaxed him to go to school, but Eli refused. He held his daddyâs thighs and insisted on going with him.
Unable to persuade him to yield, Jace allowed him to come along. He told Eliâs bodyguards and chauffeur that they were free for the day. The nanny was free until heâs back from work.
Arianna just smiled. Eli was addicted to his father now. She never knew a day would come when the boy would be less addicted to her. Now itâs Jace that he loves so much.
Jace Hudson carried him and together with Arianna got into the car. Eduardo and two other bodyguards followed from behind.
âDaddy,â Eli called, snuggling into his dad, holding his suit as if he was going to get in. Jace Hudson carried him on his thighs and Eli circled his arms around his dadâs neck.
âYes, Eli. Is there something you want to tell me?â Jace asked. He doesnât understand this sudden habit of Eli. Not going to school and snuggling into him like a lover.
âYes. There is something I want to tell youâ Eli said, kissing Jaceâs chin. Arianna turned and glanced at them. If Eli had been a girl, she would have said itâs the unique closeness between fathers and their daughters.
âAnything son, just tell meâ Jace said. Holding him by his waist. He cannot explain how much he loves Eli. He is a son he doesnât know he has until Arianna appeared into his life and came with a bunch of happiness.
âMy friend told me yesterday that heâs daddy and mommy bought him a new baby. Now, he has a sister and I donât have one. I want you to buy me a baby girl too!â Eli requested.
Jace Hudson was dazed. He suddenly stopped smiling and glared at Eli. What the heck! Eli was asking him for a baby and thought babies were bought in the grocery store.
âI want you to buy me a baby so that I will tell my friend that I have a baby too. He will bring his baby to the school and I want to take my baby girl to school tooâ Eli added.
Arianna, who had been moody, snapped her head and glared at Eli and Jace. At the same time, Jace also turned and glanced at her. None of them was able to say anything.
Arianna went pale. It seemed blood had stopped running through her veins. She swallowed hard and suddenly went shy at Jaceâs gaze on her.
âDaddy, when are we going to the grocery store? You will buy me one, right?â Eli requested.
That was when Jace turned to glance at Eli again, he sighed softly. So there is something that money cannot really afford? he could get his son anything money can buy in a couple of minutes.
He found himself helpless. Even if he would think of making babies with Arianna, itâs not something he could get immediately. For the first time in years, he doesnât know what to say.
Money and power is not everything!
