Chapter 111: Pop Some Champagne
One Night With The Billionaire
âOh!â Genesis grunted and chuckled aloud. Her boyfriend holding hands with his ex in a quiet secluded restaurant and he said itâs not what she thinks.
If she heard correctly, his ex was saying something about love in his eyes or whatever nonsense she shamelessly uttered. And he said itâs not what she think?
âNot what I think? You know what Iâm thinking?â Genesis tone changed and she didnât wait for Richard to answer before asking another question âTell me what I am thinking then.
Just tell me what you were doing with your ex-girlfriend when you brought her to lunch and romantically held each otherâs hand. Tell me, Richard Delmark â Genesis inquired.
Tessa wore an innocent expression but inwardly she was rejoicing. If only Richard could see her heart, he would see that she is dancing in there.
Let them fall apart so that she can come in. Thatâs her desire and it seemed itâs happening sooner than she actually expected.
âNot what you think, Miss Genesis. Richard and I just hung out together. Donât get mad at him, pleaseâ Tessa confessed.
âWho asked you for an explanation? Was I directing my questions to you? Just keep your lousy self out of thisâ Genesis snapped at Tessa.
âRichard dear, I hope I havenât causedâ¦âTessa was saying when Richard shut her down âBe quiet, Tessa. Just stay quietâ
In the heat of Geneâs fury, she still called him dear. Does she want to get things more complicated than it was already? He looked around and saw heads were turned in their direction.
âLetâs talk outside, please,â Richard said, standing up groggily. He felt ashamed of himself. This was what he was trying to avoid when he chose that place.
How was he supposed to know that Genesis and Arianna would be having lunch together there? He glanced at Arianna, the guilt of the previous day clouded his conscience and now, Genesis.
âIâm not going anywhere with you, lover boy. Enjoy your lunchâ Genesis snapped at him and glanced at his hand and then back to his face before walking away.
Richard tried to take her hand but Genesis took it away and turned. âI donât want to eat again, Arianna, Iâll just wait for you in the carâ she declared.
âIâd rather go somewhere else with you than sitting aloneâArianna snorted before walking behind Genesis out.
âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to hurt you. It wasnât intentional and I donât have anything with her. Sheâs my exâ Richard explained.
He had caught up with his girlfriend and sister just before getting to the car and pleaded. He looked so sincere and his apologies were genuine.
Arianna glared at him and saw the innocency of it in his eyes. She was convinced, Richard most likely didnât have such a thought in him to cheat on her.
âHeâs telling the truth, at least for now. I can see it in his eyesâ Arianna added, her gaze fixed on Richard.
Genesis glanced at Arianna and she nodded. Richardâs eyes were filled with appreciation and softened at his sisterâs words.
âIf one day, I discovered that you have anything with her, it would be the end of my relationship with youâ Genesis warned.
âYes, agreed,â Richard declared.
Iâll wait for you in the car. Mend your differencesâ Arianna said and was going to leave when Richard said âNot so soon, sister. Letâs have lunch together â
In a Presidential villa, an elderly woman sat by the window, glancing through between the window blinds when a man walked into the room.
âWe finally found some people who came to her tomb. But we could only recognise Senator Adrian Delmark and the CEO of the Hudsonâs holding, Jace Hudsonâ
The woman turned sharply and glared at the bodyguard. A shocked expression on her face eventually developed into a sweet smile. Her wrinkled face brightened with excitement.
Her hands shivered and her eyes went moist. At last, someone came to see Susan? Finally? She had waited for a few years.
Twice in a week, she sends flowers to Susanâs tomb. Then once in a month, she goes there to see her and asks her how sheâs faring on the other side.
She looked forward to when the news of someone visiting her tomb would get to her. And it eventually did. She must inform her son of the good news.
âSir, is also aware maâam. He was excited and instructed me to tell you about itâ the bodyguard added and the elderly woman nodded.
âThis is good news. Letâs pop some champagne to itâ she ordered.
When Tessa saw Richard go to his girlfriend and apologise to her, she was furious. Her complexion turned ashen and felt abandoned and neglected.
How could Richard walk out on her because of another woman? She used to be his girlfriend, shared his pain, disappointment, excitement and celebrated in the past.
She was by his side when his Mom was involved in an accident. He canât just forget the pleasant and good times they spent together.
Just because he broke up with her doesnât mean he had forgotten about her and erased his memory of the past between them.
For this singular act, she must get Richard back. She will tear them apart, she will turn them into arch enemies and she will get her man back. She would get Richard back even if she has to go to the depth of hell to achieve it!
That night, Jace returned late. He looked exhausted and worn out and simply sank into the sofa.
âHow has your day been, darling?â Arianna asked, sitting next to him and unbuttoning his shirt.
Jace grabbed her wrist and gently moved it away from his body. Arianna stiffened. He doesnât want her to touch him?
âMy day was hectic. I feel like I was run over by her horse. So exhaustedâ Jace responded, massaging his temple and yawning.
Arianna swallowed hard. She needs to confirm something. She placed her hand on Jaceâs belt and caressed his lower belly. âYou really look so, darlingâ she said, staring at him.
Jaceâs countenance changed. He held her wrist and shoved it aside more roughly this time and stood up âplease, donât touch meâ¦â he trailed off and rephrase his words âI donât like being touched that wayâ
Arianna was dazed. He doesnât like being touched that way?
